1 Samuel 26

1 Saul, by the discovery of the Ziphites, cometh to Hachilah against David. 5 David, coming into the trench, stayeth Abishai from killing Saul, but taketh his spear and cruse. 13 David reproveth Abner, 18 and exhorteth Saul. 21 Saul acknowledgeth his sin.

 26:1 ¶ And the Ziphites 2130 came 935 z8799 vnto x413 Saul 7586 to Gibeah, 1390 saying, 559 z8800 Doeth not x3808 Dauid 1732 hide y5641 z8693 himselfe x5641 in the hill 1389 of Hachilah, 2444 [which is] before 6440 x5921 Ieshimon? 3452

 26:2 Then Saul 7586 arose, 6965 z8799 and went downe 3381 z8799 to x413 the wildernesse 4057 of Ziph, 2128 hauing three 7969 thousand 505 chosen 977 z8803 men 376 of Israel 3478 with x854 him, to seeke 1245 z8763 x853 Dauid 1732 in the wildernesse 4057 of Ziph. 2128

 26:3 And Saul 7586 pitched 2583 z8799 in the hill 1389 of Hachilah, 2444 which x834 [is] before 6440 x5921 Ieshimon 3452 by x5921 the way: 1870 but Dauid 1732 abode 3427 z8802 in the wildernesse, 4057 and he saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 Saul 7586 came 935 z8804 after 310 him into the wildernesse. 4057

 26:4 Dauid 1732 therefore sent out 7971 z8799 spies, 7270 z8764 and vnderstood 3045 z8799 that x3588 Saul 7586 was come y935 z8804 in x935 x413 very deed. 3559 z8737

 26:5 ¶ And Dauid 1732 arose, 6965 z8799 and came 935 z8799 to x413 the place 4725 where x834 x8033 Saul 7586 had pitched: 2583 z8804 and Dauid 1732 beheld 7200 z8799 x853 the place 4725 where x834 x8033 Saul 7586 lay, 7901 z8804 and Abner 74 the sonne 1121 of Ner 5369 the captaine 8269 of his hoste: 6635 and Saul 7586 lay 7901 z8802 in the trench, 4570 and the people 5971 pitched 2583 z8802 round about 5439 him.

 26:6 Then answered 6030 z8799 Dauid, 1732 and sayd 559 z8799 to x413 Ahimelech 288 the Hittite, 2850 and to x413 Abishai 52 the sonne 1121 of Zeruiah 6870 brother 251 to Ioab, 3097 saying, 559 z8800 Who x4310 will goe downe 3381 z8799 with x854 me to x413 Saul 7586 to x413 the campe? 4264 And Abishai 52 sayd, 559 z8799 I x589 will goe downe 3381 z8799 with x5973 thee.

 26:7 So Dauid 1732 and Abishai 52 came 935 z8799 to x413 the people 5971 by night, 3915 and behold, x2009 Saul 7586 lay 7901 z8802 sleeping 3463 within the trench, 4570 and his speare 2595 stucke 4600 z8803 in the ground 776 at his bolster: 4763 but Abner 74 and the people 5971 lay 7901 z8802 round about 5439 him.

 26:8 Then said 559 z8799 Abishai 52 to x413 Dauid, 1732 God 430 hath deliuered 5462 z8765 x853 thine enemie 341 z8802 into thine hand 3027 this day: 3117 now x6258 therefore let mee smite 5221 z8686 him, I pray thee, x4994 with [the] speare, 2595 euen to the earth 776 at once, 6471 259 and I will not x3808 [smite] him the second time. 8138 z8799

 26:9 And Dauid 1732 sayd 559 z8799 to x413 Abishai, 52 Destroy 7843 z8686 him not: x408 for x3588 who x4310 can stretch forth 7971 z8804 his hand 3027 against the LORDS 3068 Anointed, 4899 and be guiltlesse? 5352 z8738

 26:10 Dauid 1732 said 559 z8799 furthermore, x3588 x518 As the LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 the LORD 3068 shal smite 5062 z8799 him, or x176 his day 3117 shall come 935 z8799 to die, 4191 z8804 or x176 hee shall descend 3381 z8799 into battell, 4421 and perish. 5595 z8738

 26:11 The LORD 3068 x4480 forbid 2486 that I should stretch foorth 7971 z8800 x4480 mine hand 3027 against the LORDS 3068 Anointed: 4899 but I pray thee, x4994 take 3947 z8798 thou now x6258 x853 the speare 2595 that x834 is at his bolster, 4763 and the cruse 6835 of water, 4325 and let vs goe. y3212 z8799 x1980

 26:12 So Dauid 1732 tooke 3947 z8799 x853 the speare 2595 and the cruse 6835 of water 4325 from Sauls 7586 bolster, y7226 x4763 and they gate them away, y3212 z8799 x1980 and no x369 man saw 7200 z8802 it, nor x369 knew 3045 z8802 it, neither x369 awaked: 6974 z8688 for x3588 they were all x3605 asleepe, 3463 because x3588 a deepe sleepe 8639 [from] the LORD 3068 was fallen 5307 z8804 vpon x5921 them.

 26:13 ¶ Then Dauid 1732 went ouer 5674 z8799 to the other side, 5676 and stood 5975 z8799 on x5921 the toppe 7218 of an hill 2022 afarre off 7350 x4480 (a great 7227 space 4725 being betweene x996 them:)

 26:14 And Dauid 1732 cryed 7121 z8799 to x413 the people, 5971 and to x413 Abner 74 the sonne 1121 of Ner, 5369 saying, 559 z8800 Answerest 6030 z8799 thou not, x3808 Abner? 74 Then Abner 74 answered, 6030 z8799 and sayd, 559 z8799 Who x4310 [art] thou x859 [that] cryest 7121 z8804 to x413 the King? 4428

 26:15 And Dauid 1732 said 559 z8799 to x413 Abner, 74 [Art] not x3808 thou x859 a valiant man? 376 and who x4310 [is] like to thee x3644 in Israel? 3478 Wherefore x4100 then hast thou not x3808 kept 8104 z8804 x413 thy lord 113 the king? 4428 for x3588 there came 935 z8804 one 259 of the people 5971 in, to destroy 7843 z8687 x853 the king 4428 thy lord. 113

 26:16 This x2088 thing 1697 [is] not x3808 good 2896 that x834 thou hast done: 6213 z8804 as the LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 ye x859 are worthy 1121 to die, 4194 because x834 yee haue not x3808 kept 8104 z8804 x5921 your master 113 the LORDS 3068 Anointed: 4899 and now x6258 see 7200 z8798 where x335 the Kings 4428 speare 2595 is, and the cruse 6835 of water 4325 that x834 was at his bolster. 4763

 26:17 And Saul 7586 knew 5234 z8686 x853 Dauids 1732 voyce, 6963 and said, 559 z8799 Is this x2088 thy voice, 6963 my sonne 1121 Dauid? 1732 And Dauid 1732 saide, 559 z8799 It is my voice, 6963 my lord, 113 O king. 4428

 26:18 And he said, 559 z8799 Wherefore x4100 doeth my lord 113 thus x2088 pursue 7291 z8802 after 310 his seruant? 5650 for x3588 what x4100 haue I done? 6213 z8804 or what x4100 euill 7451 is in mine hand? 3027

 26:19 Now x6258 therefore, I pray thee, x4994 let my lord 113 the king 4428 heare 8085 z8799 x853 the words 1697 of his seruant: 5650 If x518 the LORD 3068 haue stirred thee vp 5496 z8689 against mee, let him accept 7306 z8686 an offering: 4503 but if x518 they [be] the children 1121 of men, 120 cursed 779 z8803 [be] they x1992 before 6440 the LORD: 3068 for x3588 they haue driuen y1644 z8765 me out x1644 this day 3117 from abiding 5596 z8692 x4480 in the inheritance 5159 of the LORD, 3068 saying, 559 z8800 Goe y3212 z8798 x1980 serue 5647 z8798 other 312 gods. 430

 26:20 Now x6258 therefore, let not x408 my blood 1818 fall 5307 z8799 to the earth 776 before x4480 x5048 the face 6440 of the LORD: 3068 for x3588 the king 4428 of Israel 3478 is come out 3318 z8804 to seeke 1245 z8763 x853 a y259 flea, 6550 as when x834 one x259 doeth hunt 7291 z8799 a partridge 7124 in the mountaines. 2022

 26:21 ¶ Then said 559 z8799 Saul, 7586 I haue sinned: 2398 z8804 Returne, 7725 z8798 my sonne 1121 Dauid, 1732 for x3588 I will no x3808 more x5750 doe thee harme, 7489 z8686 because x8478 x834 my soule 5315 was precious 3365 z8804 in thine eyes 5869 this x2088 day: 3117 behold, x2009 I haue played the foole, 5528 z8689 and haue erred 7686 z8799 exceedingly. 7235 3966 z8687

 26:22 And Dauid 1732 answered, 6030 z8799 and sayd, 559 z8799 Behold x2009 the kings 4428 speare, 2595 and let one 259 of the yong men 5288 x4480 come ouer 5674 z8799 and fetch 3947 z8799 it.

 26:23 The LORD 3068 render 7725 z8686 to euery man 376 x853 his righteousnesse, 6666 and his faithfulnesse: 530 for x834 the LORD 3068 deliuered 5414 z8804 thee into my hand 3027 to day, 3117 but I would 14 z8804 not x3808 stretch foorth 7971 z8800 mine hand 3027 against the LORDS 3068 Anointed. 4899

 26:24 And behold, x2009 as x834 thy life 5315 was much set x1431 by y1431 z8804 this x2088 day 3117 in mine eyes: 5869 so x3651 let my life 5315 bee much set x1431 by y1431 z8799 in the eyes 5869 of the LORD, 3068 and let him deliuer 5337 z8686 me out of all x4480 x3605 tribulation. 6869

 26:25 Then Saul 7586 said 559 z8799 to x413 Dauid, 1732 Blessed 1288 z8803 be thou, x859 my sonne 1121 Dauid: 1732 thou shalt both x1571 doe y6213 z8799 great 6213 z8800 [things], and also x1571 shalt still y3201 z8800 preuaile. 3201 z8799 So Dauid 1732 went y3212 z8799 x1980 on his way, 1870 and Saul 7586 returned 7725 z8804 to his place. 4725
