Ieremiah 8

1 The calamity of the Jews, both dead and alive. 4 He upbraideth their foolish and shameless impenitency. 13 He sheweth their grievous judgment, 18 and bewaileth their desperate estate.

 8:1 ¶ At that x1931 time, 6256 sayeth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 they shall bring out 3318 z8686 x853 the bones 6106 of the kings 4428 of Iudah, 3063 and the bones 6106 of his princes, 8269 and the bones 6106 of the Priests, 3548 and the bones 6106 of the Prophets, 5030 and the bones 6106 of the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of Ierusalem 3389 out of their graues. 6913 x4480

 8:2 And they shall spread 7849 z8804 them before the Sunne, 8121 and the Moone, 3394 and all x3605 the hoste 6635 of heauen 8064 whom x834 they haue loued, 157 z8804 and whom x834 they haue serued, 5647 z8804 and after 310 whom x834 they haue walked, 1980 z8804 and whom x834 they haue sought, 1875 z8804 and whom x834 they haue worshipped: 7812 z8694 they shall not x3808 be gathered, 622 z8735 nor x3808 be buried, 6912 z8735 they shall be x1961 for doung, 1828 vpon x5921 the face 6440 of the earth. 127

 8:3 And death 4194 shall bee chosen 977 z8738 rather then life, 2416 x4480 by all x3605 the residue 7611 of them that remaine 7604 z8737 of x4480 this x2063 euill 7451 family, 4940 which remaine 7604 z8737 in all x3605 the places 4725 whither x834 x8033 I haue driuen 5080 z8689 them, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD 3068 of hosts. 6635

 8:4 ¶ Moreouer thou shalt say 559 z8804 vnto x413 them, Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Shall they fall, 5307 z8799 and not x3808 arise? 6965 z8799 Shall hee turne away, 7725 z8799 and not x3808 returne? 7725 z8799

 8:5 Why x4069 [then] is this x2088 people 5971 of Ierusalem 3389 slidden backe, 7725 z8790 by a perpetual 5329 z8737 backesliding? 4878 They hold y2388 z8689 fast x2388 deceit, 8649 they refuse 3985 z8765 to returne. 7725 z8800

 8:7 Yea x1571 the Storke 2624 in the heauen 8064 knoweth 3045 z8804 her appointed times, 4150 and the turtle, 8449 and the crane, 5483 and the swallow 5693 obserue 8104 z8804 x853 the time 6256 of their coming; 935 z8800 but my people 5971 know 3045 z8804 not x3808 x853 the iudgement 4941 of the LORD. 3068

 8:8 How x349 doe ye say, 559 z8799 We x587 [are] wise, 2450 and the Law 8451 of the LORD 3068 [is] with x854 vs? Loe, x2009 certainly, 403 in vaine 8267 made 6213 z8804 he it, the pen 5842 of the scribes 5608 z8802 is in vaine. 8267

 8:9 The wise 2450 men are ashamed, y3001 z8689 x954 they are dismayed 2865 z8804 and taken; 3920 z8735 loe, x2009 they haue reiected 3988 z8804 the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 and what x4100 wisedome 2451 [is] in them?

 8:10 Therfore x3651 will I giue 5414 z8799 x853 their wiues 802 vnto others, 312 & their fields 7704 to them that shall inherite 3423 z8802 them: for x3588 euery one x3605 from the least 6996 x4480 euen vnto x5704 the greatest 1419 is giuen y1214 z8802 to couetousnes, 1215 x1214 from the Prophet 5030 x4480 euen vnto x5704 the priest, 3548 euery one x3605 dealeth 6213 z8802 falsly. 8267

 8:11 For they haue healed 7495 z8762 x853 the hurt 7667 of the daughter 1323 of my people 5971 slightly, 7043 z8738 saying, 559 z8800 Peace, 7965 peace, 7965 when [there is] no x369 peace. 7965

 8:12 Were they ashamed y3001 z8689 x954 when x3588 they had committed 6213 z8804 abomination? 8441 Nay, x1571 they were not x3808 at all y954 z8800 ashamed, 954 z8799 neither x3808 could 3045 z8804 they blush: 3637 z8736 therefore x3651 shall they fall 5307 z8799 among them that fal, 5307 z8802 in the time 6256 of their visitation 6486 they shall be cast downe, 3782 z8735 saith 559 z8804 the LORD. 3068

 8:13 ¶ I will surely y622 z8800 consume 5486 z8686 them, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD; 3068 [there shalbe] no x369 grapes 6025 on the vine, 1612 nor x369 figges 8384 on the figtree, 8384 and the leafe 5929 shall fade, 5034 z8804 and [the things that] I haue giuen 5414 z8799 them, shall passe away 5674 z8799 from them.

 8:14 Why x4100 x5921 doe wee x587 sit x3427 still? y3427 z8802 Assemble y622 z8734 your selues, x622 and let vs enter 935 z8799 into x413 the defenced 4013 cities, 5892 and let vs be silent 1826 z8735 there: x8033 for x3588 the LORD 3068 our God 430 hath put vs to silence, 1826 z8689 and giuen vs waters 4325 of gall 7219 to drink, 8248 z8686 because x3588 we haue sinned 2398 z8804 against the LORD. 3068

 8:15 We looked 6960 z8763 for peace, 7965 but no x369 good 2896 [came: and] for a time 6256 of health, 4832 and behold x2009 trouble. 1205

 8:16 The snorting 5170 of his horses 5483 was heard 8085 z8738 from Dan: 1835 x4480 the whole x3605 land 776 trembled 7493 z8804 at the sound 6963 x4480 of the neighing 4684 of his strong ones, 47 for they are come 935 z8799 and haue deuoured 398 z8799 the land, 776 and all 4393 that is in it, the citie, 5892 and those that dwell 3427 z8802 therein.

 8:17 For x3588 behold, x2009 I wil send 7971 z8764 serpents, 5175 cockatrices 6848 among you, which x834 [will] not x369 [be] charmed, 3908 and they shall bite 5391 z8765 you; saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 8:18 ¶ [When] I would comfort 4010 my selfe against x5921 sorrow, 3015 my heart 3820 [is] faint 1742 in x5921 me.

 8:19 Behold x2009 the voice 6963 of the crie 7775 of the daughter 1323 of my people 5971 because of them that dwel in a farre 4801 countrey: 776 x4480 [Is] not x369 the LORD 3068 in Zion? 6726 is not x369 her king 4428 in her? why x4069 haue they prouoked me to anger 3707 z8689 with their grauen images, 6456 [and] with strange 5236 vanities? 1892

 8:20 The haruest 7105 is past, 5674 z8804 the summer 7019 is ended, 3615 z8804 and we x587 are not x3808 saued. 3467 z8738

 8:21 For x5921 the hurt 7667 of the daughter 1323 of my people 5971 am I hurt, 7665 z8717 I am blacke: 6937 z8804 astonishment 8047 hath taken hold 2388 z8689 on me.

 8:22 [Is there] no x369 balme 6875 in Gilead? 1568 [is there] no x369 physician 7495 z8802 there? x8033 why x4069 then 3588 is not x3808 the health 724 of the daughter 1323 of my people 5971 recouered? 5927 z8804
