Ezekiel 24

1 Under the parable of a boiling pot, 6 is shewed the irrevocable destruction of Jerusalem. 15 By the sign of Ezekiel not mourning for the death of his wife, 19 is shewed the calamity of the Jews to be beyond all sorrow.

 24:1 ¶ Againe in the ninth 8671 yeere, 8141 in the tenth 6224 moneth, 2320 in the tenth 6218 [day] of the moneth, 2320 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying; 559 z8800

 24:2 Sonne 1121 of man, 120 Write 3789 z8798 thee x853 the name 8034 of the day, 3117 x853 [euen] of this x2088 same 6106 day: 3117 the king 4428 of Babylon 894 set 5564 z8804 himselfe against x413 Ierusalem 3389 this x2088 same 6106 day. 3117

 24:3 And vtter 4911 z8798 a parable 4912 vnto x413 the rebellious 4805 house, 1004 and say 559 z8804 vnto x413 them, Thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 Set on 8239 z8798 a pot, 5518 set [it] on, 8239 z8798 and also x1571 powre 3332 z8798 water 4325 into it.

 24:4 Gather 622 z8798 the pieces 5409 thereof into x413 it, [euen] euery x3605 good 2896 piece, 5409 the thigh, 3409 and the shoulder; 3802 fill 4390 z8761 it with the choice 4005 bones. 6106

 24:5 Take 3947 z8800 the choice 4005 of the flocke, 6629 and burne y1754 x1752 also x1571 the bones 6106 vnder x8478 it, [and] make it boyle 7570 z8761 well, 7571 and x1571 let him seethe 1310 z8804 the bones 6106 of it therein. 8432

 24:6 ¶ Wherefore x3651 thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 Woe 188 to the bloodie 1818 citie, 5892 to the pot 5518 whose x834 scumme 2457 [is] therein, and whose scumme 2457 is not x3808 gone out 3318 z8804 of x4480 it; bring it out 3318 z8685 piece 5409 by piece, 5409 let no x3808 lot 1486 fall 5307 z8804 vpon x5921 it.

 24:7 For x3588 her blood 1818 is x1961 in the middest 8432 of her: she set 7760 z8804 it vpon x5921 the toppe 6706 of a rocke, 5553 she powred 8210 z8804 it x3808 vpon x5921 the ground 776 to couer 3680 z8763 x5921 it with dust: 6083

 24:8 That it might cause furie 2534 to come vp 5927 z8687 to take 5358 z8800 vengeance: 5359 I haue set 5414 z8804 x853 her blood 1818 vpon x5921 the top 6706 of a rocke, 5553 that it should not x1115 be couered. 3680 z8736

 24:9 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD; 3069 Woe 188 to the bloody 1818 citie, 5892 I x589 will euen x1571 make the pile y4071 for fire, x4071 great. 1431 z8686

 24:10 Heape y7235 z8685 on x7235 wood, 6086 kindle 1814 z8687 the fire, 784 consume 8552 z8687 the flesh, 1320 and spice y7543 z8687 it well, 4841 x7543 and let the bones 6106 be burnt. 2787 z8735

 24:12 She hath wearied 3811 z8689 [herselfe] with lies, 8383 and her great 7227 scumme 2457 went not forth 3318 z8799 x3808 out of x4480 her: her scumme 2457 [shall be] in the fire. 784

 24:13 In thy filthinesse 2932 [is] lewdnesse, 2154 because x3282 I haue purged 2891 z8765 thee, and thou wast not x3808 purged, 2891 z8804 thou shalt not x3808 be purged 2891 z8799 from thy filthinesse 2932 x4480 any more, x5750 till x5704 I haue caused x853 my fury 2534 to rest 5117 z8687 vpon thee.

 24:15 ¶ Also the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying; 559 z8800

 24:16 Sonne 1121 of man, 120 behold, x2009 I take away 3947 z8802 from x4480 thee x853 the desire 4261 of thine eyes 5869 with a stroke: 4046 yet neither x3808 shalt thou mourne, 5594 z8799 nor x3808 weepe, 1058 z8799 neither x3808 shall thy teares 1832 runne downe. 935 z8799

 24:17 Forbeare 1826 z8798 to crie, 602 z8736 make 6213 z8799 no x3808 mourning 60 for the dead, 4191 z8801 bind 2280 z8798 the tire of thine head 6287 vpon x5921 thee, and put on 7760 z8799 thy shooes 5275 vpon thy feete, 7272 and couer 5844 z8799 not x3808 thy lips, 8222 and eate 398 z8799 not x3808 the bread 3899 of men. y582 x376

 24:18 So I spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 the people 5971 in the morning, 1242 and at euen 6153 my wife 802 died, 4191 z8799 and I did 6213 z8799 in the morning 1242 as x834 I was commanded. 6680 z8795

 24:19 ¶ And the people 5971 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 me; Wilt thou not x3808 tell 5046 z8686 vs what x4100 these x428 things [are] to vs, that x3588 thou x859 doest 6213 z8802 [so]?

 24:20 Then I answered 559 z8799 x413 them, The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 me, saying; 559 z8800

 24:21 Speake 559 z8798 vnto the house 1004 of Israel; 3478 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD; 3069 Behold, x2009 I will prophane 2490 z8764 x853 my sanctuarie, 4720 the excellencie 1347 of your strength, 5797 the desire 4261 of your eyes, 5869 and that which your soule 5315 pitieth; 4263 and your sonnes 1121 and your daughters, 1323 whom x834 yee haue left, 5800 z8804 shall fall 5307 z8799 by the sword. 2719

 24:22 And yee shall doe 6213 z8804 as x834 I haue done: 6213 z8804 yee shall not x3808 couer 5844 z8799 x5921 your lips, 8222 nor x3808 eate 398 z8799 the bread 3899 of men. y582 x376

 24:23 And your tires 6287 [shall be] vpon x5921 your heads, 7218 and your shooes 5275 vpon your feet: 7272 yee shall not x3808 mourne 5594 z8799 nor x3808 weepe, 1058 z8799 but yee shall pine away 4743 z8738 for your iniquities, 5771 and mourne 5098 z8804 one 376 towards x413 an other. 251

 24:24 Thus Ezekiel 3168 is x1961 vnto you a signe: 4159 according to all x3605 that x834 he hath done, 6213 z8804 shall yee doe: 6213 z8799 and when this commeth, 935 z8800 yee shall know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 [am] the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

 24:25 Also thou x859 sonne 1121 of man, 120 [shall it] not x3808 [be] in the day 3117 when I take 3947 z8800 from x4480 them x853 their strength, 4581 the ioy 4885 of their glorie, 8597 x853 the desire 4261 of their eyes, 5869 and that whereupon they set 4853 their minds, 5315 their sonnes 1121 and their daughters; 1323

 24:26 That he that escapeth 6412 in that x1931 day, 3117 shall come 935 z8799 vnto x413 thee, to cause [thee] to heare 2045 it with [thine] eares? 241

 24:27 In that x1931 day 3117 shall thy mouth 6310 be opened 6605 z8735 x853 to him which is escaped, 6412 and thou shalt speake 1696 z8762 & be no more dumbe, 481 z8735 x3808 x5750 and thou shalt be x1961 a signe 4159 vnto them, and they shall know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 [am] the LORD. 3068
