Isaiah 26

1 A song inciting to confidence in God, 5 for his judgments, 12 and for favour to his people. 20 An exhortation to wait on God.

 26:1 ¶ In that x1931 day 3117 shall this x2088 song 7892 bee sung 7891 z8714 in the land 776 of Iudah; 3063 Wee haue a strong 5797 citie, 5892 saluation 3444 will [God] appoint 7896 z8799 [for] walles 2346 and bulwarkes. 2426

 26:2 Open 6605 z8798 ye the gates, 8179 that the righteous 6662 nation 1471 which keepeth 8104 z8802 the trueth 529 may enter in. 935 z8799

 26:3 Thou wilt keepe 5341 z8799 [him] in perfect y7965 peace, 7965 [whose] minde 3336 is stayed 5564 z8803 [on thee]; because x3588 he trusteth 982 z8803 in thee.

 26:4 Trust 982 z8798 ye in the LORD 3068 for euer: 5703 x5704 for x3588 in the Lord 3050 IEHOVAH 3068 [is] euerlasting 5769 strength. 6697

 26:5 ¶ For x3588 hee bringeth downe 7817 z8689 them that dwell 3427 z8802 on high, 4791 the loftie 7682 z8737 citie 7151 he layeth it low; 8213 z8686 he layeth it low, 8213 z8686 euen to x5704 the ground, 776 he bringeth 5060 z8686 it euen to x5704 the dust. 6083

 26:6 The foote 7272 shall treade it downe, 7429 z8799 [euen] the feete 7272 of the poore, 6041 [and] the steps 6471 of the needie. 1800

 26:7 The way 734 of the iust 6662 [is] vprightnesse: 4339 thou most vpright, 3477 doest weigh 6424 z8762 the path 4570 of the iust. 6662

 26:8 Yea x637 in the way 734 of thy Iudgements, 4941 O LORD, 3068 haue we waited 6960 z8765 for thee; the desire 8378 of our soule 5315 [is] to thy Name, 8034 and to the remembrance 2143 of thee.

 26:9 With my soule 5315 haue I desired 183 z8765 thee in the night, 3915 yea x637 with my spirit 7307 within 7130 me will I seeke thee early: 7836 z8762 for x3588 when x834 thy iudgements 4941 [are] in the earth, 776 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the world 8398 will learne 3925 z8804 righteousnesse. 6664

 26:10 Let fauour be shewed 2603 z8717 to the wicked, 7563 [yet] will hee not 1077 learne 3925 z8804 righteousnesse: 6664 in the land 776 of vprightnesse 5229 will he deale vniustly, 5765 z8762 and will not 1077 behold 7200 z8799 the maiestie 1348 of the LORD. 3068

 26:11 LORD, 3068 [when] thy hand 3027 is lifted vp, y7311 z8804 x5375 they will not x1077 see: 2372 z8799 [but] they shall see, 2372 z8799 and be ashamed 954 z8799 for [their] enuie 7068 at the people, 5971 yea x637 the fire 784 of thine enemies 6862 shall deuoure 398 z8799 them.

 26:12 ¶ LORD, 3068 thou wilt ordaine 8239 z8799 peace 7965 for vs: for x3588 thou also x1571 hast wrought 6466 z8804 all x3605 our workes 4639 in vs.

 26:13 O LORD 3068 our God, 430 [other] lordes 113 besides 2108 thee haue had dominion 1166 z8804 ouer vs: [but] by thee only x905 will we make mention 2142 z8686 of thy Name. 8034

 26:14 They are dead, 4191 z8801 they shall not x1077 liue; 2421 z8799 they are deceased, 7496 they shall not x1077 rise: 6965 z8799 therefore x3651 hast thou visited 6485 z8804 and destroyed 8045 z8686 them, and made all x3605 their memory 2143 to perish. 6 z8762

 26:15 Thou hast increased 3254 z8804 the nation, 1471 O LORD, 3068 thou hast increased 3254 z8804 the nation, 1471 thou art glorified; 3513 z8738 thou hadst remooued [it] farre 7368 z8765 [vnto] all x3605 the ends 7099 of the earth. 776

 26:16 LORD, 3068 in trouble 6862 haue they visited 6485 z8804 thee: they powred out 6694 z8804 a prayer 3908 [when] thy chastening 4148 [was] vpon them.

 26:17 Like y3644 as x3644 a woman with childe 2030 [that] draweth neere 7126 z8686 the time of her deliuerie, 3205 z8800 is in paine 2342 z8799 [and] cryeth out 2199 z8799 in her pangs; 2256 so x3651 haue wee beene x1961 in thy sight, 6440 x4480 O LORD. 3068

 26:18 Wee haue beene with childe, 2029 z8804 wee haue beene in paine, 2342 z8804 we haue as it were 3644 brought foorth 3205 z8804 winde, 7307 wee haue not x1077 wrought 6213 z8799 any deliuerance 3444 in the earth, 776 neither 1077 haue the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the world 8398 fallen. 5307 z8799

 26:19 Thy dead 4191 z8801 men shall liue, 2421 z8799 [together with] my dead body 5038 shall they arise: 6965 z8799 awake 6974 z8685 and sing 7442 z8761 yee that dwell 7931 z8802 in dust: 6083 for x3588 thy dewe 2919 [is as] the dewe 2919 of herbes, 219 and the earth 776 shall cast out 5307 z8686 the dead. 7496

 26:20 ¶ Come, y3212 z8798 x1980 my people, 5971 enter 935 z8798 thou into thy chambers, 2315 and shut 5462 z8798 thy doores 1817 about x1157 thee; hide 2247 z8798 thy selfe as it were for a little 4592 moment, 7281 vntill x5704 the indignation 2195 be ouerpast. 5674 z8799

 26:21 For x3588 behold, x2009 the LORD 3068 commeth x3318 out y3318 z8802 of his place 4725 x4480 to punish 6485 z8800 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the earth 776 for their iniquitie: 5771 the earth 776 also shall disclose 1540 z8765 x853 her blood, 1818 and shall no x3808 more x5750 couer 3680 z8762 x5921 her slaine. 2026 z8803
