Ieremiah 6

1 The enemies, sent against Judah, 4 encourage themselves. 6 God setteth them on work because of their sins. 9 The prophet lamenteth the judgments of God because of their sins. 18 He proclaimeth God's wrath. 26 He calleth the people to mourn for the judgment on their sins.

 6:1 ¶ O yee children 1121 of Beniamin, 1144 gather your selues to flee 5756 z8685 out of the middest 7130 x4480 of Ierusalem, 3389 and blow 8628 z8798 the trumpet 7782 in Tekoa: 8620 and set vp 5375 z8798 a signe y4864 of fire x4864 in x5921 Beth-haccerem: 1021 for x3588 euill 7451 appeareth 8259 z8738 out of the North, 6828 x4480 and great 1419 destruction. 7667

 6:2 I haue likened y1820 z8804 x1819 the daughter 1323 of Zion 6726 to a comely y5116 x5000 and delicate 6026 z8794 [woman].

 6:3 The shepheards 7462 z8802 with their flocks 5739 shall come 935 z8799 vnto x413 her: they shall pitch 8628 z8804 [their] tents 168 against x5921 her round about: 5439 they shall feede, 7462 z8804 euery one 376 in x854 his place. 3027

 6:4 Prepare 6942 z8761 yee warre 4421 against x5921 her: arise, 6965 z8798 and let vs goe vp 5927 z8799 at noone: 6672 woe 188 vnto vs, for x3588 the day 3117 goeth away, 6437 z8804 for x3588 the shadowes 6752 of the euening 6153 are stretched out. 5186 z8735

 6:5 Arise, 6965 z8798 and let vs goe 5927 z8799 by night, 3915 and let vs destroy 7843 z8686 her palaces. 759

 6:6 ¶ For x3588 thus x3541 hath the LORD 3068 of hostes 6635 said; 559 z8804 Hew yee downe 3772 z8798 trees 6097 and cast 8210 z8798 a mount 5550 against x5921 Ierusalem: 3389 this x1931 is the citie 5892 to be visited, 6485 z8717 she [is] wholly x3605 oppression 6233 in the midst 7130 of her.

 6:7 As a fountaine 953 casteth out 6979 z8687 her waters, 4325 so x3651 she casteth x6979 out y6979 z8689 her wickednesse: 7451 violence 2555 and spoile 7701 is heard 8085 z8735 in her, before x5921 x6440 me y6440 continually 8548 [is] griefe 2483 and wounds. 4347

 6:8 Be thou instructed, 3256 z8734 O Ierusalem, 3389 lest x6435 my soule 5315 depart 3363 z8799 from x4480 thee: lest x6435 I make 7760 z8799 thee desolate, 8077 a lande 776 not x3808 inhabited. 3427 z8738

 6:9 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 They shall throughly y5953 z8780 gleane 5953 z8779 the remnant 7611 of Israel 3478 as a vine: 1612 turne backe 7725 z8685 thine hand 3027 as a grape gatherer 1219 z8802 into x5921 the baskets. 5552

 6:10 To x5921 whome x4310 shall I speake 1696 z8762 and giue warning, 5749 z8686 that they may heare? 8085 z8799 Behold, x2009 their eare 241 [is] vncircumcised, 6189 and they cannot 3201 z8799 x3808 hearken: 7181 z8687 beholde, x2009 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 is x1961 vnto them a reproch: 2781 they haue no x3808 delight 2654 z8799 in it.

 6:11 Therefore I am full 4392 of x854 the furie 2534 of the LORD: 3068 I am weary 3811 z8738 with holding x3557 in: y3557 z8687 I will powre it out 8210 z8800 vpon x5921 the children 5768 abroad, 2351 and vpon x5921 the assembly 5475 of yong men 970 together: 3162 for x3588 euen x1571 the husband 376 with x5973 the wife 802 shall be taken, 3920 z8735 the aged 2205 with x5973 [him that is] full 4390 z8804 of dayes. 3117

 6:12 And their houses 1004 shall be turned 5437 z8738 vnto others, 312 with [their] fields 7704 and wiues 802 together: 3162 for x3588 I wil stretch out 5186 z8686 x853 my hand 3027 vpon x5921 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the land, 776 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 6:13 For x3588 from the least 6996 x4480 of them euen vnto x5704 the greatest 1419 of them, euery one x3605 is giuen y1214 z8802 to x1214 couetousnesse, 1215 and from the prophet 5030 x4480 euen vnto x5704 the priest, 3548 euery one x3605 dealeth 6213 z8802 falsly. 8267

 6:14 They haue healed 7495 z8762 also x853 the hurt 7667 of the daughter y1323 z8676 of my people 5971 sleightly, 7043 z8738 x5921 saying, 559 z8800 Peace, 7965 peace, 7965 when [there is] no x369 peace. 7965

 6:15 Were they ashamed y3001 z8689 x954 when x3588 they had committed 6213 z8804 abomination? 8441 nay 1571 they were not x3808 at all y954 z8800 ashamed, 954 z8799 neither y1571 x3808 could 3045 z8804 they blush: 3637 z8687 therefore x3651 they shall fall 5307 z8799 among them that fall: 5307 z8802 at the time 6256 that I visit 6485 z8804 them, they shall bee cast downe, 3782 z8735 saith 559 z8804 the LORD. 3068

 6:16 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Stand 5975 z8798 ye in x5921 the wayes 1870 and see, 7200 z8799 and aske 7592 z8798 for the old 5769 paths, 5410 where x335 x2088 is the good 2896 way, 1870 and walke y3212 z8799 x1980 therein, and ye shall finde 4672 z8798 rest 4771 for your soules: 5315 but they said, 559 z8799 We will not x3808 walke y3212 z8798 x1980 [therein].

 6:17 Also I set 6965 z8689 watchmen 6822 z8802 ouer x5921 you, [saying], Hearken 7181 z8685 to the sound 6963 of the trumpet: 7782 but they said, 559 z8799 We wil not x3808 hearken. 7181 z8686

 6:18 ¶ Therefore x3651 heare 8085 z8798 ye nations, 1471 and know, 3045 z8798 O Congregation 5712 x853 what x834 [is] among them.

 6:19 Heare, 8085 z8798 O earth, 776 behold, x2009 I x595 will bring 935 z8688 euill 7451 vpon x413 this x2088 people, 5971 [euen] the fruit 6529 of their thoughts, 4284 because x3588 they haue not x3808 hearkened 7181 z8689 vnto x5921 my wordes, 1697 nor to my law, 8451 but reiected 3988 z8799 it.

 6:20 To what x4100 purpose x2088 cometh 935 z8799 there to me incense 3828 from Sheba? 7614 x4480 and the sweet 2896 cane 7070 from a farre 4801 countrey? 776 x4480 your burnt offerings 5930 [are] not x3808 acceptable, 7522 nor x3808 your sacrifices 2077 sweet 6149 z8804 vnto me.

 6:21 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Behold, x2009 I will lay 5414 z8802 stumbling blockes 4383 before x413 this x2088 people, 5971 and the fathers 1 and the sons 1121 together 3162 shall fall 3782 z8804 vpon them: the neighbor 7934 and his friend 7453 shall perish. 6 z8804

 6:22 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Behold, x2009 a people 5971 commeth 935 z8802 from the North 6828 countrey, 776 x4480 and a great 1419 nation 1471 shall bee raised 5782 z8735 from the sides 3411 x4480 of the earth. 776

 6:23 They shall lay hold 2388 z8686 on bowe 7198 and speare: 3591 they x1931 [are] cruell, 394 and haue no x3808 mercie: 7355 z8762 their voice 6963 roareth 1993 z8799 like the Sea, 3220 and they ride 7392 z8799 vpon x5921 horses, 5483 set in aray 6186 z8803 as men 376 for warre 4421 against x5921 thee, O daughter 1323 of Zion. 6726

 6:24 We haue heard 8085 z8804 x853 the fame 8089 thereof, our hands 3027 waxe feeble, 7503 z8804 anguish 6869 hath taken hold 2388 z8689 of vs, [and] paine 2427 as of a woman in trauaile. 3205 z8802

 6:25 Goe not forth 3318 z8799 x408 into the field, 7704 nor x408 walke y3212 z8799 x1980 by the way: 1870 for x3588 the sword 2719 of the enemie 341 z8802 [and] feare 4032 [is] on euery side. 5439 x4480

 6:26 ¶ O daughter 1323 of my people, 5971 gird 2296 z8798 thee with sackcloth, 8242 and wallowe y6428 z8690 thy selfe x6428 in ashes: 665 make 6213 z8798 thee mourning, 60 [as] for an onely sonne, 3173 most bitter 8563 lamentation: 4553 for x3588 the spoiler 7703 z8802 shall suddenly 6597 come 935 z8799 vpon x5921 vs.

 6:27 I haue set 5414 z8804 thee for a towre, 969 [and] a fortresse 4013 among my people: 5971 that thou mayest know 3045 z8799 and trie 974 z8804 x853 their way. 1870

 6:28 They are all x3605 grieuous 5493 z8802 reuolters, 5637 z8802 walking 1980 z8802 with slanders: 7400 they are brasse 5178 and yron, 1270 [they x1992 are] all x3605 corrupters. 7843 z8688

 6:29 The bellowes 4647 are burnt, 2787 z8738 the lead 5777 is consumed 8552 z8804 of the fire: 784 y800 x4480 the founder 6884 z8800 melteth 6884 z8804 in vaine: 7723 for the wicked 7451 are not x3808 plucked away. 5423 z8738

 6:30 Reprobate 3988 z8737 siluer 3701 shall men call 7121 z8804 them, because x3588 the LORD 3068 hath reiected 3988 z8804 them.
