Deuteronomie 7

1 All communion with the nations is forbidden, 4 for fear of idolatry, 6 for the holiness of the people, 9 for the nature of God in his mercy and justice, 17 for the assuredness of victory which God will give over them.

 7:1 ¶ When x3588 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 shall bring 935 z8686 thee into x413 the land 776 whither x834 x8033 thou x859 goest 935 z8802 to possesse 3423 z8800 it, and hath cast out 5394 z8804 many 7227 nations 1471 before 6440 x4480 thee, the [Hittites], 2850 and the Girgashites, 1622 and the Amorites, 567 and the Canaanites, 3669 and the Perizzites, 6522 and the Hiuites, 2340 and the Iebusites, 2983 seuen 7651 nations 1471 greater 7227 and mightier 6099 then x4480 thou:

 7:2 And [when] the LORD 3068 thy God 430 shall deliuer 5414 z8804 them before 6440 thee, thou shalt smite 5221 z8689 them, and vtterly y2763 z8687 destroy 2763 z8686 them, thou shalt make 3772 z8799 no x3808 couenant 1285 with them, nor x3808 shew mercy 2603 z8799 vnto them.

 7:3 Neither x3808 shalt thou make marriages 2859 z8691 with them: thy daughter 1323 thou shalt not x3808 giue 5414 z8799 vnto his sonne, 1121 nor x3808 his daughter 1323 shalt thou take 3947 z8799 vnto thy sonne. 1121

 7:4 For x3588 they will turne away 5493 z8686 x853 thy sonne 1121 from following 310 x4480 mee, that they may serue 5647 z8804 other 312 gods: 430 so will the anger 639 of the LORD 3068 be kindled 2734 z8804 against you, and destroy 8045 z8689 thee suddenly. 4118

 7:5 But x3588 x518 thus x3541 shal ye deale 6213 z8799 with them; ye shall destroy 5422 z8799 their altars, 4196 and breake downe 7665 z8762 their images, 4676 and cut downe 1438 z8762 their groues, 842 and burne 8313 z8799 their grauen images 6456 with fire. 784

 7:6 For x3588 thou x859 art an holy 6918 people 5971 vnto the LORD 3068 thy God: 430 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 hath chosen 977 z8804 thee to be x1961 a special 5459 people 5971 vnto himselfe, aboue all x4480 x3605 people 5971 that x834 are vpon x5921 the face 6440 of the earth. 127

 7:7 The LORD 3068 did not x3808 set his loue 2836 z8804 vpon you, nor choose 977 z8799 you, because yee were moe y7230 in number x4480 x7230 then any x4480 x3605 people: 5971 (for x3588 ye x859 were the fewest 4592 of all x4480 x3605 people,) 5971

 7:8 But x3588 because the LORD 3068 loued 160 x4480 you, and because hee would keepe 8104 z8800 x4480 x853 the othe 7621 which x834 hee had sworne 7650 z8738 vnto your fathers, 1 hath the LORD 3068 brought you out 3318 z8689 x853 with a mighty 2389 hand, 3027 and redeemed 6299 z8799 you out of the house 1004 x4480 of bondmen, 5650 from the hand 3027 x4480 of Pharaoh 6547 king 4428 of Egypt. 4714

 7:9 Know 3045 z8804 therefore that x3588 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 he x1931 is God, 430 the faithfull 539 z8737 God, 410 which keepeth 8104 z8802 Couenant 1285 and Mercy 2617 with them that loue 157 z8802 him, and keepe 8104 z8802 his Commandements, 4687 to a thousand 505 generations; 1755

 7:10 And repaieth 7999 z8764 them that hate 8130 z8802 him to x413 their face, 6440 to destroy 6 z8687 them: he wil not x3808 be slacke 309 z8762 to him that hateth 8130 z8802 him, he will repay 7999 z8762 him to x413 his face. 6440

 7:11 Thou shalt therefore keepe 8104 z8804 x853 the Commandements, 4687 and the Statutes, 2706 and the Iudgements, 4941 which x834 I x595 command 6680 z8764 thee this day, 3117 to doe 6213 z8800 them.

 7:12 ¶ Wherefore it shal come to passe, x1961 if 6118 ye hearken 8085 z8799 x853 to these x428 iudgements, 4941 and keepe 8104 z8804 and do 6213 z8804 them: That the LORD 3068 thy God 430 shall keepe 8104 z8804 vnto thee x853 the Couenant 1285 and the Mercy 2617 which x834 he sware 7650 z8738 vnto thy fathers. 1

 7:13 And hee will loue 157 z8804 thee, and blesse 1288 z8765 thee, and multiply 7235 z8689 thee: Hee will also blesse 1288 z8765 the fruit 6529 of thy wombe, 990 and the fruit 6529 of thy land, 127 thy corne, 1715 and thy wine, 8492 and thine oile, 3323 the encrease 7698 of thy kine, 504 and the flockes 6251 of thy sheepe, 6629 in x5921 the land 127 which x834 hee sware 7650 z8738 vnto thy fathers 1 to giue 5414 z8800 thee.

 7:14 Thou shalt bee x1961 blessed 1288 z8803 aboue all x4480 x3605 people: 5971 there shall not x3808 bee x1961 male 6135 or female barren 6135 among you or among your cattell. 929

 7:15 And the LORD 3068 will take away 5493 z8689 from x4480 thee all x3605 sickenesse, 2483 and will put 7760 z8799 none x3605 x3808 of the euill 7451 diseases 4064 of Egypt 4714 (which x834 thou knowest) 3045 z8804 vpon thee: but will lay 5414 z8804 them vpon all x3605 them that hate y8130 z8802 x130 thee.

 7:16 And thou shalt consume 398 z8804 x853 all x3605 the people 5971 which x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 shall deliuer 5414 z8802 thee: thine eye 5869 shall haue no pitie 2347 z8799 x3808 vpon x5921 them, neither x3808 shalt thou serue 5647 z8799 x853 their gods, 430 for x3588 that x1931 will be a snare 4170 vnto thee.

 7:17 If x3588 thou shalt say 559 z8799 in thine heart, 3824 These x428 nations 1471 are moe 7227 then x4480 I, howe 349 can 3201 z8799 I dispossesse 3423 z8687 them?

 7:18 Thou shalt not x3808 be afraid 3372 z8799 of x4480 them: but shalt well y2142 z8800 remember, 2142 z8799 x853 what x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 did 6213 z8804 vnto Pharaoh, 6547 and vnto all x3605 Egypt, 4714

 7:19 The great 1419 temptations 4531 which x834 thine eyes 5869 sawe, 7200 z8804 and the signes 226 and the wonders, 4159 and the mightie 2389 hand, 3027 and the stretched out 5186 z8803 arme, 2220 whereby x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 brought thee out: 3318 z8689 so x3651 shall the LORD 3068 thy God 430 doe 6213 z8799 vnto all x3605 the people 5971 of whom x834 thou x859 art afraid. 6440 y3373 x3372 x4480

 7:20 Moreouer, x1571 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 will send 7971 z8762 x853 the hornet 6880 among them, vntill x5704 they that are left 7604 z8737 and hide y5641 z8737 themselues x5641 from 6440 x4480 thee, be destroyed. 6 z8800

 7:21 Thou shalt not x3808 bee affrighted 6206 z8799 at 6440 x4480 them: for x3588 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 is among 7130 you, a mightie 1419 God, 410 and terrible. 3372 z8737

 7:22 And the LORD 3068 thy God 430 will put out 5394 z8804 x853 those 411 nations 1471 before 6440 x4480 thee by litle 4592 and litle: 4592 thou mayest 3201 z8799 not x3808 consume 3615 z8763 them at once, 4118 lest x6435 the beastes 2416 of the field 7704 increase 7235 z8799 vpon x5921 thee.

 7:23 But the LORD 3068 thy God 430 shall deliuer 5414 z8804 them vnto x6440 thee, y6440 and shall destroy 1949 z8804 them with a mightie 1419 destruction, 4103 vntill x5704 they be destroyed. 8045 z8736

 7:24 And he shall deliuer 5414 z8804 their kings 4428 into thine hand, 3027 and thou shalt destroy 6 z8689 x853 their name 8034 from vnder x4480 x8478 heauen: 8064 There shal no x3808 man 376 be able to stand 3320 z8691 before 6440 thee, vntil x5704 thou haue destroyed 8045 z8687 them.

 7:25 The grauen images 6456 of their gods 430 shall yee burne 8313 z8799 with fire: 784 thou shalt not x3808 desire 2530 z8799 the siluer 3701 or golde 2091 that is on x5921 them, nor take 3947 z8804 it vnto thee, lest x6435 thou bee snared 3369 z8735 therein: for x3588 it x1931 is an abomination 8441 to the LORD 3068 thy God. 430

 7:26 Neither x3808 shalt thou bring 935 z8686 an abomination 8441 into x413 thine house, 1004 lest thou bee x1961 a cursed thing 2764 like it: x3644 but thou shalt vtterly y8262 z8763 detest 8262 z8762 it, and thou shalt vtterly y8581 z8763 abhorre 8581 z8762 it, for x3588 it x1931 is a cursed thing. 2764
