1 Chronicles 11

1 David by a general consent is made king at Hebron. 4 He winneth the castle of Zion from the Jebusites by Joab's valour. 10 A catalogue of David's mighty men.

 11:1 ¶ Then all x3605 Israel 3478 gathered y6908 z8735 themselues x6908 to x413 Dauid 1732 vnHebron, 2275 saying, 559 z8800 Behold, x2009 wee x587 [are] thy bone 6106 and thy flesh. 1320

 11:2 And moreouer x1571 in time y8543 past, 8032 x8543 x1571 euen x1571 [when] Saul 7586 was x1961 king, 4428 thou x859 [wast he] that leddest out 3318 z8688 and broughtest in 935 z8688 x853 Israel: 3478 and the LORD 3068 thy God 430 said 559 z8799 vnto thee, Thou x859 shalt feede 7462 z8799 x853 my people 5971 x853 Israel, 3478 and thou x859 shalt be x1961 ruler 5057 ouer x5921 my people y1571 x5971 Israel. 3478

 11:3 Therefore came 935 z8799 all x3605 the Elders 2205 of Israel 3478 to x413 the king 4428 to Hebron, 2275 and Dauid 1732 made 3772 z8799 a couenant 1285 with them in Hebron 2275 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 and they annointed 4886 z8799 x853 Dauid 1732 king 4428 ouer x5921 Israel, 3478 according to the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 by 3027 Samuel. 8050

 11:4 ¶ And Dauid 1732 & all x3605 Israel, 3478 went y3212 z8799 x1980 to Ierusalem, 3389 which x1931 [is] Iebus, 2982 where x8033 the Iebusites 2983 [were] the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of the land. 776

 11:5 And the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of Iebus 2982 said 559 z8799 to Dauid, 1732 Thou shalt not x3808 come 935 z8799 hither. x2008 Neuerthelesse Dauid 1732 tooke 3920 z8799 x853 the castle 4686 of Zion, 6726 which x1931 [is] the citie 5892 of Dauid. 1732

 11:6 And Dauid 1732 said, 559 z8799 Whosoeuer x3605 smiteth 5221 z8688 the Iebusites 2983 first, 7223 shall be x1961 chiefe, 7218 and captaine. 8269 So Ioab 3097 the sonne 1121 of Zeruiah 6870 went y5927 z0 first y7223 vp, 5927 z8799 x7223 and was x1961 chiefe. 7218

 11:8 And he built 1129 z8799 the citie 5892 round about, 5439 x4480 euen from x4480 Millo 4407 round about: 5439 and Ioab 3097 repaired 2421 z8762 x853 the rest 7605 of the citie. 5892

 11:9 So Dauid 1732 waxed y3212 z8799 greater y1980 z8800 and greater: 1980 y1419 x1431 for the LORD 3068 of hostes 6635 [was] with x5973 him.

 11:10 ¶ These x428 also [are] the chiefe 7218 of the mightie men, 1368 whom x834 Dauid 1732 had, who strenthened y2388 z8693 themselues x2388 with x5973 him in his kingdome, 4438 [and] with x5973 all x3605 Israel, 3478 to make him king 4427 z8687 according to the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 concerning x5921 Israel. 3478

 11:11 And this x428 [is] the number 4557 of the mightie men, 1368 whom x834 Dauid 1732 [had]: Iashobeam 3434 an Hachmonite, 2453 x1121 the chiefe 7218 of the captaines: 7991 z8675 y7970 he x1931 lift vp 5782 z8790 x853 his speare 2595 against x5921 three 7969 hundred, 3967 slaine 2491 [by him] at one 259 time. 6471

 11:12 And after 310 him [was] Eleazar 499 the sonne 1121 of Dodo 1734 the Ahohite, 266 who x1931 was one of the three 7969 mighties. 1368

 11:15 ¶ Now three 7969 of x4480 the thirtie 7970 captaines, 7218 went downe 3381 z8799 to x5921 the rocke 6697 of x413 Dauid, 1732 into x413 the caue 4631 of Adullam, 5725 and the host 4264 of the Philistines 6430 encamped 2583 z8802 in the valley 6010 of Rephaim. 7497

 11:16 And Dauid 1732 [was] then x227 in the hold, 4686 and the Philistines 6430 garison 5333 [was] then x227 at Bethlehem. 1035

 11:17 And Dauid 1732 longed 183 z8691 and said, 559 z8799 Oh that x4310 one would giue me drinke 8248 z8686 of the water 4325 of the well 953 x4480 of Bethlehem, 1035 that x834 [is] at the gate. 8179

 11:19 And said, 559 z8799 My God 430 x4480 forbid y2486 it x2486 mee, that I should doe 6213 z8800 x4480 this thing. 2063 Shall I drinke 8354 z8799 the blood 1818 of these x428 men, y582 x376 that haue put their liues x5315 in ieopardie? y5315 for x3588 with [the ieopardie of] their liues, 5315 they brought 935 z8689 it: therfore he would 14 z8804 not x3808 drink 8354 z8800 it.  11:20 ¶ And Abishai 52 the brother 251 of Ioab, 3097 he x1931 was x1961 chiefe 7218 of the three. 7969 For lifting vp 5782 z8790 x853 his speare 2595 against x5921 three 7969 hundred, 3967 he x1931 slew 2491 [them], and had a name 8034 among the three. 7969

 11:21 Of x4480 the three, 7969 hee was more honourable 3513 z8737 then the two, 8147 for he was x1961 their captaine; 8269 howbeit, he attained 935 z8804 not x3808 to x5704 the [first] three. 7969

 11:25 Behold, 2009 hee x1931 was honourable 3513 z8737 among x4480 the thirtie, 7970 but attained 935 z8804 not x3808 to x413 the [first] three: 7969 and Dauid 1732 set 7760 z8799 him ouer x5921 his guard. 4928

 11:26 ¶ Also the valiant men 1368 of the armies 2428 [were] Asahel 6214 the brother 251 of Ioab, 3097 Elhanan 445 the sonne 1121 of Dodo 1734 of Bethlehem. 1035 x4480
