Deuteronomie 21

1 The expiation of an uncertain murder. 10 The usage of a captive taken to wife. 15 The firstborn is not to be disinherited upon private affection. 18 A stubborn son is to be stoned to death. 22 The malefactor must not hang all night of a tree.

 21:1 ¶ If x3588 [one] bee found 4672 z8735 slaine 2491 in the lande, 127 which x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 giueth 5414 z8802 thee to possesse 3423 z8800 it, lying 5307 z8802 in the fielde, 7704 [and] it bee not x3808 knowen 3045 z8738 who x4310 hath slaine 5221 z8689 him:

 21:2 Then thy Elders 2205 and thy Iudges 8199 z8802 shall come forth, 3318 z8804 and they shall measure 4058 z8804 vnto x413 the cities 5892 which x834 [are] round about 5439 him that is slaine. 2491

 21:3 And it shall be x1961 that the citie 5892 which is next 7138 vnto x413 the slaine man, 2491 euen the Elders 2205 of that x1931 citie 5892 shall take 3947 z8804 an heifer 1241 5697 which x834 hath not x3808 bene wrought x5647 with, y5647 z8795 [and] which x834 hath not x3808 drawen 4900 z8804 in the yoke. 5923

 21:4 And the Elders 2205 of that x1931 citie 5892 shall bring downe 3381 z8689 x853 the heifer 5697 vnto x413 a rough 386 valley, 5158 which x834 is neither x3808 eared 5647 z8735 nor x3808 sowen, 2232 z8735 and shall strike off y6202 z0 x6203 x853 the heifers 5697 necke y6202 z8804 x6203 there x8033 in the valley. 5158

 21:5 And the Priests 3548 the sonnes 1121 of Leui 3878 shall come neere 5066 z8738 (for x3588 them the LORD 3068 thy God 430 hath chosen 977 z8804 to minister 8334 z8763 vnto him, and to blesse 1288 z8763 in the Name 8034 of the LORD:) 3068 and by x5921 their worde 6310 shall euery x3605 controuersie 7379 and euery x3605 stroke 5061 bee x1961 [tried].

 21:6 And all x3605 the Elders 2205 of that x1931 city 5892 that are next 7138 vnto x413 the slaine 2491 man, shal wash 7364 z8799 x853 their hands 3027 ouer x5921 the heifer 5697 that is beheaded 6202 z8803 in the valley. 5158

 21:7 And they shall answere, 6030 z8804 and say, 559 z8804 Our hands 3027 haue not x3808 shedde 8210 z8804 x853 this x2088 blood, 1818 neither x3808 haue our eyes 5869 seene 7200 z8804 [it].

 21:8 Be merciful, 3722 z8761 O LORD, 3068 vnto thy people 5971 Israel, 3478 whom x834 thou hast redeemed, 6299 z8804 and lay 5414 z8799 not x408 innocent 5355 blood 1818 vnto thy people 5971 of Israels 3478 charge, 7130 and the blood 1818 shall be forgiuen 3722 z8694 them.

 21:9 So shalt thou x859 put away 1197 z8762 the [guilt of] innocent 5355 blood 1818 from among 7130 x4480 you, when x3588 thou shalt do 6213 z8799 that which is right 3477 in the sight 5869 of the LORD. 3068

 21:10 ¶ When x3588 thou goest forth 3318 z8799 to warre 4421 against x5921 thine enemies, 341 z8802 and the LORD 3068 thy God 430 hath deliuered 5414 z8804 them into thine hands, 3027 & thou hast taken 7617 z8804 them captiue, 7628

 21:11 And seest 7200 z8804 among the captiues 7633 a beautifull 8389 y3303 x3033 woman, 802 and hast a desire 2836 z8804 vnto her, that thou wouldest haue x3947 her y3947 z8804 to thy wife: 802

 21:12 Then thou shalt bring 935 z8689 her home 8432 to thine house, 1004 and shee shall shaue 1548 z8765 x853 her head, 7218 and pare 6213 z8804 x853 her nailes. 6856

 21:13 And shee shall put 5493 z8689 x853 the raiment 8071 of her captiuitie 7628 from off x4480 x5921 her, and shall remaine 3427 z8804 in thine house, 1004 and bewaile 1058 z8804 x853 her father 1 and her mother 517 a full 3117 moneth: 3391 and after 310 that, x3651 thou shalt go y935 z8799 in x935 vnto x413 her and be her husband, y1166 z8804 x1167 and she shall be x1961 thy wife. 802

 21:14 And it shall be x1961 if x518 thou haue no delight 2654 z8804 x3808 in her, then thou shalt let her goe 7971 z8765 whither she will, 5315 but thou shalt not x3808 sell y4376 z8799 her at al 4376 z8800 for money, 3701 thou shalt not x3808 make merchandize 6014 z8691 of her, because 834 x8478 thou hast humbled 6031 z8765 her.

 21:15 ¶ If x3588 a man 376 haue x1961 two 8147 wiues, 802 one 259 beloued 157 z8803 and another 259 hated, 8130 z8803 and they haue borne 3205 z8804 him children, 1121 [both] the beloned, 157 z8803 and the hated: 8130 z8803 and if the first borne 1060 sonne 1121 be x1961 hers that was hated: 8146

 21:16 Then it shall be, x1961 when 3117 he maketh x853 his sonnes 1121 to inherite 5157 z8687 x853 that which x834 hee hath, x1961 that he may 3201 z8799 not x3808 make x1069 x853 the sonne 1121 of the beloued, 157 z8803 first borne, 1069 z8763 before 6440 x5921 the sonne 1121 of the hated, 8130 z8803 [which is] indeed the first borne: 1060

 21:17 But x3588 hee shall acknowledge 5234 z8686 the sonne 1121 of the hated 8130 z8803 x853 for the first borne, 1060 by giuing 5414 z8800 him a double 8147 portion 6310 of all x3605 that x834 hee hath: 4672 z8735 for x3588 hee x1931 is the beginning 7225 of his strength; 202 the right 4941 of the first borne 1062 is his.

 21:18 ¶ If x3588 a man 376 haue x1961 a stubborne 5637 z8802 and rebellious 4784 z8802 sonne, 1121 which will not x369 obey 8085 z8802 the voice 6963 of his father, 1 or the voice 6963 of his mother, 517 and that when they haue chastened 3256 z8765 him, wil not x3808 hearken 8085 z8799 vnto x413 them:

 21:19 Then shall his father 1 and his mother 517 lay hold 8610 z8804 on him, and bring him out 3318 z8689 x853 vnto x413 the Elders 2205 of his citie, 5892 and vnto x413 the gate 8179 of his place: 4725

 21:20 And they shall say 559 z8804 vnto x413 the Elders 2205 of his citie, 5892 This x2088 our sonne 1121 [is] stubborne, 5637 z8802 and rebellious, 4784 z8802 hee will not x369 obey 8085 z8802 our voice: 6963 he [is] a glutton, 2151 z8802 & a drunkard. 5433 z8802

 21:21 And all x3605 the men y582 x376 of his city 5892 shall stone 7275 z8804 him with stones, 68 that hee die: 4191 z8804 so shalt thou put y1197 z0 euill y7451 away 1197 z8765 x7451 from among 7130 x4480 you, and all x3605 Israel 3478 shall heare, 8085 z8799 & feare. 3372 z8799

 21:22 ¶ And if x3588 a man 376 haue committed x1961 a sinne 2399 worthy x4941 of y4941 death, 4194 and he be to be put to death, 4191 z8717 and thou hang 8518 z8804 him on x5921 a tree: 6086

 21:23 His body 5038 shall not x3808 remaine all night 3885 z8799 vpon x5921 the tree, 6086 but x3588 thou shalt in any wise y6912 z8800 bury 6912 z8799 him that x1931 day: 3117 for x3588 he that is hanged, 8518 z8803 is accursed 7045 of God: 430 that x853 thy land 127 be not x3808 defiled, 2930 z8762 which x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 giueth 5414 z8802 thee for an inheritance. 5159
