Prouerbs 21

1 From this chapter to the five and twentieth are sundry observations of moral virtues, and their contrary vices.

 21:1 ¶ The kings 4428 heart 3820 [is] in the hand 3027 of the LORD, 3068 [as] the riuers 6388 of water: 4325 hee turneth 5186 z8686 it whithersoeuer x5921 x3605 x834 he will. 2654 z8799

 21:2 Euery x3605 way 1870 of a man 376 [is] right 3477 in his owne eyes: 5869 but the LORD 3068 pondereth 8505 z8802 the hearts. 3826

 21:3 To doe 6213 z8800 iustice 6666 and iudgement, 4941 is more acceptable 977 z8737 to the LORD, 3068 then sacrifice. 2077 x4480

 21:4 An high 7312 looke, 5869 and a proud 7342 heart, 3820 [and] the plowing 5215 of the wicked, 7563 [is] sinne. 2403

 21:5 The thoughts 4284 of the diligent 2742 [tend] onely x389 to plenteousnes: 4195 but of euery one x3605 that is hastie, 213 z8801 onely x389 to want. 4270

 21:6 The getting 6467 of treasures 214 by a lying 8267 tongue, 3956 [is] a vanitie 1892 tossed to and fro x5086 of y5086 z8737 them that seeke 1245 z8764 death. 4194

 21:7 The robbery 7701 of the wicked 7563 shall destroy 1641 z8799 them; because x3588 they refuse 3985 z8765 to doe 6213 z8800 iudgement. 4941

 21:8 The way 1870 of man 376 [is] froward 2019 and strange: 2054 but as for the pure; 2134 his worke 6467 [is] right. 3477

 21:9 It is better 2896 to dwell 3427 z8800 in x5921 a corner 6438 of the house top; 1406 then with a brawling 4079 z8675 y4066 woman 802 x4480 in a wide 2267 house. 1004

 21:11 When the scorner 3887 z8801 is punished, 6064 z8800 the simple 6612 is made wise: 2449 z8799 and when the wise 2450 is instructed, 7919 z8687 he receiueth 3947 z8799 knowledge. 1847

 21:12 The righteous 6662 man wisely considereth 7919 z8688 the house 1004 of the wicked: 7563 [but God] ouerthroweth 5557 z8764 the wicked 7563 for their wickednesse. 7451

 21:13 [Whoso] stoppeth 331 z8801 his eares 241 at the cry 2201 x4480 of the poore, 1800 hee also x1571 shall cry 7121 z8799 himselfe, x1931 but shall not x3808 be heard. 6030 z8735

 21:14 A gift 4976 in secret 5643 pacifieth 3711 z8799 anger; 639 and a reward 7810 in the bosome, 2436 strong 5794 wrath. 2534

 21:15 [It is] ioy 8057 to the iust 6662 to doe 6213 z8800 iudgement: 4941 but destruction 4288 [shalbe] to the workers 6466 z8802 of iniquitie. 205

 21:16 The man 120 that wandreth 8582 z8802 out of the way 1870 x4480 of vnderstanding, 7919 z8687 shall remaine 5117 z8799 in the congregation 6951 of the dead. 7496

 21:17 He that loueth 157 z8802 pleasure, 8057 [shall be] a poore 4270 man: 376 hee that loueth 157 z8802 wine 3196 and oyle, 8081 shall not x3808 be rich. 6238 z8686

 21:18 The wicked 7563 [shalbe] a ransome 3724 for the righteous; 6662 and the transgressour 898 z8802 for x8478 the vpright. 3477

 21:20 There is treasure 214 to be desired, 2530 z8737 and oyle 8081 in the dwelling 5116 of the wise: 2450 but a foolish 3684 man 120 spendeth it vp. 1104 z8762

 21:21 Hee that followeth 7291 z8802 after righteousnesse 6666 and mercy, 2617 findeth 4672 z8799 life, 2416 righteousnesse 6666 and honour. 3519

 21:22 A wise 2450 man scaleth 5927 z8804 the citie 5892 of the mightie, 1368 and casteth downe 3381 z8686 the strength 5797 of the confidence 4009 thereof.

 21:23 Whoso keepeth 8104 z8802 his mouth 6310 and his tongue, 3956 keepeth 8104 z8802 his soule 5315 from troubles. 6869 x4480
