1 The solemn offering of Solomon at Gibeon. 7 Solomon's choice of wisdom is blessed by God. 13 Solomon's strength and wealth.

 1:1 ¶ And Solomon 8010 the sonne 1121 of Dauid 1732 was strengthned 2388 z8691 in x5921 his kingdome, 4438 and the LORD 3068 his God 430 [was] with x5973 him, & magnified 1431 z8762 him exceedingly. 4605

 1:2 Then Solomon 8010 spake 559 z8799 vnto all x3605 Israel, 3478 to the captaines 8269 of thousands, 505 and of hundreds, 3967 and to the Iudges, 8199 z8802 and to euery x3605 gouernour 5387 in all x3605 Israel, 3478 the chiefe 7218 of the fathers. 1

 1:3 So Solomon 8010 and all x3605 the Congregation 6951 with x5973 him, went y3212 z8799 x1980 to the high place 1116 that x834 [was] at Gibeon, 1391 for x3588 there x8033 was x1961 the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation 4150 of God, 430 which x834 Moses 4872 the seruant 5650 of the LORD 3068 had made 6213 z8804 in the wildernesse. 4057

 1:4 But 61 the Arke 727 of God 430 had Dauid 1732 brought vp 5927 z8689 from Kiriath-iearim, 7157 x4480 to [the place which] Dauid 1732 had prepared 3559 z8687 for it: for x3588 he had pitched 5186 z8804 a tent 168 for it at Ierusalem. 3389

 1:5 Moreouer the brasen 5178 Altar 4196 that x834 Bezaleel 1212 the sonne 1121 of Uri, 221 the sonne 1121 of Hur, 2354 had made, 6213 z8804 hee put 7760 z8804 before 6440 the Tabernacle 4908 of the LORD: 3068 and Solomon 8010 and the Congregation 6951 sought 1875 z8799 vnto it.

 1:6 And Solomon 8010 went vp 5927 z8686 thither x8033 to x5921 the brasen 5178 Altar 4196 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 which x834 [was] at the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation, 4150 and offered 5927 z8686 a thousand 505 burnt offerings 5930 vpon x5921 it.

 1:7 ¶ In that x1931 night 3915 did God 430 appeare 7200 z8738 vnto Solomon, 8010 and saide 559 z8799 vnto him; Aske 7592 z8798 what x4100 I shall giue 5414 z8799 thee.

 1:8 And Solomon 8010 saide 559 z8799 vnto God, 430 Thou x859 hast shewed 6213 z8804 great 1419 mercy 2617 vnto x5973 Dauid 1732 my father, 1 and hast made me to reigne 4427 z8689 in his stead: x8478

 1:9 Now, x6258 O LORD 3068 God, 430 let thy promise 1697 vnto x5973 Dauid 1732 my father 1 be established: 539 z8735 for x3588 thou x859 hast made mee King 4427 z8689 ouer x5921 a people, 5971 like the dust 6083 of the earth 776 in multitude. 7227

 1:10 Giue 5414 z8798 mee now x6258 wisedome 2451 and knowledge, 4093 that I may goe out 3318 z8799 and come in 935 z8799 before 6440 this x2088 people. 5971 For x3588 who x4310 can iudge 8199 z8799 this x2088 x853 thy people, 5971 [that is] so great? 1419

 1:11 And God 430 said 559 z8799 to Solomon, 8010 Because x3282 x834 this x2063 was x1961 in x5973 thine heart, 3824 and thou hast not x3808 asked 7592 z8804 riches, 6239 wealth, 5233 or honour, 3519 nor the life 5315 of thine enemies, 8130 z8802 neither x3808 yet x1571 hast asked 7592 z8804 long y7227 life; 3117 x7227 but hast asked 7592 z8799 wisedome 2451 and knowledge 4093 for thy selfe, that x834 thou mayest iudge 8199 z8799 x853 my people, 5971 ouer x5921 whom x834 I haue made thee King: 4427 z8689

 1:12 Wisedome 2451 and knowledge 4093 is granted 5414 z8803 vnto thee, and I will giue 5414 z8799 thee riches, 6239 and wealth, 5233 and honour, 3519 such as x834 x3651 none x3808 of the kings 4428 haue had, x1961 that x834 haue beene before 6440 thee, neither x3808 shall there any after 310 thee haue x1961 the like. x3651

 1:13 ¶ Then Solomon 8010 came 935 z8799 [from his iourney] to the high place 1116 that x834 [was] at Gibeon, 1391 to Ierusalem, 3389 from before 6440 x4480 the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation, 4150 and reigned 4427 z8799 ouer x5921 Israel. 3478

 1:14 And Solomon 8010 gathered 622 z8799 charets 7393 and horsemen: 6571 and hee had x1961 a thousand 505 and foure 702 hundred 3967 charets, 7393 and twelue 8147 6240 thousand 505 horsemen, 6571 which he placed y3240 z8686 x5117 in the charet-cities, 7393 5892 and with x5973 the King 4428 at Ierusalem. 3389

 1:15 And the King 4428 made 5414 z8799 x853 siluer 3701 and gold 2091 at Ierusalem 3389 [as plenteous] as stones, 68 and Cedar trees 730 made 5414 z8804 hee as the Sycomore trees, 8256 that x834 [are] in the vale 8219 for abundance. 7230

 1:16 And Solomon 8010 had horses 5483 brought y4161 out x4161 of Egypt, 4714 x4480 and linen yarne: 4723 the Kings 4428 merchants 5503 z8802 receiued 3947 z8799 the linnen yarne 4723 at a price. 4242

 1:17 And they fetcht vp 5927 z8799 and brought foorth 3318 z8686 out of Egypt, 4714 x4480 a charet 4818 for sixe 8337 hundred 3967 shekels of siluer, 3701 and an horse 5483 for an hundred 3967 and fiftie: 2572 and so x3651 brought they out 3318 z8686 horses for all x3605 the kings 4428 of the Hittites, 2850 and for the kings 4428 of Syria, 758 by their meanes. 3027
