1 Chronicles 28

1 David, in a solemn assembly, having declared God's favour to him, and promise to his son Solomon, exhorteth them to fear God. 9, 20 He encourageth Solomon to build the Temple. 11 He giveth him patterns for the form, and gold and silver for the materials.

 28:1 ¶ And Dauid 1732 assembled 6950 z8686 x853 all x3605 the Princes 8269 of Israel, 3478 the Princes 8269 of the tribes, 7626 and the captains 8269 of the companies 4256 that ministred 8334 z8764 x853 to the king 4428 by course: y4256 and the captaines 8269 ouer the thousands, 505 and captaines 8269 ouer the hundreds, 3967 and the stewards 8269 ouer all x3605 the substance 7399 and possession 4735 of the King, 4428 and of his sonnes, 1121 with x5973 the officers, 5631 and with the mightie men, 1368 and with all x3605 the valiant x2428 men, y2428 x1368 vnto x413 Ierusalem. 3389

 28:2 Then Dauid 1732 the king 4428 stood vp 6965 z8799 vpon x5921 his feete, 7272 and said, 559 z8799 Heare 8085 z8798 me, my brethren, 251 and my people: 5971 As for me, I x589 had in x5973 mine heart 3824 to builde 1129 z8800 an house 1004 of rest 4496 for the Arke 727 of the Couenant 1285 of the LORD, 3068 and for the footestoole 1916 7272 of our God, 430 & had made ready 3559 z8689 for the building. 1129 z8800

 28:3 But God 430 said 559 z8804 vnto me, Thou shalt not x3808 builde 1129 z8799 an house 1004 for my Name, 8034 because x3588 thou x859 [hast been] a man 376 of warre, 4421 and hast shed 8210 z8804 blood. 1818

 28:4 Howbeit, the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 chose 977 z8799 me before all x4480 x3605 the house 1004 of my father, 1 to be x1961 king 4428 ouer x5921 Israel 3478 for euer: 5769 for x3588 he hath chosen 977 z8804 Iudah 3063 to be the ruler; 5057 & of the house 1004 of Iudah, 3063 the house 1004 of my father; 1 and among the sonnes 1121 of my father, 1 he liked 7521 z8804 me to make [me] king 4427 z8687 ouer x5921 all x3605 Israel: 3478

 28:5 And of all x4480 x3605 my sonnes 1121 (for x3588 the LORD 3068 hath giuen 5414 z8804 me many 7227 sonnes) 1121 hee hath chosen 977 z8799 Solomon 8010 my sonne, 1121 to sit 3427 z8800 vpon x5921 the throne 3678 of the kingdome 4438 of the LORD 3068 ouer x5921 Israel. 3478

 28:6 And he said 559 z8799 vnto me, Solomon 8010 thy sonne, 1121 hee x1931 shall build 1129 z8799 my house 1004 and my courts: 2691 for x3588 I haue chosen 977 z8804 him to be my sonne, 1121 and I x589 will be x1961 his father. 1

 28:7 Moreouer, I will establish 3559 z8689 x853 his kingdome 4438 for euer, 5769 x5704 if x518 he be constant 2388 z8799 to do 6213 z8800 my commandements 4687 and my iudgements, 4941 as at this x2088 day. 3117

 28:8 Now x6258 therefore in the sight 5869 of all x3605 Israel, 3478 the congregation 6951 of the LORD, 3068 and in the audience 241 of our God, 430 keepe, 8104 z8798 and seeke 1875 z8798 for all x3605 the commandements 4687 of the LORD 3068 your God, 430 that x4616 ye may possesse 3423 z8799 x853 this good 2896 land, 776 and leaue it for an inheritance 5157 z8689 for your children 1121 after 310 you, for y5704 euer. 5769 x5704

 28:9 ¶ And thou, x859 Solomon 8010 my sonne, 1121 know 3045 z8798 thou x853 the God 430 of thy father, 1 and serue 5647 z8798 him with a perfite 8003 heart, 3820 and with a willing 2655 minde: 5315 for x3588 the LORD 3068 searcheth 1875 z8802 all x3605 hearts, 3824 and vnderstandeth 995 z8688 all x3605 the imaginations 3336 of the thoughts: 4284 if x518 thou seeke 1875 z8799 him, he will be found 4672 z8735 of thee, but if x518 thou forsake 5800 z8799 him, he will cast thee off 2186 z8686 for euer. y5703 x5704

 28:10 Take heed 7200 z8798 now, x6258 for x3588 the LORD 3068 hath chosen 977 z8804 thee to builde 1129 z8800 an house 1004 for the Sanctuarie: 4720 be strong, 2388 z8798 and doe 6213 z8798 [it].

 28:11 ¶ Then Dauid 1732 gaue 5414 z8799 to Solomon 8010 his sonne 1121 x853 the paterne 8403 of the porch, 197 and of the houses 1004 thereof, and of the treasuries 1597 thereof, and of the vpper chambers 5944 thereof, and of the inner 6442 parlours 2315 thereof, and of the place 1004 of the Mercie-seate. 3727

 28:12 And the paterne 8403 of all x3605 that x834 hee had x1961 by the spirit, 7307 of x5973 the courts 2691 of the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and of all x3605 the chambers 3957 round about, 5439 of the treasuries 214 of the house 1004 of God, 430 and of the treasuries 214 of the dedicate things: 6944

 28:13 Also for the courses 4256 of the Priests 3548 and the Leuites, 3881 & for all x3605 the worke 4399 of the seruice 5656 of the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and for all x3605 the vessels 3627 of seruice 5656 in the house 1004 of the LORD. 3068

 28:14 [Hee gaue] of golde 2091 by weight, 4948 for [things] of golde, 2091 for all x3605 instruments 3627 of all manner of seruice: 5656 siluer also for all x3605 instruments 3627 of siluer, 3701 by weight, 4948 for all x3605 instruments 3627 of euery kinde of seruice: 5656

 28:15 Euen the weight 4948 for the Candlestickes 4501 of golde, 2091 and for their lampes 5216 of golde, 2091 by weight 4948 for euery candlesticke, 4501 and for the lampes 5216 thereof: and for the Candlestickes 4501 of siluer 3701 by weight, 4948 [both] for the Candlesticke 4501 and also for the lampes 5216 thereof, according to the vse 5656 of euery candlesticke. 4501

 28:16 And by weight 4948 [hee gaue] golde 2091 for the tables 7979 of shew-bread, 4635 for euery table, 7979 and likewise siluer 3701 for the tables 7979 of siluer. 3701

 28:17 Also pure 2889 golde 2091 for the fleshhookes, 4207 and the bowles, 4219 and the cups: 7184 and for the golden 2091 basins 3713 [hee gaue] golde by weight, 4948 for euery basin; 3713 and likewise siluer by weight, 4948 for euery basin 3713 of siluer. 3701

 28:18 And for the Altar 4196 of incense, 7004 refined 2212 z8794 golde 2091 by weight; 4948 and gold 2091 for the paterne 8403 of the charet 4818 of the Cherubims, 3742 that spread out 6566 z8802 [their wings], and couered 5526 z8802 the Arke 727 of the Couenant 1285 of the LORD. 3068

 28:19 All x3605 this, [sayd Dauid], the LORD 3068 made mee understand 7919 z8689 in writing 3791 by [his] hand 3027 x4480 vpon x5921 mee, [euen] all x3605 the workes 4399 of this paterne. 8403

 28:20 And Dauid 1732 said 559 z8799 to Solomon 8010 his sonne, 1121 Be strong, 2388 z8798 and of good courage, 553 z8798 and doe 6213 z8798 [it]: feare 3372 z8799 not, x408 nor x408 be dismayed, 2865 z8735 for x3588 the LORD 3068 God, 430 [euen] my God, 430 [will be] with x5973 thee; he will not x3808 faile 7503 z8686 thee, nor x3808 forsake 5800 z8799 thee, vntill x5704 thou hast finished 3615 z8800 all x3605 the worke 4399 for the seruice 5656 of the house 1004 of the LORD. 3068

 28:21 And behold, x2009 the courses 4256 of the Priests 3548 and the Leuites, 3881 [euen they shall be] with thee for all x3605 the seruice 5656 of the house 1004 of God, 430 and there [shall be] with x5973 thee for all manner x3605 of workemanship, 4399 euery x3605 willing 5081 skilfull man, 2451 for any maner x3605 of seruice: 5656 also the Princes 8269 and all x3605 the people 5971 [will bee] wholly x3605 at thy commandement. 1697
