2 Chronicles 15

1 Asa with Judah and many of Israel, moved by the prophecy of Azariah the son of Obed, make a solemn Covenant with God. 16 He putteth down Maachah his mother for her idolatry. 18 He bringeth dedicated things into the house of God, and enjoyeth a long peace.

 15:1 ¶ And the Spirit 7307 of God 430 came x1961 vpon x5921 Azariah 5838 the sonne 1121 of Oded. 5752

 15:2 And he went out 3318 z8799 to meet 6440 Asa, 609 and said 559 z8799 vnto him, Heare 8085 z8798 ye me, Asa, 609 and all x3605 Iudah, 3063 and Beniamin, 1144 The LORD 3068 [is] with x5973 you, while yee be x1961 with x5973 him: and if x518 yee seeke 1875 z8799 him, he will be found 4672 z8735 of you: but if x518 ye forsake 5800 z8799 him, he will forsake 5800 z8799 you.

 15:3 Now for a long y7227 season 3117 x7227 Israel 3478 [hath bene] without 3808 the true 571 God, 430 and without x3808 a teaching 3384 z8688 priest, 3548 and without x3808 law. 8451

 15:4 But when they in their trouble 6862 did turne 7725 z8799 vnto x5921 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel, 3478 and sought 1245 z8762 him, hee was found 4672 z8735 of them.

 15:5 And in those x1992 times 6256 [there was] no x369 peace 7965 to him that went out, 3318 z8802 nor to him that came in, 935 z8802 but x3588 great 7227 vexations 4103 [were] vpon x5921 all x3605 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the countreys. 776

 15:6 And nation 1471 was destroyed 3807 z8795 of nation, 1471 and citie 5892 of citie: 5892 for x3588 God 430 did vexe 2000 z8804 them with all x3605 aduersitie. 6869

 15:7 Be ye strong 2388 z8798 x859 therefore, and let not x408 your hands 3027 bee weake: 7503 z8799 for x3588 your worke 6468 shall be 3426 rewarded. 7939

 15:8 And when Asa 609 heard 8085 z8800 these x428 words, 1697 and the prophesie 5016 of Oded 5752 the prophet, 5030 he tooke courage, 2388 z8694 and put away 5674 z8686 the abominable idoles 8251 out of all x4480 x3605 the lande 776 of Iudah 3063 and Beniamin, 1144 and out of x4480 the cities 5892 which x834 hee had taken 3920 z8804 from mount 2022 x4480 Ephraim, 669 and renewed 2318 z8762 x853 the Altar 4196 of the LORD, 3068 that x834 [was] before 6440 the porch 197 of the LORD. 3068

 15:9 And he gathered 6908 z8799 x853 all x3605 Iudah 3063 and Beniamin, 1144 and the strangers 1481 z8802 with x5973 them out of Ephraim 669 x4480 and Manasseh, 4519 and out of Simeon: 8095 x4480 (for x3588 they fell 5307 z8804 to x5921 him out of Israel 3478 x4480 in abundance 7230 when they saw 7200 z8800 that x3588 the LORD 3068 his God 430 [was] with x5973 him.)

 15:10 So they gathered themselues together 6908 z8735 at Ierusalem, 3389 in the third 7992 moneth, 2320 in the fifteenth 2568 6240 yeere 8141 of the reigne 4438 of Asa. 609

 15:11 And they offered 2076 z8799 vnto the LORD 3068 the same x1931 time, 3117 of x4480 the spoile 7998 [which] they had brought, 935 z8689 seuen 7651 hundred 3967 oxen, 1241 and seuen 7651 thousand 505 sheepe. 6629

 15:12 And they entred 935 z8799 into a couenant 1285 to seeke 1875 z8800 x853 the LORD 3068 God 430 of their fathers, 1 with all x3605 their heart 3824 and with all x3605 their soule: 5315

 15:13 That whosoeuer x3605 x834 would not x3808 seeke 1875 z8799 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel, 3478 should be put to death, 4191 z8714 whether 4480 small 6996 or x5704 great, 1419 whether man 376 x4480 or x5704 woman. 802

 15:14 And they sware 7650 z8735 vnto the LORD 3068 with a loud 1419 voice, 6963 and with shouting, 8643 and with trumpets, 2689 and with cornets. 7782

 15:15 And all x3605 Iudah 3063 reioyced 8055 z8799 at x5921 the oath: 7621 for x3588 they had sworne 7650 z8738 with all x3605 their heart, 3824 & sought 1245 z8765 him with their whole x3605 desire, 7522 and he was found 4672 z8735 of them: and the LORD 3068 gaue them rest 5117 z8799 round about. 5439 x4480

 15:16 ¶ And also x1571 concerning Maachah 4601 the mother 517 of Asa 609 the king, 4428 he remooued 5493 z8689 her from beeing Queene, 1377 x4480 because x834 she had made 6213 z8804 an idole 4656 in a groue: 842 and Asa 609 cut downe 3772 z8799 x853 her idole, 4656 and stamped 1854 z8686 [it], and burnt 8313 z8799 [it] at the brooke 5158 Kidron. 6939

 15:17 But the high places 1116 were not x3808 taken away 5493 z8804 out of Israel: 3478 x4480 neuerthelesse x7535 the heart 3824 of Asa 609 was x1961 perfect 8003 all x3605 his dayes. 3117

 15:18 ¶ And he brought y935 z8686 into x935 the house 1004 of God 430 x853 the things that his father 1 had dedicated, 6944 and that he himselfe had dedicated, 6944 siluer, 3701 and gold, 2091 and vessels. 3627

 15:19 And there was x1961 no x3808 [more] warre 4421 vnto x5704 the fiue 2568 and thirtieth 7970 yeere 8141 of the reigne 4438 of Asa. 609
