1 Samuel 7

1 They of Kirjath-Jearim bring the Ark into the house of Abinadab, and sanctify Eleazar his son to keep it. 2 After twenty years 3 the Israelites, by Samuel's means, solemnly repent at Mizpeh. 9 While Samuel prayeth and sacrificeth, the LORD discomfiteth the Philistines by thunder at Eben-ezer. 13 The Philistines are subdued. 15 Samuel peaceably and religiously judgeth Israel.

 7:1 ¶ And the men y582 x376 of Kiriath-iearim 7157 came, 935 z8799 and fetcht vp 5927 z8686 x853 the Arke 727 of the LORD, 3068 and brought 935 z8686 it into x413 the house 1004 of Abinadab 41 in the hill, 1389 and sanctified 6942 z8765 Eleazar 499 his sonne, 1121 to keepe 8104 z8800 x853 the Arke 727 of the LORD. 3068

 7:2 And it came to passe x1961 while 3117 x4480 the Arke 727 abode 3427 z8800 in Kiriath-iearim, 7157 that the time 3117 was long: 7235 z8799 for it was x1961 twentie 6242 yeeres: 8141 and all x3605 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 lamented 5091 z8735 after 310 the LORD. 3068

 7:3 ¶ And Samuel 8050 spake 559 z8799 vnto x413 all x3605 the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 saying, 559 z8800 If x518 ye x859 doe returne 7725 z8802 vnto x413 the LORD 3068 with all x3605 your hearts, 3824 [then] put away 5493 z8685 x853 the strange 5236 gods, 430 and Ashtaroth 6252 from among 8432 x4480 you, and prepare 3559 z8685 your hearts 3824 vnto x413 the LORD, 3068 and serue 5647 z8798 him onely: x905 & he will deliuer 5337 z8686 you out of the hand 3027 x4480 of the Philistines. 6430

 7:4 Then the children 1121 of Israel 3478 did put away 5493 z8686 x853 Baalim, 1168 and Ashtaroth, 6252 and serued 5647 z8799 x853 the LORD 3068 onely. x905

 7:5 And Samuel 8050 said, 559 z8799 Gather 6908 z8798 x853 all x3605 Israel 3478 to Mizpeh, y4708 x4709 and I will pray 6419 z8691 for x1157 you vnto x413 the LORD. 3068

 7:6 And they gathered together 6908 z8735 to Mizpeh, 4709 and drew 7579 z8799 water, 4325 and powred it out 8210 z8799 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 and fasted 6684 z8799 on that x1931 day, 3117 and said 559 z8799 there, x8033 We haue sinned 2398 z8804 against the LORD. 3068 And Samuel 8050 iudged 8199 z8799 x853 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 in Mizpeh. y4708 x4709

 7:7 And when the Philistines 6430 heard 8085 z8799 that x3588 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 were gathered together 6908 z8694 to Mizpeh, y4708 x4709 the lords 5633 of the Philistines 6430 went vp 5927 z8799 against x413 Israel: 3478 and when the children 1121 of Israel 3478 heard 8085 z8799 [it], they were afraid 3372 z8799 of 6440 x4480 the Philistines. 6430

 7:8 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 said 559 z8799 to x413 Samuel, 8050 Cease 2790 z8686 not x408 to crie 2199 z8800 x4480 vnto x413 the LORD 3068 our God 430 for x4480 vs, that he will saue 3467 z8686 vs out of the hand 3027 x4480 of the Philistines. 6430

 7:9 ¶ And Samuel 8050 tooke 3947 z8799 a 259 sucking 2461 lambe, 2924 and offered 5927 z8686 it for a burnt offering 5930 wholly 3632 vnto the LORD; 3068 and Samuel 8050 cried 2199 z8799 vnto x413 the LORD 3068 for x1157 Israel, 3478 and the LORD 3068 heard 6030 z8799 him.

 7:10 And as Samuel 8050 was x1961 offering vp 5927 z8688 the burnt offering, 5930 the Philistines 6430 drewe neere 5066 z8738 to battell 4421 against Israel: 3478 but the LORD 3068 thundred 7481 z8686 with a great 1419 thunder 6963 on that x1931 day 3117 vpon x5921 the Philistines, 6430 and discomfited 2000 z8799 them, and they were smitten 5062 z8735 before 6440 Israel. 3478

 7:11 And the men y582 x376 of Israel 3478 went out 3318 z8799 of x4480 Mizpeh, 4709 and pursued 7291 z8799 x853 the Philistines, 6430 and smote 5221 z8686 them, vntill x5704 [they came] vnder x4480 x8478 Bethcar. 1033

 7:12 Then Samuel 8050 tooke 3947 z8799 a 259 stone, 68 and set 7760 z8799 it betweene x996 Mizpeh 4709 and Shen, 8129 and called 7121 z8799 x853 the name 8034 of it Eben-Ezer, 72 saying, 559 z8799 Hitherto x5704 x2009 hath the LORD 3068 helped 5826 z8804 vs.

 7:13 ¶ So the Philistines 6430 were subdued, 3665 z8735 and they came 935 z8800 no x3808 more 3254 z8804 x5750 into the coast 1366 of Israel: 3478 and the hand 3027 of the LORD 3068 was x1961 against the Philistines, 6430 all x3605 the dayes 3117 of Samuel. 8050

 7:14 And the cities 5892 which x834 the Philistines 6430 had taken 3947 z8804 from x4480 x854 Israel, 3478 were restored 7725 z8799 to Israel, 3478 from Ekron 6138 x4480 euen vnto x5704 Gath, 1661 and the coasts 1366 thereof did Israel 3478 deliuer 5337 z8689 out of the hands 3027 x4480 of the Philistines: 6430 and there was x1961 peace 7965 betweene x996 Israel 3478 and the Amorites. 567

 7:15 And Samuel 8050 iudged 8199 z8799 x853 Israel 3478 all x3605 the dayes 3117 of his life. 2416

 7:16 And he went 1980 z8804 from 1767 x4880 yeere 8141 to yeere 8141 in circuit 5437 z8804 to Bethel, 1008 and Gilgal, 1537 and Mizpeh, 4709 and iudged 8199 z8804 x853 Israel 3478 in x854 all x3605 those x428 places. 4725

 7:17 And his returne 8666 [was] to Ramah: 7414 for x3588 there x8033 [was] his house: 1004 and there x8033 hee iudged 8199 z8804 x853 Israel, 3478 and there x8033 hee built 1129 z8799 an altar 4196 vnto the LORD. 3068
