Isaiah 16

1 Moab is exhorted to yield obedience to Christ's Kingdom. 6 Moab is threatened for her pride. 9 The prophet bewaileth her. 12 The judgment of Moab.

 16:1 ¶ Send 7971 z8798 ye the lambe 3733 to the ruler 4910 z8802 of the land 776 from Sela 5554 x4480 to the wildernesse, 4057 vnto x413 the mount 2022 of the daughter 1323 of Zion. 6726

 16:2 For it shalbe x1961 that as a wandering 5074 z8802 bird 5775 cast out 7971 z8794 of the nest: 7064 so the daughters 1323 of Moab 4124 shalbe x1961 at the fordes 4569 of Arnon. 769

 16:3 Take 935 z8685 counsell, 6098 execute 6213 z8798 Iudgement, 6415 make 7896 z8798 thy shadow 6738 as the night 3915 in the middest 8432 of the nooneday, 6672 hide 5641 z8761 the outcastes, 5080 z8737 bewray 1540 z8762 not x408 him that wandereth. 5074 z8802

 16:4 Let mine outcasts 5080 z8737 dwel 1481 z8799 with thee, Moab, 4124 be 1933 z8798 thou a couert 5643 to them from the face 6440 x4480 of the spoiler: 7703 z8802 for x3588 the extortioner 4160 z8801 is at an end, 656 z8804 the spoiler 7701 ceaseth, 3615 z8804 the oppressours 7429 z8802 are consumed 8552 z8804 out of x4480 the land. 776

 16:5 And in mercy 2617 shall the throne 3678 be established, 3559 z8717 and hee shal sit 3427 z8804 vpon x5921 it in trueth, 571 in the tabernacle 168 of Dauid, 1732 iudging 8199 z8802 and seeking 1875 z8802 iudgement, 4941 and hasting 4106 righteousnesse. 6664

 16:6 ¶ We haue heard 8085 z8804 of the pride 1347 of Moab 4124 (hee is very 3966 proud) 1341 [euen] of his hautines, 1346 and his pride, 1347 and his wrath: 5678 [but] his lies 907 shall not x3808 be so. x3651

 16:7 Therefore x3651 shall Moab 4124 howle 3213 z8686 for Moab, 4124 euery one x3605 shal howle: 3213 z8686 for the foundations 808 of Kir-hareseth 7025 shall yee mourne, 1897 z8799 surely x389 they [are] stricken. 5218

 16:8 For x3588 the fieldes 7709 of Heshbon 2809 languish, 535 z8797 [and] the vine 1612 of Sibmah, 7643 the lords 1167 of the heathen 1471 haue broken downe 1986 z8804 the principall plants 8291 thereof, they are come 5060 z8804 euen vnto x5704 Iazer, 3270 they wandred 8582 z8804 [through] the wildernesse, 4057 her branches 7976 are stretched out, 5203 z8738 they are gone ouer 5674 z8804 the sea. 3220

 16:9 ¶ Therefore x5921 x3651 I wil bewaile 1058 z8799 with the weeping 1065 of Iazer, 3270 the Uine 1612 of Sibmah 7643 I wil water 7301 z8762 thee with my teares, 1832 O Heshbon, 2809 and Elealeh: 500 for x3588 the shouting 1959 for x5921 thy Summer fruits, 7019 and for x5921 thy haruest, 7105 is fallen. 5307 z8804

 16:10 And gladnesse 8057 is taken away, 622 z8738 and ioy 1524 out of x4480 the plentifull field, 3759 and in the Uineyards 3754 there shalbe no x3808 singing, 7442 z8792 neither x3808 shal there be shouting: 7321 z8783 the treaders 1869 z8802 shall tread x1869 out y1869 z8799 no x3808 wine 3196 in their presses; 3342 I haue made their [vintage] shouting 1959 to cease. 7673 z8689

 16:11 Wherefore x921 x3651 my bowels 4578 shal sound 1993 z8799 like an harpe 3658 for Moab, 4124 and mine inward parts 7130 for Kir-haresh. 7025

 16:12 ¶ And it shal come to passe, x1961 when x3588 it is seene 7200 z8738 that x3588 Moab 4124 is weary 3811 z8738 on x5921 the high place, 1116 that hee shall come 935 z8804 to x413 his Sanctuary 4720 to pray: 6419 z8692 but hee shall not x3808 preuaile. 3201 z8799

 16:13 This x2088 [is] the word 1697 that x834 the LORD 3068 hath spoken 1696 z8765 concerning x413 Moab 4124 since that time. 227 x4480

 16:14 But now x6258 the LORD 3068 hath spoken, 1696 z8765 saying, 559 z8800 Within three 7969 yeeres, 8141 as the yeeres 8141 of an hireling, 7916 and the glory 3519 of Moab 4124 shalbe contemned, 7034 z8738 with all x3605 that great 7227 multitude; 1995 and the remnant 7605 [shall be] very y4592 small 4213 x4592 and feeble. 3808 3524
