Isaiah 59

1 The damnable nature of sin. 3 The sins of the Jews. 9 Calamity is for sin. 16 Salvation is only of God. 20 The Covenant of the Redeemer.

 59:2 But x3588 x518 your iniquities 5771 haue x1961 separated 914 z8688 betweene 996 you and your God, 430 and your sinnes 2403 haue hid 5641 z8689 [his] face 6440 from x4480 you, that he will not heare. 8085 z8800 x4480

 59:3 For x3588 your hands 3709 are defiled 1351 z8738 with blood, 1818 and your fingers 676 with iniquitie, 5771 your lippes 8193 haue spoken 1696 z8765 lies, 8267 your tongue 3956 hath muttered 1897 z8799 peruersnesse. 5766

 59:4 None x369 calleth 7121 z8802 for iustice, 6664 nor x369 any pleadeth 8199 z8737 for trueth: 530 they trust 982 z8800 in x5921 vanity 8414 and speake 1696 z8763 lies; 7723 they conceiue 2029 z8800 mischiefe, 5999 and bring forth 3205 z8687 iniquitie. 205

 59:5 They hatch 1234 z8765 cockatrice 6848 egges, 1000 and weaue 707 z8799 the spiders 5908 web: 6980 he that eateth 398 z8802 of their egges 1000 x4480 dieth, 4191 z8799 and that which is crushed 2116 breaketh out 1234 z8735 into a viper. 660

 59:6 Their webbes 6980 shall not x3808 become x1961 garments, 899 neither x3808 shall they couer y3680 z8691 themselues x3680 with their workes: 4639 their workes 4639 [are] workes 4639 of iniquitie, 205 and the act 6467 of violence 2555 [is] in their hands. 3709

 59:7 Their feete 7272 runne 7323 z8799 to euill, 7451 and they make haste 4116 z8762 to shed 8210 z8800 innocent 5355 blood: 1818 their thoughts 4284 [are] thoughts 4284 of iniquity, 205 wasting 7701 & destruction 7667 [are] in their paths. 4546

 59:8 The way 1870 of peace 7965 they know 3045 z8804 not, x3808 and [there is] no x369 iudgement 4941 in their goings: 4570 they haue made them crooked 6140 z8765 pathes; 5410 whosoeuer x3605 goeth 1869 z8802 therein, shall not x3808 know 3045 z8804 peace. 7965

 59:9 ¶ Therefore x5921 x3651 is iudgement y4941 farre 7368 z8804 x4941 from x4480 vs, neither x3808 doth iustice 6666 ouertake 5381 z8686 vs: we waite 6960 z8762 for light, 216 but behold x2009 obscuritie, 2822 for brightnesse, 5054 [but] we walke 1980 z8762 in darknesse. 653

 59:10 We grope 1659 z8762 for the wall 7023 like the blind, 5787 and we grope 1659 z8762 as if we had no x369 eies: 5869 we stumble 3782 z8804 at noone day 6672 as in the night, 5399 [we are] in desolate y820 places x820 as dead 4191 z8801 men.

 59:11 We roare 1993 z8799 all x3605 like beares, 1677 and mourne 1897 z8799 sore y1897 z8800 like doues: 3123 we looke 6960 z8762 for iudgement, 4941 but [there is] none; x369 for saluation, 3444 [but] it is farre off 7368 z8804 from x4480 vs.

 59:12 For x3588 our transgressions 6588 are multiplied 7231 z8804 before x5048 thee, and our sinnes 2403 testifie 6030 z8804 against vs: for x3588 our transgressions 6588 [are] with x854 vs, and as for our iniquities, 5771 we know 3045 z8804 them:

 59:13 In transgressing 6586 z8800 and lying 3584 z8763 against the LORD, 3068 and departing away 5253 z8800 from 310 x4480 our God, 430 speaking 1696 z8763 oppression 6233 and reuolt, 5627 conceiuing 2029 z8780 and vttering 1897 z8774 from the heart 3820 x4480 words 1697 of falshood. 8267

 59:14 And iudgement 4941 is turned away 5253 z8717 backward, 268 and iustice 6666 standeth 5975 z8799 a farre off: 7350 x4480 for x3588 truth 571 is fallen 3782 z8804 in the streete, 7339 and equitie 5229 cannot 3201 z8799 x3808 enter. 935 z8800

 59:15 Yea truth 571 faileth, 5737 z8737 x1961 and he that departeth 5493 z8804 from euill 7451 x4480 maketh himselfe a pray: 7997 z8711 and the LORD 3068 saw 7200 z8799 it, and it displeased 5869 y3415 z8799 x7489 him, that x3588 [there was] no x369 iudgement. 4941

 59:16 ¶ And hee saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 [there was] no x369 man, 376 and wondered 8074 z8709 that x3588 [there was] no x369 intercessour. 6293 z8688 Therefore his arme 2220 brought saluation 3467 z8686 vnto him, and his righteousnesse, 6666 it x1931 sustained 5564 z8804 him.

 59:17 For he put on 3847 z8799 righteousnesse 6666 as a brestplate, 8302 and an helmet 3553 of saluation 3444 vpon his head; 7218 and he put on 3847 z8799 the garments 899 of vengeance 5359 [for] clothing, 8516 and was clad 5844 z8799 with zeale 7068 as a cloake. 4598

 59:18 According x5921 to y5921 [their] deedes 1578 accordingly x5921 he will repay, 7999 z8762 furie 2534 to his aduersaries, 6862 recompence 1576 to his enemies, 341 z8802 to the ylands 339 he will repay 7999 z8762 recompence. 1576

 59:19 So shall they feare 3372 z8799 x853 the name 8034 of the LORD 3068 from the West, 4628 x4480 and x853 his glory 3519 from the rising 4217 x4480 of the sunne: 8121 when x3588 the enemie 6862 shall come in 935 z8799 like a flood, 5104 the spirit 7307 of the LORD 3068 shall lift vp a standard 5127 z8790 against him.

 59:20 ¶ And the redeemer 1350 z8802 shall come 935 z8804 to Zion, 6726 and vnto them that turne y7725 z8802 from x7725 transgression 6588 in Iacob, 3290 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068
