Psalms 79

1 The psalmist complaineth of the desolation of Jerusalem. 8 He prayeth for deliverance, 13 and promiseth thankfulness.

 79:2 x853 The dead bodies 5038 of thy servants 5650 have they given 5414 z8804 [to be] meat 3978 unto the fowls 5775 of the heaven, 8064 the flesh 1320 of thy saints 2623 unto the beasts 2416 of the earth. 776

 79:3 Their blood 1818 have they shed 8210 z8804 like water 4325 round about 5439 Jerusalem; 3389 and [there was] none x369 to bury 6912 z8802 [them].

 79:4 We are become x1961 a reproach 2781 to our neighbors, 7934 a scorn 3933 and derision 7047 to them that are round about 5439 us.

 79:5 How long, x5704 x4100 LORD? 3068 wilt thou be angry 599 z8799 forever? 5331 shall thy jealousy 7068 burn 1197 z8799 like x3644 fire? 784
