Ieremiah 5

1 The judgments of God upon the Jews, for their perverseness, 7 for their adultery, 10 for their impiety, 19 for their contempt of God, 25 and for their great corruption in the civil state, 30 and ecclesiastical.

 5:1 ¶ Runne yee to and fro 7751 z8786 thorow the streetes 2351 of Ierusalem, 3389 and see 7200 z8798 now x4994 and knowe, 3045 z8798 and seeke 1245 z8761 in the broad places 7339 thereof, if x518 ye can finde 4672 z8799 a man, 376 if x518 there be 3426 any that executeth 6213 z8802 iudgement, 4941 that seeketh 1245 z8764 the trueth, 530 and I will pardon 5545 z8799 it.

 5:2 And though x518 they say, 559 z8799 The LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 surely x3651 they sweare 7650 z8735 falsely. 8267

 5:3 O LORD, 3068 [are] not x3808 thine eyes 5869 vpon the trueth? 530 Thou hast stricken 5221 z8689 them, [but] they haue not x3808 grieued; 2342 z8804 thou hast consumed 3615 z8765 them, but they haue refused 3985 z8765 to receiue 3947 z8800 correction: 4148 they haue made their faces 6440 harder 2388 z8765 then a rocke, 5553 x4480 they haue refused 3985 z8765 to returne. 7725 z8800

 5:4 Therefore I x589 said, 559 z8804 Surely x389 these x1992 [are] poore, 1800 they are foolish: 2973 z8738 for x3588 they know 3045 z8804 not x3808 the way 1870 of the LORD, 3068 [nor] the iudgement 4941 of their God. 430

 5:5 I wil get y3212 z8799 x1980 me vnto x413 the great men, 1419 and will speake y1696 z8762 vnto x1696 them, for x3588 they x1992 haue knowen 3045 z8804 the way 1870 of the LORD, 3068 [and] the iudgement 4941 of their God: 430 but x389 these x1992 haue altogether 3162 broken 7665 z8804 the yoke, 5923 [and] burst 5423 z8765 the bondes. 4147

 5:6 Wherfore x5921 x3651 a lyon 738 out of the forrest 3293 x4480 shall slay 5221 z8689 them, [and] a wolfe 2061 of the euenings 6160 shall spoile 7703 z8799 them, a leopard 5246 shall watch 8245 z8802 ouer x5921 their cities: 5892 euery one x3605 that goeth out 3318 z8802 thence x4480 x2007 shalbe y2007 torne in pieces, 2963 z8735 because x3588 their transgressions 6588 are many, 7231 z8804 [and] their backeslidings 4878 are increased. 6105 z8804

 5:7 ¶ How 335 shall I pardon 5545 z8799 thee for this? 2063 Thy children 1121 haue forsaken 5800 z8804 mee, and sworne 7650 z8735 by them [that are] no 3808 gods: 430 when I had fed them to the full, y7650 z8686 x7646 x853 they then committed adulterie, 5003 z8799 and assembled themselues x1413 by troupes y1413 z8704 in the harlots 2181 z8802 houses. 1004

 5:8 They were x1961 as fed 2109 z8716 horses 5483 in the morning: 7904 z8688 euery one 376 neighed 6670 z8799 after x413 his neighbours 7453 wife: 802

 5:9 Shall I not x3808 visit 6485 z8799 for x5921 these x428 things, sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and x518 shall not x3808 my soule 5315 bee auenged 5358 z8691 on such x834 a nation 1471 as this? x2088

 5:10 ¶ Goe yee vp 5927 z8798 vpon her walles, 8284 and destroy, 7843 z8761 but make 6213 z8799 not x408 a full ende: 3617 take away 5493 z8685 her battlements, 5189 for x3588 they x1992 [are] not x3808 the LORDS. 3068

 5:11 For x3588 the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 and the house 1004 of Iudah 3063 haue dealt very y898 z8800 treacherously 898 z8804 against me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 5:12 They haue belyed 3584 z8765 the LORD, 3068 and said; 559 z8799 [It is] not x3808 he, x1931 neither x3808 shall euill 7451 come 935 z8799 vpon x5921 vs, neither x3808 shal we see 7200 z8799 sword 2719 nor famine. 7458

 5:13 And the prophets 5030 shall become x1961 wind, 7307 and the word y1696 z8763 x1699 [is] not x369 in them: thus x3541 shall it be done 6213 z8735 vnto them.

 5:14 Wherfore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Hostes; 6635 Because x3282 yee speake 1696 z8763 x853 this x2088 word, 1697 behold, x2009 I will make 5414 z8802 my words 1697 in thy mouth, 6310 fire, 784 and this x2088 people 5971 wood, 6086 and it shall deuoure 398 z8804 them.

 5:15 Loe, x2009 I will bring 935 z8688 a nation 1471 vpon x5921 you from farre, 4801 x4480 O house 1004 of Israel, 3478 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD: 3068 it x1931 [is] a mighty 386 nation, 1471 it x1931 [is] an ancient 5769 x4480 nation, 1471 a nation 1471 whose language 3956 thou knowest 3045 z8799 not, x3808 neither x3808 vnderstandest 8085 z8799 what x4100 they say. 1696 z8762

 5:16 Their quiuer 827 [is] as an open 6605 z8803 sepulchre, 6913 they [are] all x3605 mighty men. 1368

 5:17 And they shall eate vp 398 z8804 thine haruest 7105 and thy bread, 3899 [which] thy sonnes 1121 and thy daughters 1323 should eate: 398 z8799 they shall eate vp 398 z8799 thy flockes 6629 and thine heards: 1241 they shall eate vp 398 z8799 thy vines 1612 and thy figtrees: 8384 they shall impouerish 7567 z8779 thy fenced 4013 cities 5892 wherein x834 thou y2007 x859 trustedst, 982 z8802 with the sword. 2719

 5:18 Neuerthelesse x1571 in those x1992 daies, 3117 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 I will not x3808 make 6213 z8799 a full end 3617 with x854 you.

 5:19 ¶ And it shall come to passe x1961 when x3588 yee shall say; 559 z8799 Wherefore 8478 4100 doth 6213 z8804 the LORD 3068 our God 430 x853 all x3605 these x428 things vnto vs? then shalt thou answere 559 z8804 x413 them; Like x834 as ye haue forsaken 5800 z8804 me, & serued 5647 z8799 strange 5236 Gods 430 in your land; 776 so x3651 shall yee serue 5647 z8799 strangers 2114 z8801 in a land 776 [that is] not x3808 yours.

 5:20 Declare 5046 z8685 this x2063 in the house 1004 of Iacob, 3290 and publish 8085 z8685 it in Iudah 3063 saying; 559 z8800

 5:21 Heare 8085 z8798 now x4994 this, x2063 O foolish 5530 people, 5971 and without x369 vnderstanding, 3820 which haue eyes 5869 and see 7200 z8799 not, x3808 which haue eares 241 and heare 8085 z8799 not. x3808

 5:22 Feare 3372 z8799 yee not x3808 mee, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD? 3068 Will yee not x3808 tremble 2342 z8799 at my presence, 6440 x4480 which x834 haue placed 7760 z8804 the sand 2344 for the bound 1366 of the sea, 3220 by a perpetuall 5769 decree 2706 that it cannot x3808 passe 5674 z8799 it, and though the waues 1530 thereof tosse y1607 z8691 themselues, x1607 yet can they not x3808 preuaile, 3201 z8799 though they roare, 1993 z8804 yet can they not x3808 passe ouer 5674 z8799 it?

 5:23 But this x2088 people 5971 hath x1961 a reuolting 5637 z8802 and a rebellious 4784 z8802 heart: 3820 they are reuolted 5493 z8804 and gone. y3212 z8799 x1980

 5:24 Neither x3808 say 559 z8804 they in their heart; 3824 Let vs now x4994 feare 3372 z8799 x853 the LORD 3068 our God, 430 that giueth 5414 z8802 raine, 1653 both the former 3138 and the later 4456 in his season: 6256 he reserueth 8104 z8799 vnto vs the appointed 2708 weekes 7620 of the haruest. 7105

 5:25 ¶ Your iniquities 5771 haue turned away 5186 z8689 these x428 things, & your sinnes 2403 haue withholden 4513 z8804 good 2896 things from x4480 you.

 5:26 For x3588 among my people 5971 are found 4672 z8738 wicked 7563 men: they lay waite 7789 z8799 as hee that setteth 7918 z8800 snares, 3353 they set 5324 z8689 a trap, 4889 they catch 3920 z8799 men. y582 x376

 5:27 As a cage 3619 [is] full 4392 of birds, 5775 so x3651 are their houses 1004 full 4392 of deceit: 4820 therefore x5921 x3651 they are become great, 1431 z8804 and waxen rich. 6238 z8686

 5:28 They are waxen fat, 8080 z8804 they shine: 6245 z8804 yea x1571 they ouerpasse 5674 z8804 the deedes 1697 of the wicked: 7451 they iudge 1777 z8804 not x3808 the cause, 1779 the cause x1779 of the fatherlesse, 3490 yet they prosper: 6743 z8686 and the right 4941 of the needy 34 doe they not x3808 iudge. 8199 z8804

 5:29 Shall I not x3808 visit 6485 z8799 for x5921 these x428 things, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD? 3068 shall not x3808 my soule 5315 be auenged 5358 z8691 on such x834 a nation 1471 as this? x2088

 5:30 ¶ A wonderfull 8047 and horrible thing 8186 is committed 1961 z8738 in the land. 776

 5:31 The prophets 5030 prophecie 5012 z8738 falsely, 8267 and the priests 3548 beare rule 7287 z8799 by x5921 their meanes, 3027 and my people 5971 loue 157 z8804 [to haue it] so: x3651 and what x4100 will yee doe 6213 z8799 in the end 319 therof?
