Ieremiah 14

1 The grievous famine 7 causeth Jeremiah to pray. 10 The LORD will not be intreated for the people. 13 Lying prophets are no excuse for them. 17 Jeremiah is moved to complain for them.

 14:1 ¶ The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 that x834 came x1961 to x413 Ieremiah 3414 concerning 1697 x5921 the dearth. 1226

 14:2 Iudah 3063 mourneth, 56 z8804 and the gates 8179 thereof languish, 535 z8797 they are blacke 6937 z8804 vnto the ground, 776 and the crie 6682 of Ierusalem 3389 is gone vp. 5927 z8804

 14:3 And their nobles 117 haue sent 7971 z8804 their litle ones 6810 to the waters, 4325 they came 935 z8804 to x5921 the pits 1356 z8676 y1360 [and] found 4672 z8804 no x3808 water, 4325 they returned 7725 z8804 with the vessels 3627 emptie: 7387 they were ashamed 954 z8804 and confounded, 3637 z8717 and couered 2645 z8804 their heads. 7218

 14:5 Yea x1571 the hinde 365 also calued 3205 z8804 in the field, 7704 and forsooke 5800 z8800 [it], because x3588 there was x1961 no x3808 grasse. 1877

 14:6 And the wilde asses 6501 did stand 5975 z8804 in x5921 the hie places, 8205 they snuffed vp 7602 z8804 the winde 7307 like dragons: 8577 their eyes 5869 did faile 3615 z8804 because x3588 [there was] no x369 grasse. 6212

 14:7 ¶ O LORD, 3068 though x518 our iniquities 5771 testifie 6030 z8804 against vs, doe 6213 z8798 thou [it] for thy Names y8034 sake: x4616 x8034 for x3588 our back-slidings 4878 are many, 7231 z8804 we haue sinned 2398 z8804 against thee.

 14:8 O the hope 4723 of Israel, 3478 the Sauiour 3467 z8688 thereof in time 6256 of trouble, 6869 why x4100 shouldest thou be x1961 as a stranger 1616 in the land, 776 and as a wayfaring man, 732 z8802 [that] turneth aside 5186 z8804 to tarie x3885 for a night? y3885 z8800

 14:9 Why x4100 shouldest thou bee x1961 as a man 376 astonied, 1724 z8737 as a mightie man 1368 [that] cannot 3201 z8799 x3808 saue? 3467 z8687 yet thou, x859 O LORD, 3068 [art] in the midst 7130 of vs, and we are called 7121 z8738 by thy Name, 8034 leaue y3240 z8686 x5117 vs not. x408

 14:10 ¶ Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 vnto this x2088 people, 5971 Thus x3651 haue they loued 157 z8804 to wander, 5128 z8800 they haue not x3808 refrained 2820 z8804 their feete, 7272 therefore the LORD 3068 doeth not x3808 accept 7521 z8804 them, hee will now x6258 remember 2142 z8799 their iniquitie, 5771 and visite 6485 z8799 their sinnes. 2403

 14:11 Then said 559 z8799 the LORD 3068 vnto x413 mee, Pray 6419 z8691 not x408 for x1157 this x2088 people, 5971 for [their] good. 2896

 14:12 When x3588 they fast 6684 z8799 I will not x369 heare 8085 z8802 x413 their crie, 7440 and when x3588 they offer 5927 z8686 burnt offering 5930 and an oblation 4503 I wil not x369 accept 7521 z8802 them: but x3588 I x595 will consume 3615 z8764 them by the sword, 2719 and by the famine, 7458 and by the pestilence. 1698

 14:13 ¶ Then said 559 z8799 I Ah 162 Lord 136 GOD, 3069 behold, x2009 the prophets 5030 say 559 z8802 vnto them; Ye shall not x3808 see 7200 z8799 the sword, 2719 neither x3808 shall ye haue x1961 famine, 7458 but x3588 I will giue 5414 z8799 you assured 571 peace 7965 in this x2088 place. 4725

 14:14 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 me, The prophets 5030 prophecie 5012 z8737 lies 8267 in my Name, 8034 I sent 7971 z8804 them not, x3808 neither x3808 haue I commanded 6680 z8765 them, neither x3808 spake 1696 z8765 vnto x413 them: they x1992 prophecie 5012 z8693 vnto you a false 8267 vision 2377 and diuination, 7081 and a thing of nought, 434 y457 z8675 and the deceit 8649 of their heart. 3820

 14:15 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 concerning x5921 the prophets 5030 that prophecie 5012 z8737 in my Name, 8034 and I x589 sent 7971 z8804 them not, x3808 yet they x1992 say, 559 z8802 Sword 2719 and famine 7458 shall not x3808 be x1961 in this x2063 land, 776 By sword 2719 and famine 7458 shall those x1992 prophets 5030 be consumed. 8552 z8735

 14:16 And the people 5971 to whom x834 they x1992 prophecie, 5012 z8737 shall be x1961 cast out 7993 z8716 in the streets 2351 of Ierusalem, 3389 because 6440 x4480 of the famine 7458 and the sword, 2719 and they shall haue none x369 to burie 6912 z8764 them, 1992 them, x1992 their wiues, 802 nor their sonnes, 1121 nor their daughters: 1323 for I will powre 8210 z8804 x853 their wickednesse 7451 vpon x5921 them.

 14:17 ¶ Therefore thou shalt say 559 z8804 x853 this x2088 word 1697 vnto x413 them, Let mine eies 5869 runne downe 3381 z8799 with teares 1832 night 3915 and day, 3119 and let them not x408 cease, 1820 z8799 for x3588 the virgin 1330 daughter 1323 of my people 5971 is broken 7665 z8738 with a great 1419 breach, 7667 with a very 3966 grieuous 2470 z8737 blow. 4347

 14:18 If x518 I goe forth 3318 z8804 into the field, 7704 then behold x2009 the slaine 2491 with the sword, 2719 and if x518 I enter 935 z8804 into the citie, 5892 then behold x2009 them that are sicke 8463 with famine, 7458 yea x3588 both x1571 the prophet 5030 and x1571 the priest 3548 goe about 5503 z8804 into x413 a land 776 that they know 3045 z8804 not. x3808

 14:19 Hast thou vtterly y3988 z8800 reiected 3988 z8804 x853 Iudah? 3063 hath thy soule 5315 loathed 1602 z8804 Zion? 6726 why x4069 hast thou smitten 5221 z8689 vs, and [there is] no x369 healing 4832 for vs? we looked 6960 z8763 for peace, 7965 and [there is] no x369 good, 2896 and for the time 6256 of healing, 4832 and behold x2009 trouble. 1205

 14:20 We acknowledge, 3045 z8804 O LORD, 3068 our wickednes, 7562 [and] the iniquitie 5771 of our fathers: 1 for x3588 wee haue sinned 2398 z8804 against thee.

 14:21 Do not x408 abhorre 5006 z8799 [vs], for thy Names y8034 sake, x4616 x8034 doe not x408 disgrace 5034 z8762 the Throne 3678 of thy glorie: 3519 remember, 2142 z8798 breake 6565 z8686 not x408 thy Couenant 1285 with x854 vs.

 14:22 Are there 3426 any among the vanities 1892 of the Gentiles 1471 that can cause raine? 1652 z8688 or x518 can the heauens 8064 giue 5414 z8799 showres, 7241 [Art] not x3808 thou x859 he, x1931 O LORD 3068 our God? 430 therefore we will waite 6960 z8762 vpon thee: for x3588 thou x859 hast made 6213 z8804 x853 all x3605 these x428 things.
