Prouerbs 16

1 From this chapter to the five and twentieth are sundry observations of moral virtues, and their contrary vices.

 16:1 ¶ The preparations 4633 of the heart 3820 in man, 120 and the answere 4617 of the tongue, 3956 [is] from the LORD. 3068 x4480

 16:2 All x3605 the wayes 1870 of a man 376 [are] cleane 2134 in his owne eyes: 5869 but the LORD 3068 weigheth 8505 z8802 the spirits. 7307

 16:3 Commit 1556 z8798 thy workes 4639 vnto x413 the LORD, 3068 and thy thoughts 4284 shalbe established. 3559 z8735

 16:4 The LORD 3068 hath made 6466 z8804 all x3605 things for himselfe: 4617 yea, euen x1571 the wicked 7563 for the day 3117 of euill. 7451

 16:5 Euery one x3605 that is proud 1362 in heart, 3820 [is] an abomination 8441 to the LORD: 3068 [though] hand 3027 [ioyne] in hand, 3027 he shall not x3808 be vnpunished. 5352 z8735

 16:6 By mercy 2617 and trueth 571 iniquitie 5771 is purged: 3722 z8792 and by the feare 3374 of the LORD, 3068 men depart 5493 z8800 from euill. 7451 x4480

 16:7 When a mans 376 wayes 1870 please 7521 z8800 the LORD, 3068 he maketh euen x1571 his enemies 341 z8802 to be at peace 7999 z8686 with x854 him.

 16:8 Better 2896 [is] a little 4592 with righteousnesse, 6666 then great 7230 x4480 reuenewes 8393 without x3808 right. 4941

 16:9 A mans 120 heart 3820 deuiseth 2803 z8762 his way: 1870 but the LORD 3068 directeth 3559 z8686 his steps. 6806

 16:10 A diuine sentence 7081 is in x5921 the lips 8193 of the king: 4428 his mouth 6310 transgresseth 4603 z8799 not x3808 in iudgement. 4941

 16:11 A iust 4941 weight 6425 and ballance 3976 [are] the LORDS: 3068 all x3605 the weights 68 of the bagge 3599 are his worke. 4639

 16:12 [It is] an abomination 8441 to kings 4428 to commit 6213 z8800 wickednesse: 7562 for x3588 the throne 3678 is established 3559 z8735 by righteousnesse. 6666

 16:13 Righteous 6664 lips 8193 [are] the delight 7522 of kings: 4428 and they loue 157 z8799 him that speaketh 1696 z8802 right. 3477

 16:14 The wrath 2534 of a king 4428 [is as] messengers 4397 of death: 4194 but a wise 2450 man 376 will pacifie 3722 z8762 it.

 16:15 In the light 216 of the kings 4428 countenance 6440 is life, 2416 and his fauour 7522 [is] as a cloude 5645 of the latter raine. 4456

 16:18 Pride 1347 [goeth] before 6440 destruction: 7667 and an hautie 1363 spirit 7307 before 6440 a fall. 3783

 16:21 The wise 2450 in heart 3820 shall be called 7121 z8735 prudent; 995 z8737 and the sweetnesse 4986 of the lips 8193 increaseth 3254 z8686 learning. 3948

 16:22 Understanding 7922 [is] a well-spring 4726 of life 2416 vnto him that hath 1167 it: but the instruction 4148 of fooles 191 [is] folly. 200
