Deuteronomie 8

An exhortation to obedience in regard of God's dealing with them.

 8:1 ¶ All x3605 the commaundements 4687 which x834 I x595 commaund 6680 z8764 thee this day, 3117 shall yee obserue 8104 z8799 to doe, 6213 z8800 that x4616 yee may liue, 2421 z8799 and multiply, 7235 z8804 and goe in, 935 z8804 and possesse 3423 z8804 x853 the land 776 which x834 the LORD 3068 sware 7650 z8738 vnto your fathers. 1

 8:2 And thou shalt remember 2142 z8804 x853 all x3605 the way 1870 which x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 led y3212 z8689 x1980 thee these x2088 fourtie 705 yeeres 8141 in the wildernesse, 4057 to x4616 humble 6031 z8763 thee, and to proue 5254 z8763 thee, to know 3045 z8800 x853 what x834 was in thine heart, 3824 whether thou wouldest keepe 8104 z8799 his commandements, 4687 or x518 no. x3808

 8:3 And he humbled 6031 z8762 thee, and suffred thee to hunger, 7456 z8686 and fed 398 z8686 thee with x854 Manna, 4478 which x834 thou knewest 3045 z8804 not, x3808 neither x3808 did thy fathers 1 know: 3045 z8804 that x4616 he might make thee know, 3045 z8687 that x3588 man 120 doth not x3808 liue 2421 z8799 by x5921 bread 3899 onely, 905 but x3588 by x5921 euery x3605 word that proceedeth y4161 out x4161 of the mouth 6310 of the LORD 3068 doth man 120 liue. 2421 z8799

 8:4 Thy raiment 8071 waxed not old 1086 z8804 x3808 vpon x4480 x5921 thee, neither x3808 did thy foote 7272 swell 1216 z8804 these x2088 fourtie 705 yeeres. 8141

 8:5 Thou shalt also consider 3045 z8804 in 5973 thine heart, 3824 that x3588 as x834 a man 376 chasteneth 3256 z8762 x853 his son, 1121 so the LORD 3068 thy God 430 chasteneth 3256 z8764 thee.

 8:6 Therefore thou shalt keepe 8104 z8804 x853 the Commandements 4687 of the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 to walke y3212 z8800 x1980 in his wayes, 1870 and to feare 3372 z8800 him.

 8:7 For x3588 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 bringeth 935 z8688 thee into x413 a good 2896 land, 776 a lande 776 of brookes 5158 of water, 4325 of fountaines, 5869 and depths 8415 that spring out 3318 z8802 of valleys 1237 and hilles, 2022

 8:8 A land 776 of wheate, 2406 and barley, 8184 and vines, 1612 and fig trees, 8384 and pomegranats, 7416 a land 776 of oyle 8081 oliue, 2132 and hony, 1706

 8:9 A lande 776 wherein 834 thou shalt eate 398 z8799 bread 3899 without 3808 scarcenes, 4544 thou shalt not x3808 lacke 2637 z8799 any x3605 thing in it: a lande 776 whose x834 stones 68 are yron, 1270 and out of whose hils 2042 x4480 thou mayest digge 2672 z8799 brasse. 5178

 8:10 When thou hast eaten 398 z8804 and art full, 7646 z8804 then thou shalt blesse 1288 z8765 x853 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 for x5921 the good 2896 lande 776 which x834 hee hath giuen 5414 z8804 thee.

 8:11 Beware 8104 z8734 that thou forget y7911 z8799 not x6435 x7911 x853 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 in not x1115 keeping 8104 z8800 his Commandements, 4687 and his Iudgements, 4941 and his Statutes 2708 which x834 I x595 command 6680 z8764 thee this day: 3117

 8:12 Lest x6435 [when] thou hast eaten 398 z8799 and art full, 7646 z8804 and hast built 1129 z8799 goodly 2896 houses, 1004 and dwelt 3427 z8804 [therein];

 8:13 And [when] thy heards 1241 and thy flocks 6629 multiply, 7235 z8799 and thy siluer 3701 and thy gold 2091 is multiplied, 7235 z8799 and all x3605 that x834 thou hast is multiplied: 7235 z8799

 8:14 Then thine heart 3824 bee lifted vp, 7311 z8804 and thou forget 7911 z8804 x853 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 (which brought thee foorth 3318 z8688 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 from the house 1004 x4480 of bondage, 5650

 8:15 Who led y3212 z8688 x1980 thee through that great 1419 and terrible 3372 z8737 wildernesse, 4057 [wherein were] fierie 8314 serpents, 5175 and scorpions, 6137 & drought, 6774 where x834 there was no x369 water, 4325 who brought thee foorth 3318 z8688 water 4325 out of the rocke 6697 x4480 of flint, 2496

 8:16 Who fed 398 z8688 thee in the wildernesse 4057 with Manna, 4478 which x834 thy fathers 1 knew 3045 z8804 not, x3808 that x4616 hee might humble 6031 z8763 thee, and that x4616 hee might prooue 5254 z8763 thee, to doe thee good 3190 z8687 at thy latter end:) 319

 8:17 And thou say 559 z8804 in thine heart, 3824 My power, 3581 and the might 6108 of mine hand 3027 hath gotten 6213 z8804 me x853 this x2088 wealth. 2428

 8:18 But thou shalt remember 2142 z8804 x853 the LORD 3068 thy God: 430 for x3588 [it is] he x1931 that giueth 5414 z8802 thee power 3581 to get 6213 z8800 wealth, 2428 that x4616 he may establish 6965 z8687 x853 his Couenant, 1285 which x834 he sware 7650 z8738 vnto thy fathers, 1 as [it is] this x2088 day. 3117

 8:19 And it shalbe, x1961 if x518 thou doe at all y7911 z8800 forget 7911 z8799 x853 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 and walke 1980 z8804 after 310 other 312 gods, 430 and serue 5647 z8804 them, and worship 7812 z8694 them; I testifie 5749 z8689 against you this day, 3117 that x3588 ye shall surely y6 z8800 perish. 6 z8799

 8:20 As the nations 1471 which x834 the LORD 3068 destroyeth 6 z8688 before your face, 6440 x4480 so x3651 shall yee perish; 6 z8799 because 6118 ye would not x3808 be obedient 8085 z8799 vnto the voice 6963 of the LORD 3068 your God. 430
