Genesis 21

1 Isaac is born. 4 He is circumcised. 6 Sarah's joy. 9 Hagar and Ishmael are cast forth. 15 Hagar in distress. 17 The angel comforteth her. 22 Abimelech's covenant with Abraham at Beer-sheba.

 21:1 ¶ And the LORD 3068 visited 6485 z8804 x853 Sarah 8283 as x834 he had said, 559 z8804 and the LORD 3068 did 6213 z8799 vnto Sarah 8283 as x834 he had spoken. 1696 z8765

 21:2 For Sarah 8283 conceiued, 2029 z8799 and bare 3205 z8799 Abraham 85 a sonne 1121 in his old age, 2208 at the set time, 4150 of which x834 God 430 had spoken 1696 z8765 to him.

 21:3 And Abraham 85 called 7121 z8799 x853 the name 8034 of his sonne, 1121 that was borne 3205 z8737 vnto him, whom x834 Sarah 8283 bare 3205 z8804 to him, Isaac. 3327

 21:4 And Abraham 85 circumcised 4135 z8799 his sonne 1121 Isaac, 3327 being eight 8083 dayes 3117 old, 1121 as x834 God 430 had commanded 6680 z8765 him.

 21:5 And Abraham 85 was an hundred 3967 yeeres 8141 old, 1121 when x853 his sonne 1121 Isaac 3327 was borne 3205 z8736 vnto him.

 21:6 ¶ And Sarah 8283 said, 559 z8799 God 430 hath made 6213 z8804 me to laugh, 6712 [so that] all x3605 that heare, 8085 z8802 will laugh 6711 z8799 with me.

 21:7 And she said, 559 z8799 Who x4310 would haue said 4448 z8765 vnto Abraham, 85 that Sarah 8283 should haue giuen children y1121 sucke? 3243 z8689 x1121 for x3588 I haue borne 3205 z8804 [him] a sonne 1121 in his old age. 2208

 21:8 And the child 3206 grew, 1431 z8799 and was weaned: 1580 z8735 and Abraham 85 made 6213 z8799 a great 1419 feast, 4960 the [same] day 3117 that x853 Isaac 3327 was weaned. 1580 z8736

 21:9 ¶ And Sarah 8283 saw 7200 z8799 x853 the sonne 1121 of Hagar 1904 the Egyptian, 4713 which x834 shee had borne 3205 z8804 vnto Abraham, 85 mocking. 6711 z8764

 21:10 Wherfore she said 559 z8799 vnto Abraham, 85 Cast out 1644 z8761 this x2063 bond woman, 519 and her sonne: 1121 for x3588 the sonne 1121 of this x2063 bond woman 519 shall not x3808 be heire 3423 z8799 with x5973 my sonne, 1121 [euen] with x5973 Isaac. 3327

 21:11 And the thing 1697 was very y3966 grieuous y3415 z8799 x7489 x3966 in Abrahams 85 sight, 5869 because 182 x5921 of his sonne. 1121

 21:12 ¶ And God 430 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Abraham, 85 Let it not x408 be grieuous y3415 z8799 x7489 in thy sight, 5869 because of x5921 the lad, 5288 and because of x5921 thy bond woman. 519 In all x3605 that x834 Sarah 8283 hath said 559 z8799 vnto x413 thee, hearken 8085 z8798 vnto her voice: 6963 for x3588 in Isaac 3327 shall thy seed 2233 be called. 7121 z8735

 21:13 And also, x1571 x853 of the sonne 1121 of the bond woman 519 will I make 7760 z8799 a nation, 1471 because x3588 he x1931 is thy seed. 2233

 21:14 And Abraham 85 rose vp earely 7925 z8686 in the morning, 1242 and tooke 3947 z8799 bread, 3899 and a bottle 2573 of water, 4325 and gaue 5414 z8799 it vnto x413 Hagar, 1904 (putting 7760 z8804 it on x5921 her shoulder,) 7926 and the child, 3206 and sent her away: 7971 z8762 and shee departed, y3212 z8799 x1980 and wandered 8582 z8799 in the wildernesse 4057 of Beer-sheba. 884

 21:15 And the water 4325 was spent 3615 z8799 in 4480 the bottle, 2573 and shee cast 7993 z8686 x853 the child 3206 vnder x8478 one 259 of the shrubs. 7880

 21:16 And she went, y3212 z8799 x1980 and sate her downe 3427 z8799 ouer against 5048 x4480 [him], a good way off, 7368 z8687 as it were a bow shoot: 2909 7198 z8764 for x3588 she said, 559 z8804 Let me not x408 see 7200 z8799 the death 4194 of the child. 3206 And shee sate 3427 z8799 ouer against x4480 x5048 [him], and lift vp 5375 z8799 x853 her voice, 6963 and wept. 1058 z8799

 21:17 And God 430 heard 8085 z8804 x853 the voice 6963 of the lad, 5288 and the Angel 4397 of God 430 called 7121 z8799 to x413 Hagar 1904 out of x4480 heauen, 8064 and said 559 z8799 vnto her, What x4100 aileth thee, Hagar? 1904 feare 3372 z8799 not: x408 for x3588 God 430 hath heard 8085 z8799 x413 the voice 6963 of the ladde, 5288 where x834 x8033 he x1931 is.

 21:18 Arise, 6965 z8798 lift vp 5375 z8798 x853 the lad, 5288 and hold 2388 z8685 him in x854 thine hand: 3027 for x3588 I will make 7760 z8799 him a great 1419 nation. 1471

 21:19 And God 430 opened 6491 z8799 x853 her eyes, 5869 and she saw 7200 z8799 a well 875 of water, 4325 and shee went, y3212 z8799 x1980 and filled 4390 z8762 x853 the bottle 2573 with water, 4325 and gaue y8248 z0 x853 the lad 5288 drinke. 8248 z8686

 21:20 And God 430 was x1961 with x854 the lad, 5288 and he grew, 1431 z8799 and dwelt 3427 z8799 in the wildernesse, 4057 and became x1961 an archer. 7235 7199 z8802

 21:21 And hee dwelt 3427 z8799 in the wildernesse 4057 of Paran: 6290 and his mother 517 tooke 3947 z8799 him a wife 802 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt. 4714

 21:22 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 at that x1931 time, 6256 that Abimelech 40 and Phichol 6369 the chiefe captaine 8269 of his hoste 6635 spake 559 z8799 vnto x413 Abraham, 85 saying, 559 z8800 God 430 [is] with x5973 thee in all x3605 that x834 thou x859 doest. 6213 z8802

 21:23 Now x6258 therefore sweare 7650 z8734 vnto mee here 2008 by God, 430 that thou wilt not deale falsly 8266 z8799 with me, nor with my sonne, 5209 nor with my sonnes sonne: 5220 [but] according to the kindnesse 2617 that x834 I haue done 6213 z8804 vnto x5973 thee, thou shalt doe 6213 z8799 vnto x5978 me, and to x5973 the land 776 wherein x834 thou hast soiourned. 1481 z8804

 21:24 And Abraham 85 saide, 559 z8799 I x595 will sweare. 7650 z8735

 21:25 And Abraham 85 reproued 3198 z8689 x853 Abimelech, 40 because y182 of x5921 x182 a well 875 of water, 4325 which x834 Abimelechs 40 seruants 5650 had violently taken away. 1497 z8804

 21:26 And Abimelech 40 saide, 559 z8799 I wote 3045 z8804 not x3808 who x4310 hath done 6213 z8804 x853 this x2088 thing: 1697 neither 3808 didst thou x859 tell 5046 z8689 me, neither 3808 yet x1571 heard 8085 z8804 I x595 of it, but 1115 to day. 3117

 21:27 And Abraham 85 tooke 3947 z8799 sheepe 6629 and oxen, 1241 and gaue 5414 z8799 them vnto Abimelech: 40 and both x8147 of them y8147 made 3772 z8799 a couenant. 1285

 21:28 And Abraham 85 set 5324 z8686 x853 seuen 7651 ewe lambes 3535 of the flocke 6629 by themselues. x905

 21:29 And Abimelech 40 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Abraham, 85 What y2008 x4100 meane these x428 seuen 7651 ewe lambes, 3535 which x834 thou hast set 5324 z8689 by themselues? x905

 21:30 And he said, 559 z8799 For x3588 these x853 seuen 7651 ewe lambs 3535 shalt thou take 3947 z8799 of my hand, 3027 x4480 that 5668 they may be x1961 a witnesse 5713 vnto me, that x3588 I haue digged 2658 z8804 x853 this x2088 well. 875

 21:31 Wherefore x5921 x3651 he called 7121 z8804 that x1931 place, 4725 Beer-sheba: 884 because x3588 there x8033 they sware 7650 z8738 both x8147 of them. y8147

 21:32 Thus they made 3772 z8799 a couenant 1285 at Beeer-sheba: 884 then Abimelech 40 rose vp, 6965 z8799 and Phichol 6369 the chiefe captaine 8269 of his hoste, 6635 and they returned 7725 z8799 into x413 the land 776 of the Philistines. 6430

 21:33 ¶ And [Abraham] planted 5193 z8799 a groue 815 in Beer-sheba, 884 and called 7121 z8799 there x8033 on the Name 8034 of the LORD, 3068 the euerlasting 5769 God. 410

 21:34 And Abraham 85 soiourned 1481 z8799 in the Philistines 6430 land, 776 many 7227 dayes. 3117
