Ezekiel 21

1 Ezekiel prophesieth against Jerusalem with a sign of sighing. 8 The sharp and bright sword, 18 against Jerusalem, 25 against the kingdom, 28 and against the Ammonites.

 21:1 ¶ And the word 1697 of ye LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 21:2 Sonne 1121 of man, 120 set 7760 z8798 thy face 6440 toward x413 Ierusalem, 3389 and drop 5197 z8685 [thy word] toward x413 the holy places, 4720 and prophecie 5012 z8734 against x413 the land 127 of Israel, 3478

 21:3 And say 559 z8804 to ye land 127 of Israel, 3478 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Behold, x2009 I [am] against x413 thee, and will draw forth 3318 z8689 my sword 2719 out of his sheath, 8593 x4480 and will cut off 3772 z8689 from x4480 thee the righteous 6662 and the wicked. 7563

 21:4 Seeing y3282 then x3282 that x834 I will cut off 3772 z8689 from x4480 thee the righteous 6662 and the wicked, 7563 therefore x3651 shall my sword 2719 goe forth 3318 z8799 out of his sheath 8593 x4480 against x413 all x3605 flesh 1320 from the South 5045 x4480 to the North: 6828

 21:5 That all x3605 flesh 1320 may know, 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 the LORD 3068 haue drawen foorth 3318 z8689 my sword 2719 out of his sheath: 8593 x4480 it shall not x3808 returne 7725 z8799 any more. x5750

 21:6 Sigh 584 z8734 therefore thou x859 sonne 1121 of man 120 with the breaking 7670 of [thy] loynes, 4975 and with bitternesse 4814 sigh 584 z8735 before their eyes. 5869

 21:7 And it shall be, x1961 when x3588 they say 559 z8799 vnto x413 thee; Wherefore x5921 x4100 sighest 584 z8737 thou? x859 that thou shalt answere, 559 z8804 For x413 the tidings, 8052 because x3588 it commeth: 935 z8802 and euery x3605 heart 3820 shall melt, 4549 z8738 and all x3605 hands 3027 shalbe feeble, 7503 z8804 and euery x3605 spirit 7307 shal faint, 3543 z8765 and all x3605 knees 1290 shal be weake y3212 z8799 x1980 [as] water: 4325 behold, x2009 it commeth, 935 z8802 and shalbe brought to passe, 1961 z8738 sayth 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

 21:8 ¶ Againe, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 21:9 Sonne 1121 of man, 120 prophecie 5012 z8734 and say, 559 z8804 Thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD, y3068 x136 Say, 559 z8798 A sword, 2719 a sword 2719 is sharpened, 2300 z8717 and also x1571 fourbished. 4803 z8803

 21:10 It is sharpened 2300 z8717 to x4616 make a sore y2874 slaughter; 2873 z8800 x2874 it is fourbished, y4178 z8794 x4803 that x4616 it may glitter: 1300 x1961 should y176 we then x176 make mirth? 7797 z8799 It contemneth 3988 z8802 the rod 7626 of my sonne, 1121 [as] euery x3605 tree. 6086

 21:11 And he hath giuen 5414 z8799 it to be fourbished, 4803 z8800 that it may be handled: 3709 8610 z8800 this x1931 sword 2719 is sharpened, 2300 z8717 and it x1931 is fourbished y4178 z8794 x4803 to giue 5414 z8800 it into the hand 3027 of the slayer. 2026 z8802

 21:12 Cry 2199 z8798 and howle, 3213 z8685 sonne 1121 of man, 120 for x3588 it x1931 shalbe x1961 vpon my people, 5971 it x1931 [shalbe] vpon all x3605 the princes 5387 of Israel: 3478 terrours, 4048 z8803 by reason of 413 the sword, 2719 shall be x1961 vpon x854 my people: 5971 smite 5606 z8798 therefore x3651 vpon x413 [thy] thigh. 3409

 21:13 Because x3588 it is a tryall, 974 z8795 and what x4100 if x518 [the sword] contemne 3988 z8802 euen x1571 the rodde? 7626 it shall be x1961 no x3808 [more], sayth 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

 21:14 Thou x859 therefore sonne 1121 of man, 120 prophecie 5012 z8734 and smite y5221 z0 thine hands 3709 together, 5221 3709 z8685 x413 and let the sword 2719 bee doubled 3717 z8735 the third y7992 time, x7992 the sword 2719 of the slaine, 2491 it x1931 [is] the sword 2719 of the great 1419 men, that are slaine, 2491 which entreth into their priuie chambers. 2314 z8802

 21:15 I haue set 5414 z8804 the point 19 of the sword 2719 against x5921 all x3605 their gates, 8179 that x4616 [their] heart 3820 may faint, 4127 z8800 and their ruines 4383 be multiplied. 7235 z8687 Ah, 253 it is made y6213 z8803 bright, 1300 x6213 it is wrapt vp 4593 for the slaughter. 2874

 21:16 Goe thee one way or other, 258 z8690 either on y7760 z8685 the right hand, 3231 z8685 or on the left, 8041 z8685 whithersoeuer 575 thy face 6440 is set. 3259 z8716

 21:17 I x589 will also x1571 smite 5221 z8686 mine hands y3709 together, 3709 x413 and I wil cause my furie 2534 to rest: 5117 z8689 I x589 the LORD 3068 haue sayd 1696 z8765 [it].

 21:18 ¶ The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me againe, saying, 559 z8800

 21:19 Also thou x859 sonne 1121 of man, 120 appoint 7760 z8798 thee two 8147 wayes, 1870 that the sword 2719 of the king 4428 of Babylon 894 may come: 935 z8800 both twaine 8147 shall come forth 3318 z8799 out of one y259 land: 776 x4480 x259 and choose 1254 z8761 thou a place, 3027 choose 1254 z8761 it at the head 7218 of the way 1870 to the citie. 5892

 21:20 Appoint 7760 z8799 a way, 1870 that the sword 2719 may come 935 z8800 to x854 Rabbath 7237 of the Ammonites, 1121 5983 and to x854 Iudah 3063 in Ierusalem 3389 the defenced. 1219 z8803

 21:21 For x3588 the king 4428 of Babylon 894 stood 5975 z8804 at x413 the parting 517 of the way, 1870 at the head 7218 of the two 8147 wayes, 1870 to vse 7080 z8800 diuination: 7081 he made his arrowes y2671 bright, 7043 z8773 x2671 he consulted 7592 z8804 with images, 8655 he looked 7200 z8804 in the liuer. 3516

 21:22 At his right hand 3225 was x1961 the diuination 7081 for Ierusalem 3389 to appoint 7760 z8800 captaines, 3733 to open 6605 z8800 the mouth 6310 in the slaughter, 7524 to lift vp 7311 z8687 the voice 6963 with shouting, 8643 to appoint 7760 z8800 [battering-rammes] 3733 against x5921 the gates, 8179 to cast 8210 z8800 a mount 5550 [and] to build 1129 z8800 a fort. 1785

 21:23 And it shall be x1961 vnto them as a false 7723 diuination 7080 z8800 in their sight, 5869 to them that haue sworne 7650 z8803 oathes: 7621 but he x1931 will call to remembrance 2142 z8688 the iniquitie, 5771 that they may be taken. 8610 z8736

 21:24 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 Because x3282 yee haue made your iniquitie 5771 to be remembred, 2142 z8687 in that your transgressions 6588 are discouered, 1540 z8736 so that in all x3605 your doings 5949 your sinnes 2403 doe appeare: 7200 z8736 because, x3282 [I say], that yee are come to remembrance, 2142 z8736 yee shall be taken 8610 z8735 with the hand. 3709

 21:25 ¶ And thou x859 prophane 2491 wicked 7563 prince 5387 of Israel, 3478 whose x834 day 3117 is come, 935 z8804 when 6256 iniquitie 5771 [shall haue] an end, 7093

 21:26 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 Remoue 5493 z8685 the diademe, 4701 and take off 7311 z8685 the crowne: 5850 this x2063 [shall] not x3808 [be] the same: 2063 exalt 1361 z8687 him that is low, 8217 and abase 8213 z8687 him that is high. 1364

 21:27 I will x7760 ouerturne, 5754 ouerturne, 5754 ouerturne 5754 it, and x1571 it x2063 shall be y7760 z8799 x1961 no x3808 more, vntill x5704 he come, 935 z8800 whose x834 right 4941 it is, and I wil giue 5414 z8804 it him.

 21:28 ¶ And thou x859 sonne 1121 of man, 120 prophecie, 5012 z8734 and say, 559 z8804 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD 3069 concerning x413 the Ammonites, 1121 5983 and concerning x413 their reproch: 2781 Euen say 559 z8804 thou; The sword, 2719 the sword 2719 [is] drawen, 6605 z8803 for the slaughter 2874 it [is] fourbished, 4803 z8803 to consume y398 z8687 x3557 because of x4616 the glittering: 1300

 21:29 Whiles they see 2372 z8800 vanitie 7723 vnto thee, whiles they diuine 7080 z8800 a lie 3577 vnto thee, to bring 5414 z8800 thee vpon x413 the necks 6677 of them that are slaine, 2491 of the wicked 7563 whose x834 day y3117 x3119 is come, 935 z8804 when 6256 their iniquitie 5771 [shall haue] an end. 7093

 21:30 Shall I cause it to returne 7725 z8685 into x413 his sheath? 8593 I will iudge 8199 z8799 thee in the place 4725 where x834 thou wast created, 1254 z8738 in the land 776 of thy natiuitie. 4351

 21:31 And I will powre out 8210 z8804 mine indignation 2195 vpon x5921 thee, I will blow 6315 z8686 against x5921 thee in the fire 784 of my wrath, 5678 and deliuer 5414 z8804 thee into the hand 3027 of brutish 1197 z8802 men y582 x376 [and] skilfull 2796 to destroy. 4889

 21:32 Thou shalt be x1961 for fuell 402 to the fire: 784 thy blood 1818 shall be x1961 in the middest 8432 of the land, 776 thou shalt be no x3808 [more] remembred: 2142 z8735 for x3588 I x589 the LORD 3068 haue spoken 1696 z8765 [it].
