Ieremiah 22

1 He exhorteth to repentance, with promises and threats. 10 The judgment of Shallum, 13 of Jehoiakim, 20 and of Coniah.

 22:1 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Goe downe 3381 z8798 to the house 1004 of the king 4428 of Iudah, 3063 and speake 1696 z8765 there x8033 x853 this x2088 word, 1697

 22:2 And say, 559 z8804 Heare 8085 z8798 the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 O king 4428 of Iudah, 3063 that sittest 3427 z8802 vpon x5921 the throne 3678 of Dauid, 1732 thou, x859 and thy seruants, 5650 and thy people 5971 that enter 935 z8802 in by these x428 gates. 8179

 22:3 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Execute 6213 z8798 ye iudgement 4941 and righteousnesse, 6666 and deliuer 5337 z8685 the spoiler 1497 z8803 out of the hand 3027 x4480 of the oppressour: 6216 and doe no x408 wrong, 3238 z8686 doe no x408 violence 2554 z8799 to the stranger, 1616 the fatherlesse, 3490 nor the widow, 490 neither x408 shed 8210 z8799 innocent 5355 blood 1818 in this x2088 place. 4725

 22:4 For x3588 if x518 ye doe 6213 z8799 x853 this x2088 thing 1697 indeede, 6213 z8800 then shall there enter in 935 z8804 by the gates 8179 of this x2088 house, 1004 Kings 4428 sitting 3427 z8802 vpon x5921 the throne 3678 of Dauid, 1732 riding 7392 z8802 in charets 7393 and on horses, 5483 he, x1931 and his seruants, 5650 and his people. 5971

 22:5 But if x518 yee will not x3808 heare 8085 z8799 x853 these x428 words, 1697 I sweare 7650 z8738 by my selfe, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that x3588 this x2088 house 1004 shall become x1961 a desolation. 2723

 22:6 For x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 vnto x5921 the kings 4428 house 1004 of Iudah, 3063 Thou x859 [art] Gilead 1568 vnto me, [and] the head 7218 of Lebanon: 3844 [yet] surely x518 x3808 I will make 7896 z8799 thee a wildernesse, 4057 [and] cities 5892 [which] are not x3808 inhabited. 3427 z8738 z8675 z8737

 22:7 And I will prepare 6942 z8765 destroyers 7843 z8688 against x5921 thee, euery one 376 with his weapons, 3627 and they shall cut downe 3772 z8804 thy choise 4005 cedars, 730 and cast 5307 z8689 [them] into x5921 the fire. 784

 22:8 And many 7227 nations 1471 shall passe 5674 z8804 by x5921 this x2063 citie, 5892 and they shall say 559 z8804 euery man 376 to x413 his neighbour, 7453 Wherefore x5921 x4100 hath the LORD 3068 done 6213 z8804 thus x3602 vnto this x2063 great 1419 citie? 5892

 22:9 Then they shall answere, 559 z8804 Because x5921 x834 they haue forsaken 5800 z8804 x853 the couenant 1285 of the LORD 3068 their God, 430 and worshipped 7812 z8691 other 312 gods, 430 and serued 5647 z8799 them.

 22:10 ¶ Weepe 1058 z8799 ye not x408 for the dead, 4191 z8801 neither x408 bemoane 5110 z8799 him, [but] weepe y1058 z8798 sore 1058 z8800 for him that goeth away: 1980 z8802 for x3588 he shall returne 7725 z8799 no x3808 more, x5750 nor see 7200 z8804 x853 his natiue 4138 countrey. 776

 22:11 For x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 touching 413 Shallum, 7967 the sonne 1121 of Iosiah 2977 king 4428 of Iudah 3063 which reigned 4427 z8802 in stead x8478 of Iosiah 2977 his father, 1 which x834 went forth 3318 z8804 out of x4480 this x2088 place, 4725 He shall not x3808 returne 7725 z8799 thither x8033 any more. x5750

 22:12 But x3588 he shall die 4191 z8799 in the place 4725 whither x834 x8033 they haue led him captiue, 1540 z8689 x853 and shal see 7200 z8799 this x2063 land 776 no x3808 more. x5750

 22:13 ¶ Woe 1945 vnto him that buildeth 1129 z8802 his house 1004 by y3808 vnrighteousnesse, 6664 x3808 and his chambers 5944 by wrong: 4941 x3808 that vseth his neighbours 7453 seruice 5647 z8799 without wages, 2600 and giueth 5414 z8799 him not x3808 for his worke: 6467

 22:14 That saith, 559 z8802 I will build 1129 z8799 mee a wide 4060 house 1004 and large 7304 z8794 chambers, 5944 and cutteth him out 7167 z8804 windowes, 2474 and it is sieled 5603 z8803 with cedar, 730 and painted 4886 z8800 with vermilion. 8350

 22:15 Shalt thou reigne 4427 z8799 because x3588 thou x859 closest 8474 z8808 thy selfe in cedar? 730 did not x3808 thy father 1 eate 398 z8804 and drinke, 8354 z8804 and doe 6213 z8804 iudgment 4941 and iustice, 6666 [and] then x227 [it was] wel 2896 with him?

 22:16 He iudged 1777 z8804 the cause 1779 of the poore 6041 and needy, 34 then x227 [it was] well 2896 [with him: was] not x3808 this x1931 to know 1847 me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD? 3068

 22:17 But x3588 thine eyes 5869 and thine heart 3820 [are] not x369 but for x3588 x518 x5921 thy couetousnesse, 1215 and for x5921 to shed 8210 z8800 innocent 5355 blood, 1818 and for x5921 oppression, 6233 and for x5921 violence 4835 to doe 6213 z8800 [it].

 22:18 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 concerning x413 Iehoiakim 3079 the sonne 1121 of Iosiah 2977 king 4428 of Iudah, 3063 They shall not x3808 lament 5594 z8799 for him, [saying], Ah 1945 my brother, 251 or ah 1945 sister: 269 they shall not x3808 lament 5594 z8799 for him, [saying], Ah 1945 Lord, 113 or ah 1945 his glory. 1935

 22:19 He shall be buried 6912 z8735 with the buriall 6900 of an asse, 2543 drawen 5498 z8800 and cast forth 7993 z8687 beyond 1973 x4480 the gates 8179 of Ierusalem. 3389

 22:20 ¶ Goe vp 5927 z8798 to Lebanon, 3844 and crie, 6817 z8798 and lift vp 5414 z8798 thy voice 6963 in Bashan, 1316 and crie 6817 z8798 from the passages: 5676 x4480 for x3588 all x3605 thy louers 157 z8764 are destroyed. 7665 z8738

 22:21 I spake 1696 z8765 vnto x413 thee in thy prosperitie, 7962 [but] thou saidest, 559 z8804 I will not x3808 heare: 8085 z8799 this x2088 [hath bin] thy maner 1870 from thy youth, 5271 x4480 that x3588 thou obeyedst 8085 z8804 not x3808 my voice. 6963

 22:22 The winde 7307 shall eate vp 7462 z8799 all x3605 thy pastors, 7462 z8802 and thy louers 157 z8764 shall goe y3212 z8799 x1980 into captiuitie, 7628 surely x3588 then x227 shalt thou be ashamed 954 z8799 and confounded 3637 z8738 for all x4480 x3605 thy wickednesse. 7451

 22:23 O inhabitant 3427 z8802 of Lebanon, 3844 that makest thy nest 7077 z8794 in the Cedars, 730 how x4100 gracious 2603 z8738 shalt thou bee when pangs 2256 come 935 z8800 vpon thee, the paine 2427 as of a woman in trauell? 3205 z8802

 22:24 As I x589 liue, 2416 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 though x3588 x518 Coniah 3659 the sonne 1121 of Iehoiakim 3079 king 4428 of Iudah 3063 [were] x1961 the signet 2368 vpon x5921 my right 3225 hand, 3027 yet x3588 would I plucke 5423 z8799 thee thence. x4480 x8033

 22:25 And I will giue 5414 z8804 thee into the hand 3027 of them that seeke 1245 z8764 thy life, 5315 and into the hand 3027 [of them] whose x834 face 6440 x4480 thou x859 fearest, 3016 z8801 euen into the hand 3027 of Nebuchad-rezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon, 894 and into the hand 3027 of the Caldeans. 3778

 22:26 And I will cast thee out, 2904 z8689 x853 and thy mother 517 that x834 bare 3205 z8804 thee, into x5921 another 312 countrey 776 where x834 x8033 ye were not x3808 borne, 3205 z8795 and there x8033 shall ye die. 4191 z8799

 22:27 But to x5921 the land 776 whereunto x834 x8033 they x1992 desire 5375 5315 z8764 z8676 x853 to returne, 7725 z8800 thither x8033 shall they not x3808 returne. 7725 z8799

 22:29 O earth, 776 earth, 776 earth, 776 heare 8085 z8798 the word 1697 of the LORD: 3068

 22:30 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Write 3789 z8798 ye x853 this x2088 man 376 childlesse, 6185 a man 1397 [that] shall not x3808 prosper 6743 z8799 in his dayes: 3117 for x3588 no x3808 man 376 of his seed 2233 x4480 shall prosper, 6743 z8799 sitting 3427 z8802 vpon x5921 the throne 3678 of Dauid, 1732 and ruling 4910 z8802 any more x5750 in Iudah. 3063
