1 Samuel 21

1 David at Nob obtaineth of Ahimelech hallowed bread. 7 Doeg was present. 8 David taketh Goliath's sword. 10 David at Gath feigneth himself mad.

 21:1 ¶ Then came 935 z8799 Dauid 1732 to Nob, 5011 to x413 Ahimelech 288 the Priest, 3548 and Ahimelech 288 was afraide 2729 z8799 at the meeting 7125 z8800 of Dauid, 1732 and said 559 z8799 vnto him, Why x4069 [art] thou x859 alone, x905 and no x369 man 376 with x854 thee?

 21:2 And Dauid 1732 said 559 z8799 vnto Ahimelech 288 the Priest, 3548 The king 4428 hath commanded 6680 z8765 me a businesse, 1697 and hath said 559 z8799 vnto x413 me, Let no x408 man 376 know 3045 z8799 any thing 3972 of x853 the businesse 1697 whereabout x834 I x595 send 7971 z8802 thee, and what x834 I haue commanded 6680 z8765 thee: and I haue appointed 3045 z8776 [my] seruants 5288 to x413 such 6423 and such 492 a place. 4725

 21:3 Now x6258 therefore what x4100 is 3426 vnder x8478 thine hand? 3027 giue 5414 z8798 me fiue 2568 loaues of bread 3899 in mine hand, 3027 or x176 what there is present. 4672 z8737

 21:4 And the Priest 3548 answered 6030 z8799 x853 Dauid, 1732 and said, 559 z8799 There is no x369 common 2455 bread 3899 vnder x413 x8478 mine hand, 3027 but x3588 x518 there is 3426 hallowed 6944 bread: 3899 if x518 the young men 5288 haue kept y8104 z8738 themselues x8104 at least 389 from women. 802 x4480

 21:5 And Dauid 1732 answered 6030 z8799 x853 the Priest, 3548 and said 559 z8799 vnto him, Of x3588 x518 a trueth y518 women 802 haue beene kept 6113 z8803 from vs about these three 8032 dayes, 8543 since I came out, 3318 z8800 and the vessels 3627 of the young men 5288 are holy, 6944 and [the bread] is in a manner 1870 common, 2455 yea, x637 though x3588 it were sanctified 6942 z8799 this day 3117 in the vessell. 3627

 21:6 So the Priest 3548 gaue 5414 z8799 him hallowed 6944 [bread]; for x3588 there was x1961 no x3808 bread 3899 there, x8033 but x3588 x518 the Shewbread 3899 6440 that was taken 5493 z8716 from before 6440 x4480 the LORD, 3068 to put 7760 z8800 hote 2527 bread 3899 in the day 3117 when it was taken away. 3947 z8736

 21:7 Now a certaine man 376 of the seruants 5650 x4480 of Saul 7586 [was] there x8033 that x1931 day, 3117 detained 6113 z8737 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 and his name 8034 [was] Doeg 1673 an Edomite, 130 the chiefest 47 of the heardmen 7462 z8802 that x834 [belonged] to Saul. 7586

 21:8 ¶ And Dauid 1732 said 559 z8799 vnto Ahimelech, 288 And is there 3426 not 371 here x6311 vnder x8478 thine hand 3027 speare 2595 or x176 sword? 2719 for x3588 I haue neither x1571 x3808 brought 3947 z8804 my sword 2719 nor x1571 my weapons 3627 with x3027 mee, y3027 because x3588 the kings 4428 businesse 1697 required 1961 z8804 haste. 5169 z8803

 21:9 And the Priest 3548 said, 559 z8799 The sword 2719 of Goliath 1555 the Philistine, 6430 whome x834 thou slewest 5221 z8689 in the valley 6010 of Elah, 425 behold, x2009 it x1931 is heere wrapt 3874 z8803 in a cloth 8071 behinde 310 the Ephod: 646 if x518 thou wilt take 3947 z8799 that, take 3947 z8798 it; for x3588 there is no x369 other 312 saue 2108 that, here. 2088 And dauid 1732 saide, 559 z8799 There is none x369 like that, giue 5414 z8798 it me.

 21:10 ¶ And Dauid 1732 arose, 6965 z8799 and fled 1272 z8799 that x1931 day, 3117 for feare y6440 of x4480 x6440 Saul, 7586 and went 935 z8799 to x413 Achish, 397 the king 4428 of Gath. 1661

 21:11 And the seruants 5650 of Achish 397 sayd 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Is not x3808 this x2088 Dauid 1732 the king 4428 of the land? 776 Did they not x3808 sing y6030 z8799 one to another x6030 of him 2088 in daunces, 4246 saying, 559 z8800 Saul 7586 hath slaine 5221 z8689 his thousands, 505 and Dauid 1732 his ten thousands? 7233

 21:12 And Dauid 1732 layd vp 7760 z8799 x853 these x428 wordes 1697 in his heart, 3824 and was sore 3966 afraid 3372 z8799 of 6440 x4480 Achish 397 the king 4428 of Gath. 1661

 21:13 And he changed 8138 z8762 x853 his behauiour 2940 before 5869 them, and fained himselfe mad 1984 z8704 in their hands, 3027 and scrabled 8427 z8762 on x5921 the doores 1817 of the gate, 8179 and let his spittle 7388 fall downe 3381 z8686 vpon x413 his beard. 2206

 21:14 Then saide 559 z8799 Achish 397 vnto x413 his seruants, 5650 Loe, x2009 you see 7200 z8799 the man 376 is mad: 7696 z8693 wherefore x4100 [then] haue yee brought 935 z8686 him to x413 mee?

 21:15 Haue I x589 need 2638 of mad-men, 7696 z8794 that x3588 ye haue brought 935 z8689 x853 this x2088 fellow to play the mad-man 7696 z8692 in my presence? x5921 Shall this x2088 [fellow] come 935 z8799 into x413 my house? 1004
