1 God, having shewed his former kindness, expostulateth with the Jews their causeless revolt, 9 beyond any example. 14 They are the causes of their own calamities. 20 The sins of Judah. 31 Her confidence is rejected.

 2:2 Goe, 1980 z8800 and crie 7121 z8804 in the eares 241 of Ierusalem, 3389 saying; 559 z8800 Thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 I remember 2142 z8804 thee, the kindnesse 2617 of thy youth, 5271 the loue 160 of thine espousals, 3623 when thou wentest y3212 z8800 x1980 after 310 me in the wildernesse, 4057 in a land 776 that was not x3808 sowen. 2232 z8803

 2:3 Israel 3478 [was] holinesse 6944 vnto the LORD, 3068 [and] the first fruites 7225 of his increase: 8393 all x3605 that deuoure 398 z8802 him, shall offend, 816 z8799 euill 7451 shall come 935 z8799 vpon x413 them, sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 2:4 Heare 8085 z8798 ye the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 O house 1004 of Iacob, 3290 and all x3605 the families 4940 of the house 1004 of Israel. 3478

 2:5 ¶ Thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 What x4100 iniquitie 5766 haue your fathers 1 found 4672 z8804 in me, that x3588 they are gone farre 7368 z8804 from x4480 x5921 mee, and haue walked y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 vanitie, 1892 and are become vaine? 1891 z8799

 2:6 Neither x3808 sayd 559 z8804 they, Where x346 [is] the LORD 3068 that brought vs vp 5927 z8688 x853 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt? 4714 that led y3212 z8688 x1980 vs through the wildernesse, 4057 through a land 776 of deserts 6160 and of pittes, 7745 through a land 776 of drought, 6723 and of the shadow of death, 6757 through a land 776 that no x3808 man 376 passed thorow, 5674 z8804 and where x8033 no x3808 man 120 dwelt. 3427 z8804

 2:7 And I brought 935 z8686 you into x413 a plentifull 3759 countrey, 776 to eate 398 z8800 the fruit 6529 thereof, and the goodnesse 2898 thereof; but when ye entred 935 z8799 yee defiled 2930 z8762 x853 my land, 776 and made 7760 z8804 mine heritage 5159 an abomination. 8441

 2:8 The Priests 3548 said 559 z8804 not, x3808 Where x346 [is] the LORD? 3068 and they that handle 8610 z8802 the Law 8451 knew 3045 z8804 me not: x3808 the pastours 7462 z8802 also transgressed 6586 z8804 against mee, and the Prophets 5030 prophecied 5012 z8738 by Baal, 1168 and walked 1980 z8804 after 310 [things that] doe not x3808 profit. 3276 z8686

 2:9 ¶ Wherefore, x3651 I will yet x5750 pleade 7378 z8799 with x854 you, sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and with x854 your childrens 1121 children 1121 will I pleade. 7378 z8799

 2:10 For x3588 passe ouer 5674 z8798 the yles 339 of Chittim, 3794 and see; 7200 z8798 and send 7971 z8798 vnto Kedar 6938 and consider 995 z8708 diligently, 3966 and see 7200 z8798 if there be x1961 such x2063 a thing.

 2:11 Hath a nation 1471 changed y3235 z8689 x4171 their Gods, 430 which x1992 [are] yet no x3808 Gods? 430 but my people 5971 haue changed 4171 z8689 their glory, 3519 for [that which] doth not x3808 profit. 3276 z8686

 2:12 Be astonished, 8074 z8798 O yee heauens, 8064 at x5921 this, x2063 and be horribly afraid, 8175 z8798 be yee very 3966 desolate, 2717 z8798 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 2:13 For x3588 my people 5971 haue committed 6213 z8804 two 8147 euils: 7451 they haue forsaken 5800 z8804 me, the fountaine 4726 of liuing 2416 waters, 4325 [and] hewed them out 2672 z8800 cisternes, 877 broken 7665 z8737 cisternes 877 that x834 can hold 3557 z8686 no x3808 water. 4325

 2:14 ¶ Is Israel 3478 a seruant? 5650 is he x1931 a home-borne 1004 3211 [slaue]? why 4069 is x1961 he spoiled? 957

 2:15 The young lyons 3715 roared 7580 z8799 vpon x5921 him [and] yelled, 5414 6963 z8804 and they made 7896 z8799 his land 776 waste: 8047 his cities 5892 are burnt 3341 z8738 without x4480 x1097 inhabitant. 3427 z8802

 2:16 Also x1571 the children 1121 of Noph 5297 and Tahapanes 8471 haue broken 7462 z8799 the crowne of thy head. 6936

 2:17 Hast thou not x3808 procured 6213 z8799 this x2063 vnto thy selfe, in that thou hast forsaken 5800 z8800 x853 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 when 6256 he led y3212 z8688 x1980 thee by the way? 1870

 2:18 And now x6258 what x4100 hast thou to doe in the way 1870 of Egypt, 4714 to drinke 8354 z8800 the waters 4325 of Sihor? 7883 Or what x4100 hast thou to doe in the way 1870 of Assyria, 804 to drinke 8354 z8800 the waters 4325 of the riuer? 5104

 2:19 Thine owne wickednesse 7451 shall correct 3256 z8762 thee, and thy backslidings 4878 shall reproue 3198 z8686 thee: know 3045 z8798 therefore and see, 7200 z8798 that x3588 it [is] an euill 7451 thing and bitter 4751 that thou hast forsaken 5800 z8800 x853 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 and that my feare 6345 is not x3808 in x413 thee, saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD 3069 of Hostes. 6635

 2:23 How x349 canst thou say, 559 z8799 I am not x3808 polluted, 2930 z8738 I haue not x3808 gone 1980 z8804 after 310 Baalim? 1168 see 7200 z8798 thy way 1870 in the valley, 1516 know 3045 z8798 what x4100 thou hast done: 6213 z8804 [thou art] a swift 7031 dromedarie 1072 trauersing 8308 z8764 her wayes. 1870

 2:24 A wild asse 6501 vsed 3928 to the wildernesse, 4057 [that] snuffeth vp 7602 z8804 the wind 7307 at her pleasure, 185 5315 in her occasion 8385 who x4310 can turne her away? 7725 z8686 all x3605 they that seeke 1245 z8764 her will not x3808 wearie 3286 z8799 themselues, in her moneth 2320 they shall find 4672 z8799 her.

 2:25 Withhold 4513 z8798 thy foote 7272 from being vnshod, 3182 x4480 and thy throte 1627 from thirst: 6773 x4480 but thou saidst, 559 z8799 There is no hope. 2976 z8737 No, x3808 for x3588 I haue loued 157 z8804 strangers, 2114 z8801 and after 310 them will I goe. y3212 z8799 x1980

 2:26 As the thiefe 1590 is ashamed, 1322 when x3588 he is found: 4672 z8735 so x3651 is the house 1004 of Israel 3478 ashamed, y3001 z8689 x954 they, x1992 their kings, 4428 their princes, 8269 and their priests, 3548 & their prophets, 5030

 2:27 Saying 559 z8802 to a stocke; 6086 Thou x859 [art] my father, 1 and to a stone; 68 Thou x859 hast brought me forth: 3205 z8804 for x3588 they haue turned 6437 z8804 their backe 6203 vnto x413 me, and not x3808 their face: 6440 but in the time 6256 of their trouble, 7451 they will say; 559 z8799 Arise 6965 z8798 and saue 3467 z8685 vs.

 2:28 But where x346 [are] thy Gods 430 that x834 thou hast made 6213 z8804 thee? let them arise 6965 z8799 if x518 they can saue 3467 z8686 thee in the time 6256 of thy trouble: 7451 for x3588 [according] to the number 4557 of thy cities, 5892 are x1961 thy Gods, 430 O Iudah. 3063

 2:29 Wherefore x4100 will yee plead 7378 z8799 with x413 me? yee all x3605 haue transgressed 6586 z8804 against me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 2:30 In vaine 7723 haue I smitten 5221 z8689 x853 your children, 1121 they receiued 3947 z8804 no x3808 correction: 4148 your owne sword 2719 hath deuoured 398 z8804 your prophets, 5030 like a destroying 7843 z8688 lyon. 738

 2:31 ¶ O generation, 1755 see 7200 z8798 yee x859 the word 1697 of the LORD: 3068 haue I beene x1961 a wildernesse 4057 vnto Israel? 3478 a land 776 of darkenesse? 3991 wherefore x4069 say 559 z8804 my people; 5971 We are Lords, 7300 z8804 we will come 935 z8799 no x3808 more x5750 vnto x413 thee?

 2:32 Can a maide 1330 forget 7911 z8799 her ornaments, 5716 or a bride 3618 her attire? 7196 yet my people 5971 haue forgotten 7911 z8804 me dayes 3117 without x369 number. 4557

 2:33 Why x4100 trimmest 3190 z8686 thou thy way 1870 to seeke 1245 z8763 loue? 160 therefore x3651 hast thou also x1571 taught 3925 z8765 x853 the wicked ones 7451 x853 thy wayes. 1870
