Genesis 28

1 Isaac blesseth Jacob, and sendeth him to Padan-aram. 6 Esau marrieth Mahalath the daughter of Ismael. 10 The vision of Jacob's ladder. 18 The stone of Beth-el. 20 Jacob's vow.

 28:1 ¶ And Isaac 3327 called 7121 z8799 x413 Iacob, 3290 and blessed 1288 z8762 him, and charged 6680 z8762 him, and saide 559 z8799 vnto him, Thou shalt not x3808 take 3947 z8799 a wife, 802 of the daughters 1323 x4480 of Canaan. 3667

 28:2 Arise, 6965 z8798 goe y3212 z8798 x1980 to Padan Aram, 6307 to the house 1004 of Bethuel 1328 thy mothers 517 father, 1 and take 3947 z8798 thee a wife 802 from thence, x4480 x8033 of the daughters 1323 x4480 of Laban 3837 thy mothers 517 brother. 251

 28:3 And God 410 Almighty 7706 blesse 1288 z8762 thee, and make thee fruitfull, 6509 z8686 and multiply 7235 z8686 thee, that thou mayest be x1961 a multitude 6951 of people: 5971

 28:4 And giue 5414 z8799 thee x853 the blessing 1293 of Abraham, 85 to thee and to thy seede 2233 with x854 thee, that thou mayest inherit 3423 z8800 x853 the lande 776 wherein thou art a stranger, 4033 which x834 God 430 gaue 5414 z8804 vnto Abraham. 85

 28:5 And Isaac 3327 sent away 7971 z8799 x853 Iacob, 3290 and hee went y3212 z8799 x1980 to Padan-Aram 6307 vnto x413 Laban, 3837 sonne 1121 of Bethuel 1328 the Syrian, 761 the brother 251 of Rebekah, 7259 Iacobs 3290 and Esaus 6215 mother. 517

 28:6 ¶ When Esau 6215 sawe 7200 z8799 that x3588 Isaac 3327 had blessed 1288 z8765 x853 Iacob, 3290 and sent him away 7971 z8765 x853 to Padan-Aram, 6307 to take 3947 z8800 him a wife 802 from thence; x4480 x8033 and that as he blessed 1288 z8763 him, he gaue him a charge, 6680 z8762 x5921 saying, 559 z8800 Thou shalt not x3808 take 3947 z8799 a wife 802 of the daughters 1323 x4480 of Canaan; 3667

 28:7 And that Iacob 3290 obeyed 8085 z8799 x413 his father, 1 and his mother, 517 and was gone y3212 z8799 x1980 to Padan-Aram; 6307

 28:8 And Esau 6215 seeing 7200 z8799 that x3588 the daughters 1323 of Canaan 3667 pleased y5869 not 7451 x5869 Isaac 3327 his father. 1

 28:9 Then went y3212 z8799 x1980 Esau 6215 vnto x413 Ishmael, 3458 and tooke 3947 z8799 vnto x5921 the wiues 802 which hee had, x853 Mahalath 4258 the daughter 1323 of Ishmael 3458 Abrahams 85 sonne, 1121 the sister 269 of Nebaioth, 5032 to be his wife. 802

 28:10 ¶ And Iacob 3290 went out 3318 z8799 from Beer-sheba, 884 x4480 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 toward Haran. 2771

 28:11 And hee lighted 6293 z8799 vpon a certaine place, 4725 and taried there all night, 3885 z8799 x8033 because x3588 the sunne 8121 was set: 935 z8804 and hee tooke 3947 z8799 of the stones 68 x4480 of that place, 4725 and put 7760 z8799 them for his pillowes, 4763 and lay downe 7901 z0 in that x1931 place 4725 to sleepe. y7901 z8799

 28:12 And he dreamed, 2492 z8799 and beholde, x2009 a ladder 5551 set vp 5324 z8716 on the earth, 776 and the top x7218 of it y7218 reached 5060 z8688 to heauen: 8064 and beholde x2009 the Angels 4397 of God 430 ascending 5927 z8802 and descending 3381 z8802 on it.

 28:13 And behold, x2009 the LORD 3068 stood 5324 z8737 aboue x5921 it, and said, 559 z8799 I x589 am the LORD 3068 God 430 of Abraham 85 thy father, 1 and the God 430 of Isaac: 3327 the land 776 whereon x834 x5921 thou x859 liest, 7901 z8802 to thee will I giue x5414 it, y5414 z8799 and to thy seede. 2233

 28:14 And thy seed 2233 shall be x1961 as the dust 6083 of the earth, 776 and thou shalt spread abroad 6555 z8804 to the West, 3220 and to the East, 6924 and to the North, 6828 and to the South: 5045 and in thee, and in thy seed, 2233 shall all x3605 the families 4940 of the earth 127 be blessed. 1288 z8738

 28:15 And behold, x2009 I x595 am with x5973 thee, and will keepe 8104 z8804 thee in all x3605 [places] whither 834 thou goest, y3212 z8799 x1980 and will bring thee againe 7725 z8689 into x413 this x2063 land: 127 for x3588 I will not x3808 leaue 5800 z8799 thee, vntill 834 x5704 x518 I haue done 6213 z8804 x853 that which x834 I haue spoken 1696 z8765 to thee of.

 28:16 ¶ And Iacob 3290 awaked 3364 z8799 out of his sleepe, 8142 x4480 and he said, 559 z8799 Surely 403 the LORD 3068 is 3426 in this x2088 place, 4725 and I x595 knew 3045 z8804 it not. x3808

 28:17 And he was afraid, 3372 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 How x4100 dreadful 3372 z8737 [is] this x2088 place? 4725 this x2088 is none x369 other, but x3588 x518 the house 1004 of God, 430 and this x2088 [is] the gate 8179 of heauen. 8064

 28:18 And Iacob 3290 rose vp earely 7925 z8686 in the morning, 1242 and tooke 3947 z8799 x853 the stone 68 that x834 hee had put 7760 z8804 for his pillowes, 4763 and set it vp 7760 z8799 x853 for a pillar, 4676 and powred 3332 z8799 oile 8081 vpon x5921 the top x7218 of it. y7218

 28:19 And hee called 7121 z8799 x853 the name 8034 of that x1931 place 4725 Beth-el: 1008 but 199 the name 8034 of that citie 5892 was called Luz, 3870 at the first. 7223

 28:20 And Iacob 3290 vowed 5087 z8799 a vow, 5088 saying, 559 z8800 If x518 God 430 will be x1961 with x5973 me, and will keepe x8104 me y8104 z8804 in this x2088 way 1870 that x834 I x595 goe, 1980 z8802 and will giue 5414 z8804 me bread 3899 to eate, 398 z8800 and raiment 899 to put on, 3847 z8800

 28:21 So that I come againe 7725 z8804 to x413 my fathers 1 house 1004 in peace: 7965 then shall the LORD 3068 be x1961 my God. 430

 28:22 And this x2063 stone 68 which x834 I haue set 7760 z8804 for a pillar, 4676 shall be x1961 Gods 430 house: 1004 and of all x3605 that x834 thou shalt giue 5414 z8799 me, I will surely y6237 z8763 giue the tenth 6237 z8762 vnto thee.
