1 Samuel 29

1 David marching with the Philistines, 3 is disallowed by their princes. 6 Achish dismisseth him, with commendations of his fidelity.

 29:1 ¶ Now the Philistines 6430 gathered together 6908 z8799 x853 all x3605 their armies 4264 to Aphek: 663 and the Israelites 3478 pitched 2583 z8802 by a fountaine 5869 which x834 [is] in Iezreel. 3157

 29:2 And the lords 5633 of the Philistines 6430 passed on 5674 z8802 by hundreds, 3967 and by thousands: 505 but Dauid 1732 and his men y582 x376 passed on 5674 z8802 in the rere-ward 314 with x5973 Achish. 397

 29:3 Then said 559 z8799 the princes 8269 of the Philistines, 6430 What x4100 [doe] these x428 Hebrewes 5680 [here]? And Achish 397 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 the princes 8269 of the Philistines, 6430 [Is] not x3808 this x2088 Dauid 1732 the seruant 5650 of Saul 7586 the king 4428 of Israel, 3478 which x834 hath bene x1961 with x854 me these x2088 dayes, 3117 or x176 these x2088 yeeres, 8141 and I haue found 4672 z8804 no x3808 fault 3972 in him since 3117 x4480 he fell 5307 z8800 [vnto me], vnto x5704 this x2088 day? 3117

 29:4 And the princes 8269 of the Philistines 6430 were wroth 7107 z8799 with x5973 him, and the princes 8269 of the Philistines 6430 said 559 z8799 vnto him, Make y7725 z0 this fellow y376 returne, 7725 z8685 x853 x376 that he may goe againe 7725 z8799 to x413 his place 4725 which x834 x8033 thou hast appointed 6485 z8689 him, and let him not x3808 go downe 3381 z8799 with x5973 vs to battel, 4421 lest x3808 in the battell 4421 he be x1961 an aduersary 7854 to vs: for wherewith x4100 should hee reconcile 7521 z8691 himselfe x2088 vnto x413 his master? 113 should it not x3808 be with the heads 7218 of these x1992 men? y582 x376

 29:5 [Is] not x3808 this x2088 Dauid, 1732 of whom x834 they sang 6030 z8799 one to another in daunces, 4246 saying, 559 z8800 Saul 7586 slew 5221 z8689 his thousands, 505 and Dauid 1732 his ten thousands? 7233

 29:6 ¶ Then Achish 397 called 7121 z8799 x413 Dauid, 1732 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Surely, as the LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 thou x859 hast bene vpright, 3477 and thy going out 3318 z8800 and thy comming in 935 z8800 with x854 me in the hoste 4264 is good 2896 in my sight: 5869 for x3588 I haue not x3808 found 4672 z8804 euil 7451 in thee, since the day 3117 x4480 of thy comming 935 z8800 vnto x413 me vnto x5704 this x2088 day: 3117 neuertheles, the lords 5633 x5869 fauour 2896 thee x859 not. y5869 x3808

 29:7 Wherefore now x6258 returne 7725 z8798 and goe y3212 z8798 x1980 in peace, 7965 that thou displease 6213 7451 5869 z8799 not x3808 the lords 5633 of the Philistines. 6430

 29:8 ¶ And Dauid 1732 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Achish, 397 But x3588 what x4100 haue I done? 6213 z8804 and what x4100 hast thou found 4672 z8804 in thy seruant 5650 so long x4480 x3117 as y3117 x834 I haue bene x1961 with x6440 thee y6440 vnto x5704 this x2088 day, 3117 that x3588 I may not x3808 goe y935 z8799 x1980 fight 3898 z8738 against the enemies 341 z8802 of my lord 113 the king? 4428

 29:9 And Achish 397 answered, 6030 z8799 and said 559 z8799 to x413 Dauid, 1732 I know 3045 z8804 that x3588 thou x859 [art] good 2896 in my sight, 5869 as an Angel 4397 of God: 430 notwithstanding x389 the Princes 8269 of the Philistines 6430 haue said, 559 z8804 Hee shall not x3808 goe vp 5927 z8799 with x5973 vs to the battell. 4421

 29:10 Wherfore now x6258 rise vp early 7925 z8685 in the morning, 1242 with thy masters 113 seruants 5650 that x834 are come 935 z8804 with x854 thee: and assoone as yee be vp early 7925 z8689 in the morning, 1242 and haue light, y215 z8804 x216 depart. y3212 z8798 x1980

 29:11 So Dauid 1732 and his men y582 x376 rose vp early 7925 z8686 to depart y3212 z8800 x1980 in the morning, 1242 to returne 7725 z8800 into x413 the land 776 of the Philistines; 6430 and the Philistines 6430 went vp 5927 z8804 to Iezreel. 3157
