Numbers 36

1 The inconvenience of the inheritance of daughters, 5 is remedied by marrying in their own tribes, 7 lest the inheritance should be removed from the tribe. 10 The daughters of Zelophehad marry their father's brothers' sons.

 36:1 ¶ And the chiefe 7218 fathers 1 of the families 4940 of the children 1121 of Gilead, 1568 the sonne 1121 of Machir, 4353 the sonne 1121 of Manasseh, 4519 of the families 4940 x4480 of the sonnes 1121 of Ioseph, 3130 came neere, 7126 z8799 and spake 1696 z8762 before 6440 Moses, 4872 and before 6440 the Princes 5387 the chiefe 7218 fathers 1 of the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 36:2 And they said, 559 z8799 The LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 my lord 113 to giue 5414 z8800 x853 the lande 776 for an inheritance 5159 by lot 1486 to the children 1121 of Israel: 3478 and my lord 113 was commanded 6680 z8795 by the LORD, 3068 to giue 5414 z8800 x853 the inheritance 5159 of Zelophehad 6765 our brother, 251 vnto his daughters. 1323

 36:3 And if they bee married 802 x1961 to any 259 of the sonnes 1121 x4480 of the [other] tribes 7626 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 then shall their inheritance 5159 be taken 1639 z8738 from the inheritance 5159 x4480 of our fathers, 1 and shall bee put 3254 z8738 to x5921 the inheritance 5159 of the tribe, 4294 whereinto x834 they are receiued: x1961 so shal it be taken 1639 z8735 from the lot 1486 x4480 of our inheritance. 5159

 36:4 And when x518 the Iubile 3104 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 shall be, x1961 then shall their inheritance 5159 be put 3254 z8738 vnto x5921 the inheritance 5159 of the tribe, 4294 whereunto x834 they are receiued: x1961 So shal their inheritance 5159 be taken away 1639 z8735 from the inheritance 5159 x4480 of the tribe 4294 of our fathers. 1

 36:5 And Moses 4872 commanded 6680 z8762 x853 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 according to x5921 the worde 6310 of the LORD, 3068 saying, 559 z8800 The tribe 4294 of the sonnes 1121 of Ioseph 3130 hath said 1696 z8802 well. x3651

 36:6 This x2088 [is] the thing 1697 which x834 the LORD 3068 doeth command 6680 z8765 concerning the daughters 1323 of Zelophehad, 6765 saying, 559 z8800 Let them marry 802 x1961 to whom they thinke y5869 best: 2896 x5869 onely x389 to the family 4940 of the tribe 4294 of their father 1 shall they marry. 802 x1961

 36:7 So shall not x3808 the inheritance 5159 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 remooue 5437 z8735 from tribe 4294 x4480 to x413 tribe: 4294 for x3588 euery one 376 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 shall keepe 1692 z8799 himselfe to the inheritance 5159 of the tribe 4294 of his fathers. 1

 36:8 And euery x3605 daughter 1323 that possesseth 3423 z8802 an inheritance, 5159 in any tribe 4294 x4480 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 shall be x1961 wife 802 vnto one 259 of the family 4940 x4480 of the tribe 4294 of her father, 1 that x4616 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 may enioy 3423 z8799 euery man 376 the inheritance 5159 of his fathers. 1

 36:9 Neither x3808 shall the inheritance 5159 remoue 5437 z8735 from one tribe 4294 x4480 to another 312 tribe: 4294 but x3588 euery one 376 of the tribes 4294 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 shall keepe 1692 z8799 himselfe to his owne inheritance. 5159

 36:10 Euen as x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Moses, 4872 so x3651 did 6213 z8804 the daughters 1323 of Zelophehad. 6765

 36:11 For Mahlah, 4244 Tirzah, 8656 and Hoglah, 2295 and Milcah, 4435 and Noah 5270 the daughters 1323 of Zelophehad, 6765 were married 802 x1961 vnto their fathers y1730 brothers x1730 sonnes. 1121

 36:12 And they were married 802 x1961 into the families 4940 x4480 of the sonnes 1121 of Manasseh, 4519 the sonne 1121 of Ioseph, 3130 and their inheritance 5159 remained x1961 in x5921 the tribe 4294 of the family 4940 of their father. 1

 36:13 These x428 [are] the commandements 4687 and the iudgements 4941 which x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 by the hand 3027 of Moses, 4872 vnto x413 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 in the plaines 6160 of Moab, 4124 by x5921 Iordane, 3383 [neere] Iericho. 3405
