2 Chronicles 16

1 Asa, by the aid of the Syrians, diverteth Baasha from building of Ramah. 7 Being reproved thereof by Hanani, he putteth him in prison. 11 Among his other acts in his disease he seeketh not God, but to the physicians. 13 His death and burial.

 16:1 ¶ In the sixe 8337 and thirtieth 7970 yeere 8141 of the reigne 4438 of Asa, 609 Baasha 1201 king 4428 of Israel 3478 came vp 5927 z8804 against x5921 Iudah, 3063 and built 1129 z8799 x853 Ramah, 7414 to the intent that y1115 hee might let 5414 z8800 none x1115 goe out 3318 z8802 or come in 935 z8802 to Asa 609 king 4428 of Iudah. 3063

 16:2 Then Asa 609 brought out 3318 z8686 siluer 3701 and golde 2091 out of the treasures 214 x4480 of the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and of the kings 4428 house, 1004 and sent 7971 z8799 to x413 Benhadad 1130 King 4428 of Syria 758 that dwelt 3427 z8802 at Damascus, 1834 saying; 559 z8800

 16:3 [There is] a league 1285 betweene x996 me and thee, as [there was] betweene x996 my father 1 and thy father: 1 beholde, x2009 I haue sent 7971 z8804 thee siluer 3701 and golde, 2091 goe, y3212 z8798 x1980 breake 6565 z8685 thy league 1285 with x854 Baasha 1201 king 4428 of Israel, 3478 that he may depart 5927 z8799 from x4480 x5921 me.

 16:4 And Benhadad 1130 hearkened 8085 z8799 vnto x413 king 4428 Asa, 609 and sent 7971 z8799 x853 the captaines 8269 of his x834 armies 2428 against x413 the cities 5892 of Israel; 3478 and they smote 5221 z8686 x853 Iion, 5859 and Dan, 1835 and Abelmaim, 66 & all x3605 the store-cities 4543 5892 of Naphtali. 5321

 16:5 And it came to passe, x1961 when Baasha 1201 heard 8085 z8800 [it], that hee left off 2308 z8799 building 1129 z8800 x4480 x853 of Ramah, 7414 and let x853 his worke 4399 cease. 7673 z8686

 16:6 Then Asa 609 the king 4428 tooke 3947 z8804 x853 all x3605 Iudah, 3063 and they caried away 5375 z8799 x853 the stones 68 of Ramah, 7414 and the timber 6086 thereof, wherewith x834 Baasha 1201 was a building, 1129 z8804 and hee built 1129 z8799 there with x853 Geba 1387 and Mizpah. 4709

 16:7 ¶ And at that x1931 time 6256 Hanani 2607 the Seer y7200 z8802 x7203 came 935 z8804 to x413 Asa 609 king 4428 of Iudah, 3063 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Because thou hast relyed 8172 z8736 on x5921 the king 4428 of Syria, 758 and not x3808 relyed 8172 z8738 on x5921 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 therefore x5921 x3651 is the hoste 2428 of the king 4428 of Syria 758 escaped 4422 z8738 out of thine hand. 3027 x4480

 16:8 Were x1961 not x3808 the Ethiopians 3569 and the Lubims 3864 a huge 7230 hoste, 2428 with very 3966 many 7235 z8687 charets 7393 and horsemen? 6571 Yet because thou diddest relie 8172 z8736 on x5921 the LORD, 3068 he deliuered 5414 z8804 them into thine hand. 3027

 16:9 For x3588 the eyes 5869 of the LORD 3068 run to and fro 7751 z8789 throughout the whole x3605 earth, 776 to shewe himselfe strong 2388 z8692 in the behalfe of x5973 [them], whose heart 3824 is perfite 8003 towards x413 him. Herein x5921 x2063 thou hast done foolishly; 5528 z8738 therefore, x3588 from hencefoorth 6258 x4480 thou shalt haue 3426 warres. 4421

 16:10 Then Asa 609 was wroth 3707 z8799 with x413 the Seer, y7200 z8802 x7203 and put 5414 z8799 him in a prison-house; 4115 1004 for x3588 he was in a rage 2197 with x5973 him because of x5921 this x2063 thing. And Asa 609 oppressed 7533 z8762 some of x4480 the people 5971 the same x1931 time. 6256

 16:11 ¶ And behold, x2009 the actes 1697 of Asa 609 first 7223 and last, 314 lo, x2009 they [are] written 3789 z8803 in x5921 the booke 5612 of the Kings 4428 of Iudah 3063 and Israel. 3478

 16:12 And Asa 609 in the thirtie 7970 and ninth 8672 yeere 8141 of his reigne, 4438 was diseased 2456 z8799 in his feete, 7272 vntill x5704 his disease 2483 [was] exceeding 4605 [great]: yet x1571 in his disease 2483 hee sought 1875 z8804 not x3808 x853 to the LORD, 3068 but x3588 to the Physicians. 7495 z8802

 16:13 ¶ And Asa 609 slept 7901 z8799 with x5973 his fathers, 1 and died 4191 z8799 in the one 259 and fourtieth 705 yeere 8141 of his reigne. 4427 z8800

 16:14 And they buried 6912 z8799 him in his owne sepulchres 6913 which x834 he had made 3738 z8804 for himselfe in the citie 5892 of Dauid, 1732 and laide 7901 z8686 him in the bed, 4904 which x834 was filled 4390 z8765 with sweet odours, 1314 and diuers kindes 2177 [of spices] prepared y7543 z8794 by the Apothecaries y4842 arte: 4639 x7543 x4842 & they made 8313 z8799 a very 3966 x5704 great 1419 burning 8316 for him.
