Ieremiah 23

1 He prophesieth a restoration of the scattered flock. 5 Christ shall rule and save them. 9 Against false prophets, 33 and mockers of the true prophets.

 23:1 ¶ Woe 1945 bee vnto the pastors 7462 z8802 that destroy 6 z8764 and scatter 6327 z8688 x853 the sheepe 6629 of my pasture, 4830 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 23:2 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 against x5921 the pastors 7462 z8802 that feed 7462 z8802 x853 my people; 5971 Yee x859 haue scattered 6327 z8689 x853 my flocke 6629 and driuen them away, 5080 z8686 and haue not x3808 visited 6485 z8804 them; behold x2009 I will visite 6485 z8802 vpon x5921 you x853 the euill 7455 of your doings, 4611 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 23:3 And I x589 wil gather 6908 z8762 x853 the remnant 7611 of my flocke, 6629 out of all x4480 x3605 countreis 776 whither x834 x8033 I haue driuen 5080 z8689 them, and will bring them againe 7725 z8689 x853 to x5921 their foldes, 5116 and they shalbe fruitfull 6509 z8804 and increase. 7235 z8804

 23:4 And I will set vp 6965 z8689 shepheards 7462 z8802 ouer x5921 them which shall feed 7462 z8804 them, and they shal feare 3372 z8799 no x3808 more x5750 nor x3808 be dismaied, 2865 z8735 neither x3808 shall they bee lacking, 6485 z8735 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 23:5 ¶ Behold, x2009 the daies 3117 come, 935 z8802 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that I wil raise 6965 z8689 vnto Dauid 1732 a righteous 6662 branch, 6780 and a King 4428 shall reigne 4427 z8804 and prosper, 7919 z8689 and shall execute 6213 z8804 iudgement 4941 and iustice 6666 in the earth. 776

 23:6 In his dayes 3117 Iudah 3063 shalbe saued, 3467 z8735 and Israel 3478 shall dwell 7931 z8799 safely, 983 and this x2088 [is] his Name 8034 whereby x834 hee shall be called, 7121 z8799 The LORD x3068 OUR RIGHTEOUSNES. y3072 x6664

 23:7 Therefore x3651 behold, x2009 the dayes 3117 come, 935 z8802 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that they shall no x3808 more x5750 say; 559 z8799 The LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 which x834 brought vp 5927 z8689 x853 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt: 4714

 23:8 But, x3588 x518 The LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 which x834 brought vp, 5927 z8689 and which x834 led 935 z8689 x853 the seed 2233 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478 out of the North 6828 countrey, 776 x4480 and from all x4480 x3605 countreis 776 whither x834 x8033 I had driuen 5080 z8689 them, and they shall dwell 3427 z8804 in x5921 their owne land. 127

 23:9 ¶ Mine heart 3820 within 7130 me is broken 7665 z8738 because of the prophets, 5030 all x3605 my bones 6106 shake: 7363 z8804 I am x1961 like a drunken 7910 man 376 (and like a man 1397 whom wine 3196 hath ouercome) 5674 z8804 because 6440 x4480 of the LORD, 3068 and because x4480 x6440 of the words 1697 of his Holinesse. 6944

 23:10 For x3588 the land 776 is full 4390 z8804 of adulterers, 5003 z8764 for x3588 because 6440 x4480 of swearing 423 the land 776 mourneth: 56 z8804 the pleasant places 4999 of the wildernes 4057 are dried vp, 3001 z8804 and their course 4794 is x1961 euil, 7451 and their force 1369 [is] not x3808 right. x3651

 23:11 For x3588 both x1571 prophet 5030 and x1571 priest 3548 are prophane, 2610 z8804 yea x1571 in my house 1004 haue I found 4672 z8804 their wickednesse, 7451 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 23:12 Wherefore x3651 their way 1870 shalbe x1961 vnto them as slippery 2519 [wayes] in the darkenes: 653 they shalbe driuen on 1760 z8735 and fall 5307 z8804 therein: for x3588 I will bring 935 z8686 euill 7451 vpon x5921 them, [euen] the yeere 8141 of their visitation, 6486 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 23:13 And I haue seene 7200 z8804 folly 8604 in the prophets 5030 of Samaria; 8111 they prophecied 5012 z8694 in Baal, 1168 and caused x853 my people 5971 x853 Israel 3478 to erre. 8582 z8686

 23:14 I haue seene 7200 z8804 also in the prophets 5030 of Ierusalem 3389 an horrible thing: 8186 they commit adultery, 5003 z8800 and walke 1980 z8800 in lies: 8267 they strengthen 2388 z8765 also the hands 3027 of euill doers, 7489 z8688 that none 376 x1115 doeth returne 7725 z8804 from his wickednesse: 7451 x4480 they are x1961 all x3605 of them vnto me as Sodom, 5467 and the inhabitants 3427 z8802 thereof as Gomorrah. 6017

 23:15 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 concerning x5921 the Prophets; 5030 Behold, x2009 I will feede 398 z8688 them with wormewood, 3939 and make them drinke 8248 z8689 the water 4325 of gall: 7219 for x3588 from x4480 x854 the Prophets 5030 of Ierusalem 3389 is profanenesse 2613 gone forth 3318 z8804 into all x3605 the land. 776

 23:16 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 Hearken 8085 z8799 not x408 vnto x5921 the wordes 1697 of the prophets 5030 that prophecie 5012 z8737 vnto you; they make you vaine: 1891 z8688 x853 they x1992 speake 1696 z8762 a vision 2377 of their owne heart, 3820 [and] not x3808 out of the mouth 6310 x4480 of the LORD. 3068

 23:17 They say y559 z8802 still 559 z8800 vnto them that despise 5006 z8764 me; The LORD 3068 hath sayde, 1696 z8765 Yee shall haue x1961 peace; 7965 and they say 559 z8804 vnto euery one x3605 that walketh 1980 z8802 after the imagination 8307 of his owne heart, 3820 No x3808 euill 7451 shall come 935 z8799 vpon x5921 you.

 23:18 For x3588 who x4310 hath stood 5975 z8804 in the counsell 5475 of the LORD, 3068 and hath perceiued, 7200 z8799 and heard 8085 z8799 x853 his word? 1697 who x4310 hath marked 7181 z8689 his word, 1697 and heard 8085 z8799 [it]?

 23:19 Behold, x2009 a whirlewinde 5591 of the LORD 3068 is gone foorth 3318 z8804 in furie, 2534 euen a grieuous 2342 z8711 whirlewinde, 5591 it shall fall grieuously 2342 z8799 vpon x5921 the head 7218 of the wicked. 7563

 23:20 The anger 639 of the LORD 3068 shall not x3808 returne, 7725 z8799 vntill x5704 hee haue executed, 6213 z8800 and til x5704 he haue performed 6965 z8687 the thoughts 4209 of his heart: 3820 in the latter 319 dayes 3117 ye shall consider 995 z8709 it perfectly. 998

 23:21 I haue not x3808 sent 7971 z8804 x853 these prophets, 5030 yet they x1992 ranne: 7323 z8804 I haue not x3808 spoken 1696 z8765 to x413 them, yet they x1992 prophecied. 5012 z8738

 23:22 But if x518 they had stood 5975 z8804 in my counsell, 5475 and had caused x853 my people 5971 to heare 8085 z8686 my wordes, 1697 then they should haue turned 7725 z8686 them from their euil 7451 way, 1870 x4480 and from the euill 7455 x4480 of their doings. 4611

 23:23 [Am] I x589 a God 430 at hand, 7138 x4480 sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and not x3808 a God 430 afarre off? 7350 x4480

 23:24 Can x518 any 376 hide y5641 z8735 himselfe x5641 in secret places 4565 that I x589 shall not x3808 see 7200 z8799 him, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD? 3068 doe not x3808 I x589 fill y4392 x4390 x853 heauen 8064 and earth, 776 sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD? 3068

 23:25 I haue heard 8085 z8804 x853 what x834 the prophets 5030 said, 559 z8804 that prophecie 5012 z8737 lyes 8267 in my Name, 8034 saying; 559 z8800 I haue dreamed, 2492 z8804 I haue dreamed. 2492 z8804

 23:26 How long x5704 x4970 shall this bee 3426 in the heart 3820 of the prophets 5030 that prophecie 5012 z8737 lies? 8267 yea [they are] prophets 5030 of the deceit 8649 of their owne heart; 3820

 23:27 Which thinke 2803 z8802 to cause x853 my people 5971 to forget 7911 z8687 my Name 8034 by their dreames 2472 which x834 they tell 5608 z8762 euery man 376 to his neighbour, 7453 as x834 their fathers 1 haue forgotten 7911 z8804 x853 my Name, 8034 for Baal. 1168

 23:28 The prophet 5030 that x834 x854 [hath] a dreame, 2472 let him tell 5608 z8762 a dreame; 2472 and hee that x834 x854 [hath] my word, 1697 let him speake 1696 z8762 my word 1697 faithfully: 571 what x4100 [is] the chaffe 8401 to x854 the wheat, 1250 sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD? 3068

 23:29 [Is] not x3808 my word 1697 like 3541 as a fire, 784 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD? 3068 and like a hammer 6360 [that] breaketh 6327 z0 the rocke 5553 in pieces? y6327 z8787

 23:30 Therefore, x3651 behold, x2009 I [am] against x5921 the prophets, 5030 sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that steale 1589 z8764 my worde 1697 euery one 376 from x4480 x854 his neighbour. 7453

 23:31 Beholde, x2009 I [am] against x5921 the prophets, 5030 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that vse 3947 z8802 their tongues, 3956 and say; 5001 z8799 He sayth. 5002 z8803

 23:32 Behold, x2009 I [am] against x5921 them that prophecie 5012 z8737 false 8267 dreames, 2472 sayeth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and doe tell 5608 z8762 them, and cause x853 my people 5971 to erre 8582 z8686 by their lyes 8267 and by their lightnesse, 6350 yet I x595 sent 7971 z8804 them not, x3808 nor x3808 commanded 6680 z8765 them: therefore they shall not x3808 profite y3276 z8686 this people y5971 at all, 3276 z8687 x5971 x2088 sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 23:33 ¶ And when x3588 this x2088 people, 5971 or x176 the prophet, 5030 or x176 a priest 3548 shall aske 7592 z8799 thee, saying; 559 z8800 What x4100 [is] the burden 4853 of the LORD? 3068 thou shalt then say 559 z8804 vnto x413 them; x853 What x4100 burden? 4853 I will euen forsake 5203 z8804 you, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 23:34 And as for the prophet, 5030 and the priest, 3548 and the people 5971 that x834 shal say, 559 z8799 The burden 4853 of the LORD, 3068 I will euen punish 6485 z8804 x5921 that x1931 man 376 and his house. 1004

 23:35 Thus x3541 shall yee say 559 z8799 euery one 376 to x5921 his neighbour, 7453 and euery one 376 to x413 his brother, 251 What x4100 hath the LORD 3068 answered? 6030 z8804 and what x4100 hath the LORD 3068 spoken? 1696 z8765

 23:36 And the burden 4853 of the LORD 3068 shall yee mention 2142 z8799 no x3808 more: x5750 for x3588 euery mans 376 word 1697 shall be x1961 his burden: 4853 for yee haue peruerted 2015 z8804 x853 the words 1697 of the liuing 2416 God, 430 of the LORD 3068 of hostes 6635 our God. 430

 23:37 Thus x3541 shalt thou say 559 z8799 to x413 the prophet, 5030 What x4100 hath the LORD 3068 answered 6030 z8804 thee? and what x4100 hath the LORD 3068 spoken? 1696 z8765

 23:38 But y518 sith x518 ye say, 559 z8799 The burden 4853 of the LORD; 3068 therefore x3651 thus x3541 sayeth 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Because x3282 you say 559 z8800 x853 this x2088 word, 1697 The burden 4853 of the LORD, 3068 and I haue sent 7971 z8799 vnto x413 you, saying; 559 z8800 Ye shall not x3808 say, 559 z8799 The burden 4853 of the LORD: 3068

 23:39 Therefore x3651 beholde, x2009 I, euen I will vtterly y5377 z8800 forget 5382 z8804 you, and I will forsake 5203 z8804 you, and the citie 5892 that x834 I gaue 5414 z8804 you and your fathers, 1 [and cast you] out of x4480 x5921 my presence. 6440

 23:40 And I will bring 5414 z8804 an euerlasting 5769 reproch 2781 vpon x5921 you, and a perpetuall 5769 shame, 3640 which x834 shall not x3808 be forgotten. 7911 z8735
