1 The judgment of Moab, 7 for their pride, 11 for their security, 14 for their carnal confidence, 26 and for their contempt of God and his people. 47 The restoration of Moab.

 48:1 ¶ Against Moab 4124 thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hostes, 6635 the God 430 of Israel, 3478 Woe 1945 vnto x413 Nebo, 5015 for x3588 it is spoiled: 7703 z8795 Kiriathaim 7156 is confounded 3001 z8689 [and] taken. 3920 z8738 Misgab 4869 is confounded 3001 z8689 and dismayed. 2865 z8804

 48:2 [There shall bee] no x369 more x5750 prayse 8416 of Moab: 4124 in Heshbon 2809 they haue deuised 2803 z8804 euill 7451 against x5921 it; come y3212 z8798 x1980 and let vs cut it off 3772 z8686 from [being] a nation; 1471 x4480 also x1571 thou shalt bee cut downe, 1826 z8735 O Madmen, 4086 the sword 2719 shall pursue y3212 z8799 x1980 x310 thee. y310

 48:3 A voice 6963 of crying 6818 [shall be] from Horonaim; 2773 x4480 Spoiling 7701 & great 1419 destruction. 7667

 48:4 Moab 4124 is destroyed, 7665 z8738 her little ones 6810 haue caused a crie 2201 to be heard. 8085 z8689

 48:5 For x3588 in the going vp 4608 of Luhith 3872 continuall y1065 weeping 1065 shall go vp; 5927 z8799 for x3588 in the going downe 4174 of Horonaim 2773 the enemies 6862 haue heard 8085 z8804 a crie 6818 of destruction. 7667

 48:6 Flee, 5127 z8798 saue 4422 z8761 your liues, 5315 and be 1961 z8799 like the heath 6176 in the wildernesse. 4057

 48:7 ¶ For x3588 because x3282 thou hast trusted 982 z8800 in thy workes, 4639 and in thy treasures, 214 thou x859 shalt also x1571 be taken, 3920 z8735 and Chemosh 3645 shall goe foorth 3318 z8804 into captiuitie 1473 [with] his priests 3548 and his princes 8269 together. 3162

 48:8 And the spoyler 7703 z8802 shall come 935 z8799 vpon x413 euery x3605 citie, 5892 and no x3808 citie 5892 shall escape: 4422 z8735 the valley 6010 also shal perish, 6 z8804 & the plaine 4334 shall be destroyed, 8045 z8738 as x834 ye LORD 3068 hath spoken. 559 z8804

 48:9 Giue 5414 z8798 wings 6731 vnto Moab, 4124 that x3588 it may flee 5323 z8800 and get away: 3318 z8799 for the cities 5892 thereof shalbe x1961 desolate, 8047 without any x4480 x369 to dwell 3427 z8802 therein. 2004

 48:11 ¶ Moab 4124 hath bene at ease 7599 z8768 from his youth, 5271 x4480 and hee x1931 hath setled 8252 z8802 on x413 his lees, 8105 and hath not x3808 been emptied 7324 z8717 from vessell 3627 x4480 to x413 vessell, 3627 neither x3808 hath he gone 1980 z8804 into captiuitie: 1473 therefore x5921 x3651 his taste 2940 remained 5975 z8804 in him, and his sent 7381 is not x3808 changed. 4171 z8738

 48:12 Therfore x3651 behold, x2009 the dayes 3117 come, 935 z8802 sayth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 that I will send 7971 z8765 vnto him wanderers 6808 z8802 that shall cause him to wander, 6808 z8765 and shall emptie 7324 z8686 his vessels, 3627 and breake 5310 z8762 their bottles. 5035

 48:13 And Moab 4124 shall bee ashamed 954 z8804 of Chemosh, 3645 x4480 as x834 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 was ashamed 954 z8804 of Bethel 1008 x4480 their confidence. 4009

 48:14 ¶ How x349 say 559 z8799 yee, We x587 [are] mightie 1368 and strong 2428 men y582 x376 for the warre? 4421

 48:15 Moab 4124 is spoiled 7703 z8795 and gone vp 5927 z8804 [out of] her cities, 5892 and his chosen 4005 yong men 970 are gone downe 3381 z8804 to the slaughter, 2874 sayth 5002 z8803 the King, 4428 whose Name 8034 [is] the LORD 3068 of hostes. 6635

 48:16 The calamitie 343 of Moab 4124 is neere 7138 to come, 935 z8800 and his affliction 7451 hasteth 4116 z8765 fast. 3966

 48:17 All x3605 yee that are about 5439 him bemoane 5110 z8798 him, and all x3605 yee that know 3045 z8802 his Name, 8034 say, 559 z8798 How x349 is the strong 5797 staffe 4294 broken, 7665 z8738 [and] the beautifull 8597 rod! 4731

 48:18 Thou daughter 1323 that doest inhabit 3427 z8802 Dibon, 1769 come downe 3381 z8798 from [thy] glory, 3519 x4480 and sit 3427 z8798 in thirst; 6772 for x3588 the spoiler 7703 z8802 of Moab 4124 shall come 5927 z8804 vpon thee, [and] he shall destroy 7843 z8765 thy strong holdes. 4013

 48:21 And iudgement 4941 is come 935 z8804 vpon x413 the plaine 4334 countrey, 776 vpon x413 Holon, 2473 and vpon x413 Iahazah, 3096 and vpon x5921 Mephaath, 4158

 48:22 And vpon x5921 Dibon, 1769 and vpon x5921 Nebo, 5015 and vpon x5921 Beth-diblathaim, 1015

 48:24 And vpon x5921 Kerioth, 7152 and vpon x5921 Bozrah, 1224 and vpon x5921 all x3605 the cities 5892 of the land 776 of Moab 4124 farre 7350 or neere. 7138

 48:25 The horne 7161 of Moab 4124 is cut off, 1438 z8738 & his arme 2220 is broken, 7665 z8738 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 48:26 ¶ Make ye him drunken: 7937 z8685 for x3588 hee magnified 1431 z8689 [himselfe] against x5921 the LORD: 3068 Moab 4124 also shall wallow 5606 z8804 in his vomit, 6892 and he x1931 also x1571 shalbe x1961 in derision. 7814

 48:27 For x518 was x1961 not x3808 Israel 3478 a derision 7814 vnto thee? was hee found 4672 z8738 among theeues? 1590 for x3588 since 1767 x4480 thou spakest 1697 of him, thou skippedst y5110 z8709 for ioy. x5110

 48:28 O yee that dwell 3427 z8802 in Moab, 4124 leaue 5800 z8798 the cities 5892 and dwell 7931 z8798 in the rocke, 5553 and be x1961 like the doue 3123 [that] maketh her nest 7077 z8762 in the sides 5676 of the holes 6354 mouth. 6310

 48:29 We haue heard 8085 z8804 the pride 1347 of Moab, 4124 (he is exceeding 3966 proud) 1343 his loftinesse 1363 and his arrogancie, y1346 x1347 and his pride, y1347 x1346 and the hautinesse 7312 of his heart. 3820

 48:30 I x589 knowe 3045 z8804 his wrath, 5678 sayeth 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 but [it shall] not x3808 [be] so, x3651 his lyes 907 shall not x3808 so x3651 effect 6213 z8804 [it].

 48:31 Therefore x5921 x3651 will I howle 3213 z8686 for x5921 Moab, 4124 and I will cry out 2199 z8799 for all x3605 Moab, 4124 [mine heart] shall mourne 1897 z8799 for x413 the men y582 x376 of Kir-heres. 7025

 48:33 And ioy 8057 and gladnesse 1524 is taken 622 z8738 from the plentifull field, 3759 x4480 and from the land 776 x4480 of Moab, 4124 and I haue caused wine 3196 to faile 7673 z8689 from the winepresses, 3342 x4480 none x3808 shall tread 1869 z8799 with shouting, 1959 [their] showting 1959 [shall be] no x3808 showting. 1959

 48:34 From the cry 2201 x4480 of Heshbon 2809 euen vnto x5704 Elealeh, 500 [and] euen vnto x5704 Iahaz 3096 haue they vttered 5414 z8804 their voyce, 6963 from Zoar 6820 x4480 euen vnto x5704 Horonaim 2773 [as] an heifer 5697 of three yeeres old: 7992 for x3588 the waters 4325 also x1571 of Nimrim 5249 shall be x1961 desolate. 4923

 48:35 Moreouer, I will cause to cease 7673 z8689 in Moab, 4124 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 him that offereth 5927 z8688 in the high places, 1116 and him that burneth incense 6999 z8688 to his Gods. 430

 48:36 Therefore x5921 x3651 mine heart 3820 shall sound 1993 z8799 for Moab 4124 like pipes, 2485 and mine heart 3820 shall sound 1993 z8799 like pipes 2485 for x413 the men y582 x376 of Kir-heres: 7025 because x5921 x3651 the riches 3502 that hee hath gotten 6213 z8804 is perished. 6 z8804

 48:37 For x3588 euery x3605 head 7218 shall be bald, 7144 and euery x3605 beard 2206 clipt: 1639 z8803 vpon x5921 all x3605 the hands 3027 [shall be] cuttings, y1417 x1418 and vpon x5921 the loines 4975 sackcloth. 8242

 48:38 There shall be lamentation 4553 generally x3605 vpon x5921 all x3605 the house toppes 1406 of Moab, 4124 and in the streetes 7339 thereof: for x3588 I haue broken 7665 z8804 x853 Moab 4124 like a vessell, 3627 wherin is no x369 pleasure, 2656 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 48:39 They shall howle, 3213 z8685 [saying]; How x349 is it broken downe? 2865 z8804 how x349 hath Moab 4124 turned 6437 z8689 the backe 6203 with shame? 954 z8804 so shall Moab 4124 be x1961 a derision, 7814 and a dismaying 4288 to all x3605 them about 5439 him.

 48:40 For x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Behold, x2009 hee shall fly 1675 z8799 as an eagle, 5404 and shall spread 6566 z8804 his wings 3671 ouer x413 Maob. 4124

 48:41 Kerioth 7152 is taken, 3920 z8738 and the strong holds 4679 are surprised, 8610 z8738 & the mighty mens 1368 hearts 3820 in Moab 4124 at that x1931 day 3117 shall be x1961 as the heart 3820 of a woman 802 in her pangs. 6887 z8688

 48:42 And Moab 4124 shall be destroyed 8045 z8738 from being a people, 5971 x4480 because x3588 he hath magnified 1431 z8689 [himselfe] against x5921 the LORD. 3068

 48:43 Feare, 6343 and the pit, 6354 and the snare 6341 [shall be] vpon x5921 thee, O inhabitant 3427 z8802 of Moab, 4124 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 48:44 Hee that fleeth 5211 y5127 z8801 z8675 from 6440 x4480 the feare 6343 shall fall 5307 z8799 into x413 the pit, 6354 and he that getteth vp 5927 z8802 out of x4480 the pit 6354 shall be taken 3920 z8735 in the snare: 6341 for x3588 I will bring 935 z8686 vpon x413 it, [euen] vpon x413 Moab, 4124 the yeere 8141 of their visitation, 6486 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 48:45 They that fled, 5127 z8801 stood 5975 z8804 vnder the shadow 6738 of Heshbon, 2809 because of the force: 3581 x4480 but x3588 a fire 784 shall come forth 3318 z8804 out of Heshbon, 2809 x4480 and a flame 3852 from the middest 996 x4480 of Sihon, 5511 and shall deuoure 398 z8799 the corner 6285 of Moab, 4124 and the crowne of the head 6936 of the tumultuous 7588 ones. 1121

 48:46 Woe 188 be vnto thee, O Moab, 4124 the people 5971 of Chemosh 3645 perisheth: 6 z8804 for x3588 thy sonnes 1121 are taken 3947 z8795 captiues, 7628 and thy daughters 1323 captiues. 7633

 48:47 ¶ Yet will I bring againe 7725 z8804 the captiuitie 7622 of Moab 4124 in the later 319 dayes, 3117 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068 Thus x2008 farre y2008 x5704 [is] the iudgement 4941 of Moab. 4124
