Ieremiah 16

1 The prophet, under the types of abstaining from marriage, from houses of mourning and feasting, foresheweth the utter ruin of the Jews, 10 because they were worse than their fathers. 14 Their return from captivity shall be stranger than their deliverance out of Egypt. 16 God will doubly recompense their idolatry.

 16:1 ¶ The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 also vnto x413 me, saying; 559 z8800

 16:2 Thou shalt not x3808 take 3947 z8799 thee a wife, 802 neither x3808 shalt thou haue x1961 sonnes 1121 nor daughters 1323 in this x2088 place. 4725

 16:3 For x3588 thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 concerning x5921 the sonnes 1121 and concerning x5921 the daughters 1323 that are borne y3205 z8688 x3209 in this x2088 place, 4725 and concerning x5921 their mothers 517 that bare 3205 z8802 them, and concerning x5921 their fathers 1 that begate y3209 x3205 them in this x2088 land: 776

 16:4 They shal die 4191 z8799 of grieuous 8463 deaths, 4463 they shall not x3808 bee lamented, 5594 z8735 neither x3808 shall they be buried: 6912 z8735 [but] they shall be as doung 1828 vpon x5921 the face 6440 of the earth, 127 and they shalbe x1961 consumed 3615 z8799 by the sword, 2719 and by famine, 7458 and their carkeises 5038 shall be meate 3978 for the foules 5775 of heauen, 8064 and for the beasts 929 of the earth. 776

 16:5 For x3588 thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Enter 935 z8799 not x408 into the house 1004 of mourning, 4798 neither x408 goe y3212 z8799 x1980 to lament 5594 z8800 nor x408 bemoane 5110 z8799 them: for x3588 I haue taken away 622 z8804 x853 my peace 7965 from x4480 x854 this x2088 people, 5971 sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 [euen] x853 louing kindnesse 2617 and mercies. 7356

 16:6 Both the great 1419 and the small 6996 shall die 4191 z8804 in this x2063 land: 776 they shall not x3808 be buried, 6912 z8735 neither x3808 shall men lament 5594 z8799 for them, nor x3808 cut y1413 z8704 themselues, x1413 nor x3808 make themselues balde 7139 z8735 for them.

 16:7 Neither x3808 shall men teare 6536 z8799 [themselues] for them in x5921 mourning 60 to comfort 5162 z8763 them for x5921 the dead, 4191 z8801 neither x3808 shall men giue them the cuppe 3563 of consolation 8575 to drinke 8248 z8686 for x5921 their father, 1 or for x5921 their mother. 517

 16:8 Thou shalt not x3808 also goe 935 z8799 into the house 1004 of feasting, 4960 to sit 3427 z8800 with x854 them to eat 398 z8800 and to drinke. 8354 z8800

 16:9 For x3588 thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hostes, 6635 the God 430 of Israel: 3478 Behold, x2009 I will cause to cease 7673 z8688 out of x4480 this x2088 place 4725 in your eyes, 5869 and in your dayes, 3117 the voice 6963 of mirth, 8342 and the voice 6963 of gladnesse, 8057 the voice 6963 of the bridegroome, 2860 and the voice 6963 of the bride. 3618

 16:10 ¶ And it shal come to passe x1961 when x3588 thou shalt shewe 5046 z8686 this x2088 people 5971 x853 all x3605 these x428 wordes, 1697 and they shall say 559 z8804 vnto x413 thee; Wherefore x5921 x4100 hath the LORD 3068 pronounced 1696 z8765 x853 all x3605 this x2063 great 1419 euill 7451 against x5921 vs? or what x4100 is our iniquitie? 5771 or what x4100 is our sinne, 2403 that x834 we haue committed 2398 z8804 against the LORD 3068 our God? 430

 16:11 Then shalt thou say 559 z8804 vnto x413 them; Because x5921 x834 your fathers 1 haue forsaken 5800 z8804 me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and haue walked y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 other 312 Gods, 430 and haue serued 5647 z8799 them, and haue worshipped 7812 z8691 them, and haue forsaken 5800 z8804 mee, and haue not x3808 kept 8104 z8804 my law: 8451

 16:12 And yee x859 haue done 6213 z8800 worse 7489 z8689 then your fathers, 1 x4480 (for behold, 2009 yee walke 1980 z8802 euerie one 376 after 310 the imagination 8307 of his euill 7451 heart, 3820 that they may not x1115 hearken 8085 z8800 vnto x413 me.)

 16:13 Therefore will I cast 2904 z8689 you out of x4480 x5921 this x2063 land 776 into x5921 a land 776 that x834 yee knowe 3045 z8804 not, x3808 [neither] yee, x859 nor your fathers, 1 and there x8033 shall yee serue 5647 z8804 x853 other 312 Gods 430 day 3119 and night, 3915 where x834 I will not x3808 shewe 5414 z8799 you fauour. 2594

 16:14 ¶ Therefore x3651 behold, x2009 the dayes 3117 come, 935 z8802 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that it shall no x3808 more x5750 be said; 559 z8735 The LORD 3068 liueth 2416 that x834 brought vp 5927 z8689 x853 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt; 4714

 16:15 But, x3588 x518 The LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 that x834 brought vp 5927 z8689 x853 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 from the land 776 x4480 of the North, 6828 and from all x4480 x3605 the lands 776 whither x834 x8033 hee had driuen 5080 z8689 them: and I will bring them againe 7725 z8689 into x5921 their land, 127 that x834 I gaue 5414 z8804 vnto their fathers. 1

 16:16 ¶ Behold, x2009 I will send 7971 z8802 for many 7227 fishers, 1771 z8675 y1728 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and they shal fish 1770 z8804 them, and after 310 x3651 will I send 7971 z8799 for manie 7227 hunters, 6719 and they shall hunt 6679 z8804 them from x4480 x5921 euery x3605 mountaine, 2022 and from x4480 x5921 euery x3605 hill, 1389 and out of the holes 5357 x4480 of the rockes. 5553

 16:17 For x3588 mine eyes 5869 [are] vpon x5921 all x3605 their waies: 1870 they are not x3808 hid 5641 z8738 from my face, 6440 x4480 neither x3808 is their iniquitie 5771 hid 6845 z8738 from 5048 x4480 mine eies. 5869

 16:18 And first 7223 I will recompense 7999 z8765 their iniquitie, 5771 and their sinne 2403 double, 4932 because x5921 they haue defiled 2490 z8763 x853 my land, 776 they haue filled 4390 z8804 x853 mine inheritance 5159 with the carkeises 5038 of their detestable 8251 and abominable things. 8441

 16:19 O LORD, 3068 my strength 5797 and my fortresse, 4581 and my refuge 4498 in the day 3117 of affliction; 6869 the Gentiles 1471 shall come 935 z8799 vnto x413 thee from the ends 657 x4480 of the earth, 776 and shall say; 559 z8799 Surely x389 our fathers 1 haue inherited 5157 z8804 lyes, 8267 vanitie, 1892 and [things] wherein [there is] no x369 profit. 3276 z8688

 16:20 Shall a man 120 make 6213 z8799 Gods 430 vnto himselfe, and they x1992 [are] no x3808 Gods? 430

 16:21 Therefore x3651 behold, x2009 I will this x2063 once 6471 cause them to know: 3045 z8688 I will cause them to knowe 3045 z8686 x853 mine hand 3027 and my might, 1369 and they shall know 3045 z8804 that x3588 my name 8034 [is] the LORD. 3068
