Ezekiel 14

1 God answereth idolaters according to their own heart. 6 They are exhorted to repent, for fear of judgments, by means of seduced prophets. 12 God's irrevocable sentence of famine, 15 of noisome beasts, 17 of the sword, 19 and of pestilence. 22 A remnant shall be reserved for example of others.

 14:1 ¶ Then came 935 z8799 certaine y582 x376 of the Elders 2205 x4480 of Israel 3478 vnto x413 me, and sate 3427 z8799 before 6440 me.

 14:2 And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 14:3 Sonne 1121 of man, 120 these x428 men y582 x376 haue set vp 5927 z8689 their idoles 1544 in x5921 their heart, 3820 and put 5414 z8804 the stumbling blocke 4383 of their iniquitie 5771 before 5227 their face: 6440 should I be enquired y1875 z8735 of at all 1875 z8736 by them?

 14:4 Therefore x3651 speake 1696 z8761 vnto them, and say 559 z8804 vnto x413 them, Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD; 3069 Euery man 376 of the house 1004 x4480 of Israel 3478 that x834 setteth vp 5927 z8686 x853 his idoles 1544 in x413 his heart, 3820 and putteth 7760 z8799 the stumbling blocke 4383 of his iniquitie 5771 before 5227 his face, 6440 and commeth 935 z8804 to x413 the Prophet, 5030 I x589 the LORD 3068 will answere 6030 z8738 him that commeth, 935 z8804 according to the multitude 7230 of his idoles, 1544

 14:5 That x4616 I may take 8610 z8800 x853 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 in their owne heart, 3820 because x834 they are all x3605 estranged 2114 z8738 from x4480 x5921 mee through their idoles. 1544

 14:6 ¶ Therefore x3651 say 559 z8798 vnto x413 the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 Repent, 7725 z8798 and turne 7725 z8685 your selues from x4480 x5921 your idoles, 1544 and turne away 7725 z8685 your faces 6440 from x4480 x5921 all x3605 your abominations. 8441

 14:7 For x3588 euery one 376 of the house 1004 x4480 of Israel, 3478 or of the stranger 1616 x4480 that x834 soiourneth 1481 z8799 in Israel, 3478 which separateth y5144 z8735 himselfe x5144 from x4480 x310 me, y310 and setteth vp 5927 z8799 his idols 1544 in x413 his heart, 3820 and putteth 7760 z8799 the stumbling blocke 4383 of his iniquitie 5771 before 5227 his face, 6440 and commeth 935 z8804 to x413 a prophet 5030 to enquire 1875 z8800 of him concerning me, I x589 the LORD 3068 will answere 6030 z8737 him by my [selfe].

 14:8 And I wil set 5414 z8804 my face 6440 against that x1931 man, 376 and will make y8074 z8689 x7760 him a signe 226 and a prouerbe, 4912 and I will cut him off 3772 z8689 from the midst 8432 x4480 of my people, 5971 and yee shall know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 [am] the LORD. 3068

 14:9 And if x3588 the prophet 5030 bee deceiued 6601 z8792 when hee hath spoken 1696 z8765 a thing, 1697 I x589 the LORD 3068 haue deceiued 6601 z8765 x853 that x1931 prophet, 5030 and I will stretch out 5186 z8804 x853 my hand 3027 vpon x5921 him, and will destroy 8045 z8689 him from the midst 8432 x4480 of my people 5971 Israel. 3478

 14:10 And they shall beare 5375 z8804 the punishment of their iniquitie: 5771 the punishment 5771 of the prophet 5030 shall bee x1961 euen as the punishment 5771 of him that seeketh 1875 z8802 vnto him:

 14:11 That x4616 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 may goe no x3808 more x5750 astray 8582 z8799 from x4480 x310 me, y310 neither x3808 be polluted 2930 z8691 any more x5750 with all x3605 their transgressions; 6588 but that they may be x1961 my people, 5971 and I x589 may bee x1961 their God, 430 sayeth 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

 14:12 ¶ The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 againe to x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 14:13 Sonne 1121 of man, 120 when x3588 the land 776 sinneth 2398 z8799 against mee by trespassing 4603 z8800 grieuously, 4604 then will I stretch out 5186 z8804 mine hand 3027 vpon x5921 it, and will breake 7665 z8804 the staffe 4294 of the bread 3899 thereof, and will send 7971 z8689 famine 7458 vpon it, and will cut off 3772 z8689 man 120 and beast 929 from x4480 it.

 14:14 Though these x428 three 7969 men, y582 x376 Noah, 5146 Daniel 1840 and Iob 347 were x1961 in x8432 it, y8432 they x1992 should deliuer 5337 z8762 [but] their owne soules 5315 by their righteousnes, 6666 saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

 14:15 ¶ If 3863 I cause noisome 7451 beastes 2416 to passe x5674 through y5674 z8686 the land, 776 and they spoile 7921 z8765 it, so that it bee x1961 desolate, 8077 that no man x4480 x1097 may passe through 5674 z8802 because 6440 x4480 of the beasts: 2416

 14:16 [Though] these x428 three 7969 men y582 x376 [were] in x8432 it, y8432 as I x589 liue, 2416 saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 they x1992 shall deliuer 5337 z8686 neither x518 sonnes 1121 nor x518 daughters: 1323 they onely x905 shalbe deliuered, 5337 z8735 but the land 776 shalbe x1961 desolate. 8077

 14:17 ¶ Or x176 [if] I bring 935 z8686 a sword 2719 vpon x5921 that x1931 land, 776 and say, 559 z8804 Sword, 2719 goe x5674 through y5674 z8799 the lande, 776 so that I cut off 3772 z8689 man 120 and beast 929 from x4480 it:

 14:18 Though these x428 three 7969 men y582 x376 [were] in x8432 it, y8432 as I x589 liue, 2416 saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 they shall deliuer 5337 z8686 neither x3808 sonnes 1121 nor daughter, 1323 but x3588 they x1992 onely x905 shall bee deliuered y5337 z8735 themselues. x5337

 14:19 ¶ Or x176 [if] I send 7971 z8762 a pestilence 1698 into x413 that x1931 land, 776 and powre out 8210 z8804 my fury 2534 vpon x5921 it in blood, 1818 to cut off 3772 z8687 from x4480 it man 120 and beast: 929

 14:20 Though Noah, 5146 Daniel 1840 and Iob 347 [were] in x8432 it, y8432 as I x589 liue, 2416 saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 they x1992 shal deliuer 5337 z8686 neither x518 son 1121 nor 518 daughter: 1323 they shall [but] deliuer 5337 z8686 their owne soules 5315 by their righteousnes. 6666

 14:21 For x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 How much more x637 when x3588 I send 7971 z8765 my foure 702 sore 7451 iudgements 8201 vpon x413 Ierusalem; 3389 the sword, 2719 and the famine, 7458 and the noisome 7451 beast, 2416 and the pestilence, 1698 to cut off 3772 z8687 from x4480 it man 120 and beast? 929

 14:22 ¶ Yet behold, x2009 therein shalbe left 3498 z8738 a remnant 6413 that shalbe brought foorth, 3318 z8716 [both] sonnes 1121 and daughters: 1323 behold, x2009 they shall come foorth 3318 z8802 vnto x413 you, and ye shall see 7200 z8804 x853 their way 1870 and their doings: 5949 and ye shalbe comforted 5162 z8738 concerning x5921 the euill 7451 that x834 I haue brought 935 z8689 vpon x5921 Ierusalem, 3389 [euen] concerning x854 all x3605 that x834 I haue brought 935 z8689 vpon x5921 it.

 14:23 And they shall comfort 5162 z8765 you when x3588 yee see 7200 z8799 x853 their wayes 1870 and their doings: 5949 and ye shal know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I haue not x3808 done 6213 z8804 without cause, 2600 x853 all x3605 that x834 I haue done 6213 z8804 in it, saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD. 3069
