Genesis 29

1 Jacob cometh to the well of Haran. 9 He taketh acquaintance of Rachel. 13 Laban entertaineth him. 18 Jacob covenanteth for Rachel. 23 He is deceived with Leah. 28 He marrieth also Rachel, and serveth for her seven years more. 32 Leah beareth Reuben, 33 Simeon, 34 Levi, 35 and Judah.

 29:1 ¶ Then Iacob 3290 went on y5375 z8799 his iourney, 7272 x5375 and came y3212 z8799 x1980 into the land 776 of the people 1121 of the East. 6924

 29:2 And he looked, 7200 z8799 and behold, x2009 a well 875 in the field, 7704 and loe, x2009 there x8033 [were] three 7969 flocks 5739 of sheepe 6629 lying 7257 z8802 by x5921 it: for x3588 out of x4480 that x1931 wel 875 they watered 8248 z8686 the flocks: 5739 and a great 1419 stone 68 was vpon x5921 the welles 875 mouth. 6310

 29:3 And thither x8033 were all x3605 the flockes 5739 gathered, 622 z8738 and they rolled 1556 z8804 x853 the stone 68 from x4480 x5921 the wels 875 mouth, 6310 & watered 8248 z8689 x853 the sheepe, 6629 and put 7725 z0 x853 the stone 68 againe y7725 z8689 vpon x5921 the wels 875 mouth 6310 in his place. 4725

 29:4 And Iacob 3290 said 559 z8799 vnto them, My brethren, 251 whence 370 x4480 be ye? x859 and they saide, 559 z8799 Of Haran 2771 x4480 are we. x587

 29:5 And he said 559 z8799 vnto them, Know 3045 z8804 ye x853 Laban 3837 the sonne 1121 of Nahor? 5152 And they sayde, 559 z8799 We knowe 3045 z8804 [him].

 29:6 And he said 559 z8799 vnto them, Is hee well? 7965 and they said, 559 z8799 He is well: 7965 and behold, x2009 Rachel 7354 his daughter 1323 commeth 935 z8802 with x5973 the sheepe. 6629

 29:7 And hee said, 559 z8799 Loe, 2005 [it is] yet x5750 high 1419 day, 3117 neither x3808 is it time 6256 that the cattell 4735 should be gathered together: 622 z8736 water 8248 z8685 yee the sheepe, 6629 and goe y3212 z8798 x1980 and feed 7462 z8798 [them].

 29:8 And they said, 559 z8799 We cannot, 3201 z8799 x3808 vntill x5704 x834 all x3605 the flockes 5739 bee gathered together, 622 z8735 and till they rolle 1556 z8804 x853 the stone 68 from x4480 x5921 the welles 875 mouth: 6310 then wee water 8248 z8689 the sheepe. 6629

 29:9 ¶ And while hee yet 5750 spake 1696 z8764 with x5973 them, Rachel 7354 came 935 z8804 with x5973 her fathers 1 sheepe: 6629 for x3588 she x1931 kept x7462 them. y7462 z8802

 29:10 And it came to passe, x1961 when x834 Iacob 3290 saw 7200 z8804 x853 Rachel 7354 the daughter 1323 of Laban 3837 his mothers 517 brother, 251 and the sheepe 6629 of Laban 3837 his mothers 517 brother; 251 that Iacob 3290 went neere, 5066 z8799 and rolled 1556 z8686 x853 the stone 68 from x4480 x5921 the wels 875 mouth, 6310 and watered 8248 z8686 x853 the flocke 6629 of Laban 3837 his mothers 517 brother. 251

 29:11 And Iacob 3290 kissed 5401 z8799 Rachel, 7354 and lifted vp 5375 z8799 x853 his voyce, 6963 and wept. 1058 z8799

 29:12 And Iacob 3290 told 5046 z8686 Rachel, 7354 that x3588 hee x1931 was her fathers 1 brother, 251 and that x3588 hee x1931 was Rebekahs 7259 sonne: 1121 and she ranne, 7323 z8799 and told 5046 z8686 her father. 1

 29:13 And it came to passe, x1961 when Laban 3837 heard 8085 z8800 x853 the tidings 8088 of Iacob 3290 his sisters 269 sonne, 1121 that he ranne 7323 z8799 to meete 7125 z8800 him, and imbraced 2263 z8762 him, and kissed 5401 z8762 him, & brought 935 z8686 him to x413 his house: 1004 and hee tolde 5608 z8762 Laban 3837 x853 all x3605 these x428 things. 1697

 29:14 And Laban 3837 said 559 z8799 to him, Surely 389 thou x859 art my bone 6106 and my flesh: 1320 and he abode 3427 z8799 with x5973 him the space 3117 of a moneth. 2320

 29:15 ¶ And Laban 3837 said 559 z8799 vnto Iacob, 3290 Because x3588 thou x859 art my brother, 251 shouldest thou therefore serue 5647 z8804 me for nought? 2600 tell 5046 z8685 me, what x4100 shall thy wages 4909 be?

 29:16 And Laban 3837 had two 8147 daughters: 1323 the name 8034 of the elder 1419 was Leah, 3812 and the name 8034 of the yonger 6996 [was] Rachel. 7354

 29:17 Leah 3812 was tender 7390 eyed: 5869 but Rachel 7354 was x1961 beautiful 3303 8389 and well 3303 fauoured. 4758

 29:18 And Iacob 3290 loued 157 z8799 x853 Rachel, 7354 and said, 559 z8799 I will serue 5647 z8799 thee seuen 7651 yeeres 8141 for Rachel 7354 thy yonger 6996 daughter. 1323

 29:19 And Laban 3837 said, 559 z8799 It is better 2896 that I giue 5414 z8800 her to thee, then that I should giue 5414 z8800 x4480 her to another 312 man: 376 abide 3427 z8798 with x5973 mee.

 29:20 And Iacob 3290 serued 5647 z8799 seuen 7651 yeeres 8141 for Rachel: 7354 and they seemed 5869 x1961 vnto him but a few 259 dayes, 3117 for the loue x160 hee had y160 to her.

 29:21 ¶ And Iacob 3290 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Laban, 3837 Giue 3051 z8798 me x853 my wife 802 (for x3588 my dayes 3117 are fulfilled) 4390 z8804 that I may goe in 935 z8799 vnto x413 her.

 29:22 And Laban 3837 gathered together 622 z8799 x853 all x3605 the men y582 x376 of the place, 4725 and made 6213 z8799 a feast. 4960

 29:23 And it came to passe x1961 in the euening, 6153 that he tooke 3947 z8799 x853 Leah 3812 his daughter, 1323 and brought 935 z8686 her to x413 him, and he went in 935 z8799 vnto x413 her.

 29:24 And Laban 3837 gaue 5414 z8799 vnto his daughter 1323 Leah, 3812 x853 Zilpah 2153 his mayde, 8198 for a handmayd. 8198

 29:25 And it came to passe, x1961 that in the morning, 1242 behold x2009 it x1931 was Leah: 3812 and he said 559 z8799 to x413 Laban, 3837 What x4100 is this x2063 thou hast done 6213 z8804 vnto mee? did not x3808 I serue 5647 z8804 with x5973 thee for Rachel? 7354 wherefore x4100 then hast thou beguiled 7411 z8765 me?

 29:26 And Laban 3837 said, 559 z8799 It must not x3808 be so x3651 done 6213 z8735 in our countrey, 4725 to giue 5414 z8800 the yonger, 6810 before 6440 the first borne. 1067

 29:27 Fulfill 4390 z8761 her 2063 weeke, 7620 and wee will giue 5414 z8799 thee x853 this x2063 also, x1571 for the seruice 5656 which x834 thou shalt serue 5647 z8799 with x5973 mee, yet x5750 seuen 7651 other 312 yeeres. 8141

 29:28 And Iacob 3290 did 6213 z8799 so, x3651 and fulfilled 4390 z8762 her x2063 weeke: 7620 and he gaue 5414 z8799 him x853 Rachel 7354 his daughter 1323 to wife 802 also.

 29:29 And Laban 3837 gaue 5414 z8799 to Rachel 7354 his daughter, 1323 x853 Bilhah 1090 his handmayd, 8198 to be her mayd. 8198

 29:30 And hee went in 935 z8799 also x1571 vnto x413 Rachel, 7354 and he loued 157 z8799 also x1571 x853 Rachel 7354 more then Leah, 3812 x4480 and serued 5647 z8799 with x5973 him yet x5750 seuen 7651 other 312 yeeres. 8141

 29:31 ¶ And when the LORD 3068 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 Leah 3812 was hated, 8130 z8803 hee opened 6605 z8799 x853 her wombe: 7358 but Rachel 7354 was barren. 6135

 29:32 And Leah 3812 conceiued 2029 z8799 and bare 3205 z8799 a sonne, 1121 and shee called 7121 z8799 his name 8034 Reuben: 7205 for 3588 she said, 559 z8804 Surely, 3588 the LORD 3068 hath looked 7200 z8804 vpon my affliction; 6040 now x6258 therefore 3588 my husband 376 will loue 157 z8799 me.

 29:33 And shee conceiued 2029 z8799 againe, x5750 and bare 3205 z8799 a sonne, 1121 and saide, 559 z8799 Because x3588 the LORD 3068 hath heard 8085 z8804 that x3588 I x595 was hated, 8130 z8803 hee hath therefore giuen 5414 z8799 mee x853 this x2088 [sonne] also, x1571 and she called 7121 z8799 his name 8034 Simeon. 8095

 29:34 And shee conceiued x2029 againe, y2029 z8799 x5750 and bare 3205 z8799 a sonne, 1121 and said, 559 z8799 Now x6258 this time 6471 will my husband 376 be ioyned 3867 z8735 vnto x413 me, because x3588 I haue borne 3205 z8804 him three 7969 sonnes: 1121 therefore x5921 x3651 was his name 8034 called 7121 z8804 Leui. 3878

 29:35 And shee conceiued 2029 z8799 againe, x5750 and bare 3205 z8799 a sonne: 1121 and she said, 559 z8799 Now 6471 wil I praise 3034 z8686 x853 the LORD: 3068 therefore x5921 x3651 she called 7121 z8804 his name 8034 Iudah, 3063 and left 5975 z8799 bearing. 3205 z8800 x4480
