Prouerbs 4

1 Solomon, to persuade obedience, 3 sheweth what instruction he had of his parents, 5 to study wisdom, 14 and to shun the path of the wicked. 20 He exhorteth to faith, 23 and sanctification.

 4:1 ¶ Heare, 8085 z8798 ye children, 1121 the instruction 4148 of a father, 1 and attend 7181 z8685 to know 3045 z8800 vnderstanding. 998

 4:2 For x3588 I giue 5414 z8804 you good 2896 doctrine: 3948 forsake 5800 z8799 you not x408 my law. 8451

 4:3 For x3588 I was x1961 my fathers 1 sonne, 1121 tender 7390 and onely 3173 [beloued] in the sight 6440 of my mother. 517

 4:4 He taught 3384 z8686 me also, and said 559 z8799 vnto me, Let thine heart 3820 reteine 8551 z8799 my wordes: 1697 keepe 8104 z8798 my commandements, 4687 and liue. 2421 z8798

 4:5 Get 7069 z8798 wisedome, 2451 get 7069 z8798 vnderstanding: 998 forget 7911 z8799 [it] not, x408 neither x408 decline 5186 z8799 from the wordes 561 x4480 of my mouth. 6310

 4:6 Forsake 5800 z8799 her not, x408 and she shall preserue 8104 z8799 thee: loue 157 z8798 her, and she shall keepe 5341 z8799 thee.

 4:7 Wisedome 2451 is the principall thing, 7225 [therefore] get 7069 z8798 wisedome: 2451 and with all x3605 thy getting, 7075 get x7069 vnderstanding. 998

 4:8 Exalt 5549 z8769 her, and shee shall promote 7311 z8787 thee: shee shall bring thee to honour, 3513 z8762 when x3588 thou doest imbrace 2263 z8762 her.

 4:9 She shall giue 5414 z8799 to thine head 7218 an ornament 3880 of grace, 2580 a crowne 5850 of glory 8597 shall she deliuer 4042 z8762 to thee.

 4:10 Heare, 8085 z8798 O my sonne, 1121 and receiue 3947 z8798 my sayings: 561 and the yeeres 8141 of thy life 2416 shalbe many. 7235 z8799

 4:11 I haue taught 3384 z8689 thee in the way 1870 of wisedome: 2451 I haue lead 1869 z8689 thee in right 3476 pathes. 4570

 4:12 When thou goest, y3212 z8800 x1980 thy steps 6806 shall not x3808 be straitned, 3334 z8799 and when x518 thou runnest, 7323 z8799 thou shalt not x3808 stumble. 3782 z8735

 4:14 ¶ Enter 935 z8799 not x408 into the path 734 of the wicked, 7563 and goe 833 z8762 not x408 in the way 1870 of euill 7451 men.

 4:15 Auoid 6544 z8798 it, passe 5674 z8799 not x408 by it, turne 7847 z8798 from x4480 x5921 it, and passe away. 5674 z8798

 4:20 ¶ My sonne, 1121 attend 7181 z8685 to my words, 1697 incline 5186 z8685 thine eare 241 vnto my sayings. 561

 4:21 Let them not x408 depart 3868 z8686 from thine eyes: 5869 x4480 keepe 8104 z8798 them in the midst 8432 of thine heart. 3824

 4:22 For x3588 they x1992 are life 2416 vnto [those] that find 4672 z8802 them, and health 4832 to all x3605 their flesh. 1320

 4:23 ¶ Keepe 5341 z8798 thy heart 3820 with all x4480 x3605 diligence: 4929 for x3588 out of x4480 it [are] the issues 8444 of life. 2416
