1 God commandeth Moses to number the people. 5 The princes of the tribes. 17 The number of every tribe. 47 The Levites are exempted for the service of the LORD.

 1:2 Take 5375 z8798 yee x853 the summe 7218 of all x3605 the Congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 after their families, 4940 by the house 1004 of their fathers, 1 with the number 4557 of [their] names, 8034 euery x3605 male 2145 by their polle: 1538

 1:3 From twentie 6242 yeeres 8141 old 1121 x4480 and vpward, 4605 all x3605 that are able to goe foorth 3318 z8802 to warre 6635 in Israel: 3478 thou x859 and Aaron 175 shall number 6485 z8799 them by their armies. 6635

 1:4 And with x854 you there shalbe x1961 a man 376 of euery 376 Tribe: 4294 euery one 376 head 7218 of the house 1004 of his fathers. 1

 1:40 ¶ Of the children 1121 of Asher, 836 by their generations, 8435 after their families, 4940 by the house 1004 of their fathers, 1 according to the number 4557 of the names, 8034 from twentie 6242 yeres 8141 old 1121 x4480 and vpward, 4605 all x3605 that were able to goe forth 3318 z8802 to warre: 6635

 1:42 ¶ Of the children 1121 of Naphtali, 5321 throughout their generations, 8435 after their families 4940 by the house 1004 of their fathers, 1 according to the number 4557 of the names, 8034 from twentie 6242 yeeres 8141 olde 1121 x4480 and vpward, 4605 all x3605 that were able to goe forth 3318 z8802 to warre: 6635

 1:43 Those that were numbred 6485 z8803 of them, [euen] of the tribe 4294 of Naphtali, 5321 [were] fiftie 2572 and three 7969 thousand, 505 and foure 702 hundred. 3967

 1:44 These x428 [are] those that were numbred, 6485 z8803 which x834 Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 numbred, 6485 z8804 and the Princes 5387 of Israel, 3478 being twelue 6240 8147 men: 376 each 376 one 259 was x1961 for the house 1004 of his fathers. 1

 1:45 So were x1961 all x3605 those that were numbred 6485 z8803 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 by the house 1004 of their fathers, 1 from twenty 6242 yeeres 8141 old 1121 x4480 and vpward, 4605 all x3605 that were able to goe forth 3318 z8802 to warre 6635 in Israel: 3478

 1:46 Euen all x3605 they, that were numbred, 6485 z8803 were x1961 sixe 8337 hundred 3967 thousand, 505 and three 7969 thousand, 505 and fiue 2568 hundred 3967 and fiftie. 2572

 1:47 ¶ But the Leuites 3881 after the tribe 4294 of their fathers, 1 were not x3808 numbred 6485 z8719 among 8432 them.

 1:48 For the LORD 3068 had spoken 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 1:49 Onely x389 thou shalt not x3808 number 6485 z8799 x853 the tribe 4294 of Leui, 3878 neither x3808 take 5375 z8799 the summe 7218 of them among 8432 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 1:50 But thou x859 shalt appoint 6485 z8685 x853 the Leuites 3881 ouer x5921 the Tabernacle 4908 of Testimonie, 5715 and ouer x5921 all x3605 the vessels 3627 thereof, and ouer x5921 all things x3605 that x834 belong to it: they x1992 shall beare 5375 z8799 x853 the Tabernacle, 4908 and all x3605 the vessels 3627 thereof, and they x1992 shall minister 8334 z8762 vnto it, and shall encampe 2583 z8799 round about 5439 the Tabernacle. 4908

 1:51 And when the Tabernacle 4908 setteth forward, 5265 z8800 the Leuites 3881 shall take it downe: 3381 z8686 x853 and when the Tabernacle 4908 is to be pitched, 2583 z8800 the Leuites 3881 shall set it vp: 6965 z8686 x853 and the stranger 2114 z8801 that commeth nigh, 7131 shall be put to death. 4191 z8714

 1:52 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 shall pitch their tents 2583 z8804 euery man 376 by x5921 his own campe, 4264 and euery man 376 by x5921 his owne standerd, 1714 throughout their hostes. 6635

 1:53 But the Leuites 3881 shall pitch 2583 z8799 round about 5439 the Tabernacle 4908 of Testimonie, 5715 that there be x1961 no x3808 wrath 7110 vpon x5921 the Congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel: 3478 and the Leuites 3881 shall keepe 8104 z8804 x853 the charge 4931 of the Tabernacle 4908 of Testimonie. 5715

 1:54 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 did 6213 z8799 according to all x3605 that x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Moses, 4872 so x3651 did 6213 z8804 they.
