Ieremiah 10

1 The unequal comparison of God and idols. 17 The prophet exhorteth to flee from the calamity to come. 19 He lamenteth the spoil of the Tabernacle by foolish pastors. 23 He maketh an humble supplication.

 10:2 Thus x3541 sayeth 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Learne 3925 z8799 not x408 the way 1870 of the heathen, 1471 and be not x408 dismayed 2865 z8735 at the signes 226 x4480 of heauen, 8064 for x3588 the heathen 1471 are dismayed 2865 z8735 at them. 1992 x4480

 10:3 For x3588 the customes 2708 of the people 5971 are vaine: 1892 for x3588 one cutteth 3772 z8804 a tree 6086 out of the forrest 3293 x4480 (the worke 4639 of the handes 3027 of the workeman) 2796 with the axe. 4621

 10:4 They decke 3302 z8762 it with siluer 3701 and with golde, 2091 they fasten 2388 z8762 it with nayles, 4548 and with hammers 4717 that it mooue 6328 z8686 not. x3808

 10:6 Forasmuch as [there is] none x4480 x369 like vnto thee, x3644 O LORD, 3068 thou x859 [art] great, 1419 and thy Name 8034 [is] great 1419 in might. 1369

 10:7 Who x4310 would not x3808 feare 3372 z8799 thee, O King 4428 of nations? 1471 for x3588 to thee doeth [it] appertaine: 2969 z8804 forasmuch x3588 as among all x3605 the wise 2450 men of the nations, 1471 and in all x3605 their kingdomes, 4438 [there is] none x4480 x369 like vnto thee. x3644

 10:8 But they are altogether 259 brutish 1197 z8799 and foolish: 3688 z8799 the stocke 6086 is a doctrine 4148 of vanities. 1892

 10:9 Siluer 3701 spread into plates 7554 z8794 is brought 935 z8714 from Tarshish, 8659 x4480 and gold 2091 from Uphaz, 210 x4480 the worke 4639 of the workeman, 2796 and of the hands 3027 of the founder: 6884 z8802 blue 8504 and purple 713 [is] their clothing: 3830 they [are] all x3605 the worke 4639 of cunning 2450 men.

 10:10 But the LORD 3068 [is] the true 571 God, 430 he x1931 [is] the liuing 2416 God, 430 and an euerlasting 5769 King: 4428 at his wrath 7110 x4480 the earth 776 shal tremble, 7493 z8799 and the nations 1471 shall not x3808 be able to abide 3557 z8686 his indignation. 2195

 10:11 Thus 1836 shal ye say 560 z8748 vnto them, The Gods 426 that x1768 haue not 3809 made 5648 z8754 the heauens, 8065 & the earth, 778 [euen] they shall perish 7 z8748 from the earth, 772 x4481 & from x4481 vnder 8460 these 429 heauens. 8065

 10:12 Hee hath made 6213 z8802 the earth 776 by his power, 3581 he hath established 3559 z8688 the world 8398 by his wisedome, 2451 and hath stretched out 5186 z8804 the heauens 8064 by his discretion. 8394

 10:13 When he vttereth 5414 z8800 his voice, 6963 [there is] a multitude 1995 of waters 4325 in the heauens, 8064 and hee causeth the vapours 5387 to ascend 5927 z8686 from the ends 7097 x4480 of the earth: 776 hee maketh 6213 z8804 lightnings 1300 with raine, 4306 and bringeth forth 3318 z8686 the wind 7307 out of his treasures. 214 x4480

 10:14 Euery x3605 man 120 is brutish 1197 z8738 in [his] knowledge, 1847 x4480 euery x3605 founder 6884 z8802 is confounded 3001 z8689 by the grauen image: 6459 x4480 for x3588 his moulten image 5262 [is] falsehood, 8267 and [there is] no x3808 breath 7307 in them.

 10:15 They x1992 [are] vanity, 1892 [and] the worke 4639 of errours: 8595 in the time 6256 of their visitation 6486 they shall perish. 6 z8799

 10:16 The portion 2506 of Iacob 3290 [is] not x3808 like them: x428 for x3588 he x1931 [is] the fourmer 3335 z8802 of all x3605 things, and Israel 3478 [is] the rod 7626 of his inheritance: 5159 the LORD 3068 of hostes 6635 [is] his Name. 8034

 10:17 ¶ Gather vp 622 z8798 thy wares 3666 out of the land, 776 x4480 O inhabitant 3427 z8802 of the fortresse. y4692 x4693

 10:18 For x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Behold, x2009 I will sling y7049 z8802 out x7049 x853 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the land 776 at this x2063 once, 6471 and will distresse 6887 z8689 them, that x4616 they may find 4672 z8799 [it so].

 10:19 ¶ Woe 188 is mee for x5921 my hurt, 7667 my wound 4347 is grieuous: 2470 z8737 but I x589 sayd, 559 z8804 Truely 389 this x2088 [is] a griefe, 2483 and I must beare 5375 z8799 it.

 10:20 My Tabernacle 168 is spoyled, 7703 z8795 and all x3605 my cordes 4340 are broken: 5423 z8738 my children 1121 are gone foorth 3318 z8804 of me, and they [are] not: x369 [there is] none x369 to stretch foorth 5186 z8802 my tent 168 any more, x5750 and to set vp 6965 z8688 my curtaines. 3407

 10:21 For x3588 the Pastours 7462 z8802 are become brutish, 1197 z8738 and haue not x3808 sought 1875 z8804 the LORD: 3068 therefore x5921 x3651 they shall not x3808 prosper, 7919 z8689 and all x3605 their flockes 4830 shall be scattered. 6327 z8738

 10:22 Behold, x2009 the noise 6963 of the bruit 8052 is come, 935 z8802 and a great 1419 commotion 7494 out of the North y6828 countrey, 776 x4480 x6828 to make 7760 z8800 x853 the cities 5892 of Iudah 3063 desolate, 8077 [and] a denne 4583 of dragons. 8577

 10:23 ¶ O LORD, 3068 I know 3045 z8804 that x3588 the way 1870 of man 120 [is] not x3808 in himselfe: it [is] not x3808 in man 376 that walketh, 1980 z8802 to direct 3559 z8687 x853 his steps. 6806

 10:24 O LORD, 3068 correct 3256 z8761 mee, but with x389 iudgement, 4941 not x408 in thine anger, 639 lest x6435 thou bring me to nothing. 4591 z8686
