Numbers 35

1 Eight and forty cities for the Levites with their suburbs, and measure thereof. 6 Six of them are to be cities of refuge. 9 The laws of murder. 31 No satisfaction for murder.

 35:1 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Moses 4872 in the plaines 6160 of Moab 4124 by x5921 Iordane, 3383 neere Iericho, 3405 saying, 559 z8800

 35:2 Command 6680 z8761 x853 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 that they giue 5414 z8804 vnto the Leuites 3881 of the inheritance 5159 x4480 of their possession, 272 cities 5892 to dwell in: 3427 z8800 and yee shall giue 5414 z8799 also vnto the Leuites 3881 suburbs 4054 for the cities 5892 round about 5439 them.

 35:3 And the cities 5892 shall they haue x1961 to dwell in, 3427 z8800 and the suburbs 4054 of them shall be x1961 for their cattell, 929 and for their goods, 7399 and for all x3605 their beasts. 2416

 35:4 And the suburbs 4054 of the cities, 5892 which x834 yee shall giue 5414 z8799 vnto the Leuites, 3881 [shall reach] from the wall 7023 x4480 of the citie, 5892 and outward, 2351 a thousand 505 cubites 520 round about. 5439

 35:5 And ye shall measure 4058 z8804 from without 2351 x4480 the city 5892 on x853 the Eastside 6924 6285 two thousand 505 cubites, 520 and on the Southside 5045 6285 two thousand 505 cubites, 520 and on the Westside 3220 6285 two thousand 505 cubites, 520 & on the Northside 6828 6285 two thousand 505 cubites: 520 and the citie 5892 [shall be] in the midst; 8432 this x2088 shalbe x1961 to them the suburbs 4054 of the cities. 5892

 35:6 And among x854 the cities 5892 which x834 yee shal giue 5414 z8799 vnto the Leuites, 3881 there shalbe x853 sixe 8337 cities 5892 for refuge, 4733 which x834 ye shall appoint 5414 z8799 for the manslayer, 7523 z8802 that hee may flee 5127 z8800 thither: x8033 And to x5921 them ye shall adde 5414 z8799 fourty 705 and two 8147 cities. 5892

 35:7 [So] all x3605 the cities 5892 which x834 ye shall giue 5414 z8799 to the Leuites, 3881 shall be fourty 705 and eight 8083 cities: 5892 them [shall yee giue] with x854 their suburbs. 4054

 35:8 And the cities 5892 which x834 ye shal giue, 5414 z8799 [shalbe] of the possession 272 x4480 of the children 1121 of Israel: 3478 from x4480 x854 them that haue many 7227 ye shall giue many; 7235 z8686 but from x4480 x854 them that haue few, 4592 ye shall giue few. 4591 z8686 Euery one 376 shal giue 5414 z8799 of his cities 5892 x4480 vnto the Leuites, 3881 according y6310 to x6310 his inheritance 5159 which x834 he inheriteth. 5157 z8799

 35:9 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 35:10 Speake 1696 z8761 vnto x413 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 and say 559 z8804 vnto x413 them, When x3588 ye x859 bee come ouer 5674 z8802 x853 Iordane, 3383 into the land 776 of Canaan: 3667

 35:11 Then ye shall appoint 7136 z8689 you cities, 5892 to be x1961 cities 5892 of refuge 4733 for you; that the slayer 7523 z8802 may flee 5127 z8804 thither x8033 which killeth 5221 z8688 any person 5315 at vnawares. 7684

 35:12 And they shall be x1961 vnto you cities 5892 for refuge 4733 from the auenger, 1350 z8802 x4480 that the man-slayer 7523 z8802 die 4191 z8799 not, x3808 vntill x5704 he stand 5975 z8800 before 6440 the Congregation 5712 in iudgement. 4941

 35:13 And of these cities 5892 which x834 ye shall giue, 5414 z8799 sixe 8337 cities 5892 shall ye haue x1961 for refuge. 4733

 35:14 Yee shall giue 5414 z8799 x853 three 7969 cities 5892 on this side 5676 x4480 Iordane, 3383 and three 7969 cities 5892 shall yee giue 5414 z8799 in the land 776 of Canaan, 3667 which shall be x1961 cities 5892 of refuge. 4733

 35:15 These x428 sixe 8337 cities 5892 shall be x1961 a refuge, 4733 both for the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 and for the stranger, 1616 and for the soiourner 8453 among 8432 them: that euery one x3605 that killeth 5221 z8688 any person 5315 vnawares, 7684 may flee 5127 z8800 thither. x8033

 35:16 And if x518 he smite 5221 z8689 him with an instrument 3627 of Iron, 1270 (so that he die,) 4191 z8799 hee x1931 is a murderer: 7523 z8802 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death. 4191 z8714

 35:17 And if x518 he smite 5221 z8689 him with throwing 3027 a stone, 68 (wherewith x834 hee may die) 4191 z8799 and he die, 4191 z8799 he x1931 is a murderer: 7523 z8802 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death. 4191 z8714

 35:18 Or x176 if he smite 5221 z8689 him with an handweapon 3027 3627 of wood, 6086 (wherewith x834 he may die) 4191 z8799 and he die, 4191 z8799 hee x1931 is a murderer: 7523 z8802 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death. 4191 z8714

 35:19 The reuenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 himselfe x1931 shall slay 4191 z8686 x853 the murtherer: 7523 z8802 when he meeteth 6293 z8800 him, he 1931 shall slay 4191 z8686 him.

 35:20 But if x518 he thrust 1920 z8799 him of hatred, 8135 or x176 hurle 7993 z8689 at x5921 him by laying of waite 6660 that he die, 4191 z8799

 35:21 Or x176 in enmitie 342 smite 5221 z8689 him with his hand, 3027 that he die: 4191 z8799 hee that smote 5221 z8688 him shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death, 4191 z8714 for hee x1931 is a murderer: 7523 z8802 the reuenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 shall slay 4191 z8686 x853 the murderer, 7523 z8802 when hee meeteth 6293 z8800 him.

 35:22 But if x518 hee thrust 1920 z8804 him suddenly 6621 without 3808 enmitie, 342 or x176 haue cast 7993 z8689 vpon x5921 him any thing 3627 x3605 without x3808 laying of wait, 6660

 35:23 Or x176 with any x3605 stone 68 wherewith x834 a man may die, 4191 z8799 seeing 7200 z8800 him not, 3808 and cast 5307 z8686 it vpon x5921 him, that he die, 4191 z8799 and was not x3808 his enemie, 341 z8802 neither x3808 sought 1245 z8764 his harme: 7451

 35:24 Then the Congregation 5712 shall iudge 8199 z8804 betweene x996 the slayer, 5221 z8688 and the reuenger 1350 z8802 of blood, 1818 according to x5921 these x428 iudgements. 4941

 35:25 And the Congregation 5712 shall deliuer 5337 z8689 x853 the slayer 7523 z8802 out of the hand 3027 x4480 of the reuenger 1350 z8802 of blood, 1818 and the Congregation 5712 shal restore 7725 z8689 him to x413 the city 5892 of his refuge, 4733 whither x834 x8033 he was fled: 5127 z8804 and he shall abide 3427 z8804 in it vnto x5704 the death 4194 of the high 1419 Priest, 3548 which x834 was annoynted 4886 z8804 with the holy 6944 oyle. 8081

 35:26 But if x518 the slayer 7523 z8802 shall at any time y3318 z8800 come y3318 z8799 without 3318 x853 the border 1366 of the citie 5892 of his refuge, 4733 whither x834 x8033 he was fled: 5127 z8799

 35:27 And the reuenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 finde 4672 z8804 him without 2351 x4480 the borders 1366 of the citie 5892 of his refuge, 4733 and the reuenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 kill 7523 z8804 x853 the slayer, 7523 z8802 he shall not x369 be guiltie of blood: 1818

 35:28 Because x3588 he should haue remained 3427 z8799 in the citie 5892 of his refuge, 4733 vntill x5704 the death 4194 of the high 1419 Priest: 3548 but after 310 the death 4194 of the hie 1419 Priest, 3548 the slayer 7523 z8802 shal returne 7725 z8799 into x413 the land 776 of his possession. 272

 35:29 So these x428 things shall be x1961 for a statute 2708 of iudgment 4941 vnto you, thorowout your generations 1755 in al x3605 your dwellings. 4186

 35:30 Who so x3605 killeth 5221 z8688 any person, 5315 x853 the murderer 7523 z8802 shall be put to death, 7523 z8799 by the mouth 6310 of witnesses: 5707 but one 259 witnesse 5707 shall not x3808 testifie 6030 z8799 against any person, 5315 [to cause him] to die. 4191 z8800

 35:31 Moreouer, yee shall take 3947 z8799 no x3808 satisfaction 3724 for the life 5315 of a murderer, 7523 z8802 which x834 is guiltie 7563 of death, 4191 z8800 but x3588 he shalbe surely y4191 z8800 put to death. 4191 z8714

 35:32 And yee shall take 3947 z8799 no x3808 satisfaction 3724 for him that is fled 5127 z8800 to x413 the citie 5892 of his refuge, 4733 that hee should come againe 7725 z8800 to dwell 3427 z8800 in the land, 776 vntil x5704 the death 4194 of the Priest. 3548

 35:33 So ye shall not x3808 pollute 2610 z8686 x853 the lande 776 wherein x834 ye x859 are: for x3588 blood, 1818 it x1931 defileth 2610 z8686 x853 the land: 776 and the land 776 cannot x3808 bee cleansed 3722 z8792 of the blood 1818 that x834 is shed 8210 z8795 therein, but x3588 x518 by the blood 1818 of him that shed 8210 z8802 it.

 35:34 Defile 2930 z8762 not x3808 therefore x853 the lande 776 which x834 yee x859 shall inhabite, 3427 z8802 wherein 8432 x834 I x589 dwell: 7931 z8802 for x3588 I x589 the LORD 3068 dwell 7931 z8802 among 8432 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478
