Genesis 33

1 The kindness of Jacob and Esau at their meeting. 17 Jacob cometh to Succoth. 18 At Shalem he buyeth a field, and buildeth an altar called El-elohe-Israel.

 33:1 ¶ And Iacob 3290 lifted vp 5375 z8799 his eyes, 5869 and looked, 7200 z8799 and behold, x2009 Esau 6215 came, 935 z8802 and with x5973 him foure 702 hundreth 3967 men: 376 and hee diuided 2673 z8799 x853 the children 3206 vnto x5921 Leah, 3812 and vnto x5921 Rachel, 7354 and vnto x5921 the two 8147 handmaids. 8198

 33:2 And he put 7760 z8799 x853 the handmaides, 8198 and their chidren 3206 foremost, 7223 and Leah 3812 and her children 3206 after, 314 and Rachel 7354 and Ioseph 3130 hindermost. 314

 33:3 And hee x1931 passed ouer 5674 z8804 before x6440 them, y6440 and bowed himselfe 7812 z8691 to the ground 776 seuen 7651 times, 6471 vntill x5704 hee came neere 5066 z8800 to x5704 his brother. 251

 33:4 And Esau 6215 ran 7323 z8799 to meete x7125 him, y7125 z8800 and imbraced 2263 z8762 him, and fell 5307 z8799 on x5921 his necke, 6677 and kissed x5401 him, y5401 z8799 and they wept. 1058 z8799

 33:5 And he lift vp 5375 z8799 x853 his eyes, 5869 and sawe 7200 z8799 x853 the women, 802 and the children, 3206 and said, 559 z8799 who x4310 are those 428 with thee? And he said, 559 z8799 The children 3206 which x834 God 430 hath graciously giuen 2603 z8804 x853 thy seruant. 5650

 33:6 Then the handmaidens 8198 came neere; 5066 z8799 they x2007 and their children, 3206 and they bowed themselues. 7812 z8691

 33:7 And Leah 3812 also x1571 with her children 3206 came neere, 5066 z8799 and bowed themselues: 7812 z8691 and after 310 came y5066 z0 Ioseph y3130 neere 5066 z8738 x3130 and Rachel, 7354 and they bowed y7812 z8691 themselues. x7812

 33:8 And he said, 559 z8799 What x4310 meanest thou by all x3605 this x2088 droue, 4264 which x834 I met? 6298 z8804 And he said, 559 z8799 [These are] to find 4672 z8800 grace 2580 in the sight 5869 of my lord. 113

 33:9 And Esau 6215 said, 559 z8799 I haue 3426 enough: 7227 my brother, 251 keepe x1961 that x834 thou hast vnto thy selfe.

 33:10 And Iacob 3290 saide, 559 z8799 Nay, x408 I pray thee: x4994 if x518 now x4994 I haue found 4672 z8804 grace 2580 in thy sight, 5869 then receiue 3947 z8804 my present 4503 at my hand: 3027 x4480 for x3588 therefore x5921 x3651 I haue seene 7200 z8804 thy face, 6440 as though I had seene 7200 z8800 the face 6440 of God; 430 and thou wast pleased x7521 with me. y7521 z8799

 33:11 Take, 3947 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 x853 my blessing 1293 that x834 is brought 935 z8717 to thee; because x3588 God 430 hath dealt graciously x2603 with mee, y2603 z8804 and because y3605 z0 x3588 I haue 3426 enough: 3605 and hee vrged 6484 z8799 him, and he tooke 3947 z8799 [it].

 33:12 And he said, 559 z8799 Let vs take our iourney, 5265 z8799 and let vs goe, y3212 z8799 x1980 and I will goe y3212 z8799 x1980 before x5048 thee.

 33:13 And hee said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, My lord 113 knoweth, 3045 z8802 that x3588 the children 3206 are tender, 7390 and the flockes 6629 and heards 1241 with yong 5763 z8802 are with x5921 mee: and if men should ouer-driue 1849 z8804 them one 259 day, 3117 all x3605 the flocke 6629 will die. 4191 z8804

 33:14 Let my lord, 113 I pray thee, x4994 passe ouer 5674 z8799 before 6440 his seruant, 5650 and I x589 will leade on 5095 z8691 softly, 328 according as 7272 the cattell 4399 that x834 goeth before x6440 me, y6440 and the children 3206 be able to endure, 7272 vntill x5704 x834 I come 935 z8799 vnto x413 my lord 113 vnto Seir. 8165

 33:15 And Esau 6215 said, 559 z8799 Let me now x4994 leaue 3322 z8686 with x5973 thee [some] of x4480 the folke 5971 that x834 are with x854 me: And hee said, 559 z8799 What 4100 needeth it? x2088 let me finde 4672 z8799 grace 2580 in the sight 5869 of my lord. 113

 33:16 ¶ So Esau 6215 returned 7725 z8799 that x1931 day, 3117 on his way 1870 vnto Seir. 8165

 33:17 And Iacob 3290 iourneyed 5265 z8804 to Succoth, 5523 and built 1129 z8799 him an house, 1004 and made 6213 z8804 boothes 5521 for his cattell: 4735 therefore x5921 x3651 the name 8034 of the place 4725 is called 7121 z8804 Succoth. 5523

 33:18 ¶ And Iacob 3290 came 935 z8799 to Shalem, y8004 x8003 a citie 5892 of Shechem, 7927 which x834 is in the land 776 of Canaan, 3667 when he came 935 z8800 from Padan Aram, 6307 x4480 and pitched his tent 2583 z8799 x853 before 6440 the Citie. 5892

 33:19 And he bought 7069 z8799 x853 a parcell 2513 of a field 7704 where x834 x8033 hee had spread 5186 z8804 his tent, 168 at the hand 3027 x4480 of the children 1121 of Hamor 2544 Shechems y7927 x7928 father, 1 for an hundred 3967 pieces of money. 7192

 33:20 And hee erected 5324 z8686 there x8033 an Altar, 4196 and called x7121 it y7121 z8799 El-Elohe-Israel. 415
