1 The time, 3 and the calling of Jeremiah. 11 His prophetical visions of an almond rod and a seething pot. 15 His heavy message against Judah. 17 God encourageth him with his promise of assistance.

 1:2 To whom x834 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 in the dayes 3117 of Iosiah 2977 the sonne 1121 of Amon 526 king 4428 of Iudah, 3063 in the thirteenth 7969 6240 yeere 8141 of his reigne. 4427 z8800

 1:4 Then the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 1:5 Before 2962 I formed 3335 z8799 thee in the bellie, 990 I knew 3045 z8804 thee; and before x2962 thou camest forth 3318 z8799 out of the wombe, 7358 x4480 I sanctified 6942 z8689 thee, [and] I ordeined 5414 z8804 thee a Prophet 5030 vnto the nations. 1471

 1:6 Then said 559 z8799 I, Ah 162 Lord 136 GOD, 3069 behold, x2009 I cannot 3045 z8804 x3808 speake, 1696 z8763 for x3588 I x595 [am] a childe. 5288

 1:7 ¶ But the LORD 3068 sayd 559 z8799 vnto x413 me, Say 559 z8799 not, x408 I x595 [am] a childe: 5288 for x3588 thou shalt goe y3212 z8799 x1980 to x5921 all x3605 that x834 I shall send 7971 z8799 thee, and whatsoeuer x3605 x834 I command 6680 z8762 thee, thou shalt speake. 1696 z8762

 1:8 Be not x408 afraid 3372 z8799 of their faces: 6440 x4480 for x3588 I x589 [am] with x854 thee to deliuer 5337 z8687 thee, sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 1:9 Then the LORD 3068 put foorth 7971 z8799 x853 his hand, 3027 and touched 5060 z8686 x5921 my mouth, 6310 and the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 me, Behold, x2009 I haue put 5414 z8804 my words 1697 in thy mouth. 6310

 1:10 See, 7200 z8798 I haue this x2088 day 3117 set 6485 z8689 thee ouer x5921 the nations, 1471 and ouer x5921 the kingdomes, 4467 to roote out, 5428 z8800 and to pull downe, 5422 z8800 and to destroy, 6 z8687 and to throw down, 2040 z8800 to build 1129 z8800 and to plant. 5193 z8800

 1:11 ¶ Moreouer, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying; 559 z8800 Ieremiah, 3414 what x4100 seest 7200 z8802 thou? x859 And I said, 559 z8799 I x589 see 7200 z8802 a rodde 4731 of an almond tree. 8247

 1:12 Then said 559 z8799 the LORD 3068 vnto x413 me, Thou hast well 3190 z8689 seene: 7200 z8800 for x3588 I x589 will hasten 8245 z8802 x5921 my word 1697 to performe 6213 z8800 it.

 1:13 And the worde 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 mee the second time, 8145 saying; 559 z8800 What x4100 seest 7200 z8802 thou? x859 And I said; 559 z8799 I x589 see 7200 z8802 a seething 5301 z8803 pot, 5518 and the face 6440 thereof [was] towards 6440 x4480 the North. 6828

 1:14 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 me; Out of the North 6828 x4480 an euill 7451 shal breake foorth 6605 z8735 vpon x5921 all x3605 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the land. 776

 1:15 For x3588 loe, x2009 I will call 7121 z8802 all x3605 the families 4940 of the kingdoms 4467 of the North, 6828 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and they shall come, 935 z8804 and they shall set 5414 z8804 euery one 376 his throne 3678 at the entring 6607 of the gates 8179 of Ierusalem, 3389 and against x5921 all x3605 the walles 2346 thereof round about, 5439 & against x5921 all x3605 the cities 5892 of Iudah. 3063

 1:16 And I will vtter 1696 z8765 my iudgements 4941 against them touching 5921 all x3605 their wickednesse, 7451 who x834 haue forsaken 5800 z8804 me, and haue burnt incense 6999 z8762 vnto other 312 gods, 430 and worshipped 7812 z8691 the workes 4639 of their owne hands. 3027

 1:17 ¶ Thou x859 therefore gird vp 247 z8799 thy loynes, 4975 and arise 6965 z8804 and speake 1696 z8765 vnto x413 them x853 all x3605 that x834 I x595 commaund 6680 z8762 thee: be not x408 dismayed 2865 z8735 at their faces, 6440 x4480 lest x6435 I confound 2865 z8686 thee before 6440 them.

 1:18 For x589 behold, x2009 I y589 haue made 5414 z8804 thee this day 3117 a defenced 4013 citie, 5892 and an yron 1270 pillar, 5982 and brasen 5178 walles 2346 against x5921 the whole x3605 land, 776 against the kings 4428 of Iudah, 3063 against the princes 8269 thereof, against the Priests 3548 thereof, and against the people 5971 of the land. 776

 1:19 And they shall fight 3898 z8738 against x413 thee, but they shall not x3808 preuaile 3201 z8799 against thee: for x3588 I x589 [am] with x854 thee, sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 to deliuer 5337 z8687 thee.
