Ezekiel 8

1 Ezekiel, in a vision of God at Jerusalem, 5 is shewed the image of jealousy, 7 the chambers of imagery, 13 the mourners for Tammuz, 15 the worshippers toward the sun. 18 God's wrath for their idolatry.

 8:1 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 in the sixt 8345 yeere, 8141 in the sixt 8345 [moneth], in the fift 2568 [day] of the month, 2320 as I x589 sate 3427 z8802 in mine house, 1004 and the elders 2205 of Iudah 3063 sate 3427 z8802 before 6440 me; that the hand 3027 of the Lord 136 GOD 3069 fell 5307 z8799 there x8033 vpon x5921 me.

 8:2 Then I beheld, 7200 z8799 and loe, x2009 a likenesse 1823 as the appearance 4758 of fire: 784 from the appearance 4758 x4480 of his loines 4975 euen downeward, 4295 fire: 784 and from his loines 4975 x4480 euen vpward, 4605 as the appearance 4758 of brightnesse, 2096 as the colour 5869 of amber. 2830

 8:3 And he put forth 7971 z8799 the forme 8403 of an hand, 3027 and tooke 3947 z8799 me by a locke 6734 of mine head, 7218 and the spirit 7307 lift me vp 5375 z8799 x853 betweene x996 the earth 776 and the heauen, 8064 and brought 935 z8686 me in the visions 4759 of God 430 to Ierusalem, 3389 to x413 the doore 6607 of the inner 6442 gate, 8179 that looketh 6437 z8802 toward the North, 6828 where x834 x8033 [was] the seate 4186 of the image 5566 of ielousie, 7068 which prouoketh to ielousie. y7069 z8688 x7065

 8:4 And behold, x2009 the glory 3519 of the God 430 of Israel 3478 [was] there x8033 according to the vision 4758 that x834 I saw 7200 z8804 in the plaine. 1237

 8:5 ¶ Then said 559 z8799 he vnto x413 me, Sonne 1121 of man, 120 lift vp 5375 z8798 thine eyes 5869 now x4994 the way 1870 towards the North: 6828 so I lift vp 5375 z8799 mine eyes 5869 the way 1870 toward the North, 6828 and behold, x2009 Northward 6828 x4480 at the gate 8179 of the altar, 4196 this x2088 image 5566 of ielousie 7068 in the entry. 872

 8:6 He said 559 z8799 furthermore vnto x413 me, Sonne 1121 of man, 120 seest 7200 z8802 thou x859 what x4100 they x1992 doe? 6213 z8802 [euen] the great 1419 abominations 8441 that x834 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 committeth 6213 z8802 heere, x6311 that I should goe farre off 7368 z8800 from x4480 x5921 my sanctuarie? 4720 but turne y7725 z8799 thee yet againe, x7725 x5750 [and] thou shalt see 7200 z8799 greater 1419 abominations. 8441

 8:7 ¶ And hee brought 935 z8686 me to x413 the doore 6607 of the court, 2691 and when I looked, 7200 z8799 behold x2009 a 259 hole 2356 in the wall. 7023

 8:8 Then said 559 z8799 he vnto x413 me, Sonne 1121 of man, 120 digge 2864 z8798 now x4994 in the wall: 7023 and when I had digged 2864 z8799 in the wall, 7023 behold x2009 a 259 doore. 6607

 8:9 And he said 559 z8799 vnto x413 me, Goe in, 935 z8798 and behold 7200 z8798 x853 the wicked 7451 abominations 8441 that x834 they x1992 doe 6213 z8802 heere. x6311

 8:10 So I went in 935 z8799 and saw, 7200 z8799 and behold x2009 euery x3605 forme 8403 of creeping things, 7431 and abominable 8263 beasts, 929 and all x3605 the idols 1544 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478 purtrayed 2707 z8794 vpon x5921 the wall 7023 round about. 5439

 8:11 And there stood 5975 z8802 before 6440 them seuentie 7657 men 376 of the ancients 2205 x4480 of the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 and in the middest 8432 of them stood 5975 z8802 Iaazaniah 2970 the sonne 1121 of Shaphan, 8227 with euery man 376 his censer 4730 in his hand, 3027 and a thicke 6282 cloud 6051 of incense 7004 went vp. 5927 z8802

 8:12 Then said 559 z8799 he vnto x413 me, Sonne 1121 of man, 120 hast thou seene 7200 z8804 what x834 the ancients 2205 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478 doe 6213 z8802 in the darke, 2822 euery man 376 in the chambers 2315 of his imagery? 4906 for x3588 they say, 559 z8802 The LORD 3068 seeth 7200 z8802 vs not, x369 the LORD 3068 hath forsaken 5800 z8804 x853 the earth. 776

 8:13 ¶ Hee said 559 z8799 also vnto x413 me, Turne y7725 z8799 thee yet againe, x7725 x5750 [and] thou shalt see 7200 z8799 greater 1419 abominations 8441 that x834 they x1992 doe. 6213 z8802

 8:14 Then he brought 935 z8686 me to x413 the doore 6607 of the gate 8179 of the LORDS 3068 house 1004 which x834 [was] towards x413 the North, 6828 and behold, x2009 there x8033 sate 3427 z8802 women 802 weeping 1058 z8764 for x854 Tammuz. 8542

 8:15 ¶ Then said 559 z8799 hee vnto x413 me, Hast thou seene 7200 z8804 [this], O sonne 1121 of man? 120 Turne y7725 z8799 thee yet againe, x7725 x5750 [and] thou shalt see 7200 z8799 greater 1419 abominations 8441 then these. x4480 x428

 8:16 And he brought 935 z8686 me into x413 the inner 6442 court 2691 of the LORDS 3068 house, 1004 and behold x2009 at the doore 6607 of the Temple 1964 of the LORD, 3068 betweene x996 the porch 197 and the altar, 4196 [were] about fiue 2568 and twentie 6242 men, 376 with their backes 268 toward x413 the temple 1964 of the LORD, 3068 and their faces 6440 towards the East, 6924 and they x1992 worshipped 7812 z8693 the sunne 8121 towards the East. 6924

 8:17 ¶ Then he said 559 z8799 vnto x413 me, Hast thou seene 7200 z8804 [this], O sonne 1121 of man? 120 Is it a light thing 7043 z8738 to the house 1004 of Iudah, 3063 that they commit 6213 z8800 x4480 x853 the abominations, 8441 which x834 they commit 6213 z8804 heere? x6311 for x3588 they haue filled 4390 z8804 x853 the land 776 with violence, 2555 and haue returned 7725 z8799 to prouoke me to anger: 3707 z8687 and loe, x2009 they put 7971 z8802 x853 the branch 2156 to x413 their nose. 639

 8:18 Therefore will I x589 also x1571 deale 6213 z8799 in furie: 2534 mine eye 5869 shall not x3808 spare, 2347 z8799 neither x3808 will I haue pitie: 2550 z8799 and though they crie 7121 z8804 in mine eares 241 with a loud 1419 voyce, 6963 [yet] will I not x3808 heare 8085 z8799 them.
