Psalms 106

1 The psalmist exhorteth to praise God. 4 He prayeth for pardon of sin, as God did with the fathers. 7 The story of the people's rebellion, and God's mercy. 47 He concludeth with prayer and praise.

 106:1 ¶ Praise 1984 z8761 ye the LORD. 3050 O give thanks 3034 z8685 unto the LORD; 3068 for x3588 [he is] good: 2896 for x3588 his mercy 2617 [endureth] forever. 5769

 106:2 Who x4310 can utter 4448 z8762 the mighty acts 1369 of the LORD? 3068 [who] can show forth 8085 z8686 all x3605 his praise? 8416

 106:3 Blessed 835 [are] they that keep 8104 z8802 judgment, 4941 [and] he that doeth 6213 z8802 righteousness 6666 at all x3605 times. 6256

 106:4 Remember 2142 z8798 me, O LORD, 3068 with the favor 7522 [that thou bearest unto] thy people: 5971 O visit 6485 z8798 me with thy salvation; 3444

 106:5 That I may see 7200 z8800 the good 2896 of thy chosen, 972 that I may rejoice 8055 z8800 in the gladness 8057 of thy nation, 1471 that I may glory 1984 z8692 with x5973 thine inheritance. 5159

 106:6 We have sinned 2398 z8804 with x5973 our fathers, 1 we have committed iniquity, 5753 z8689 we have done wickedly. 7561 z8689

 106:7 Our fathers 1 understood 7919 z8689 not x3808 thy wonders 6381 z8737 in Egypt; 4714 they remembered 2142 z8804 not x3808 x853 the multitude 7230 of thy mercies; 2617 but provoked 4784 z8686 [him] at x5921 the sea, 3220 [even] at the Red 5488 sea. 3220

 106:8 Nevertheless he saved 3467 z8686 them for his name's y8034 sake, x4616 x8034 that he might make x853 his mighty power 1369 to be known. 3045 z8687

 106:9 He rebuked 1605 z8799 the Red 5488 sea 3220 also, and it was dried up: 2717 z8799 so he led y3212 z8686 x1980 them through the depths, 8415 as through the wilderness. 4057

 106:10 And he saved 3467 z8686 them from the hand 3027 x4480 of him that hated 8130 z8802 [them], and redeemed 1350 z8799 them from the hand 3027 x4480 of the enemy. 341 z8802

 106:11 And the waters 4325 covered 3680 z8762 their enemies: 6862 there was not x3808 one 259 of x4480 them left. 3498 z8738

 106:12 Then believed 539 z8686 they his words; 1697 they sang 7891 z8799 his praise. 8416

 106:14 But lusted y183 z8691 exceedingly 8378 x183 in the wilderness, 4057 and tempted 5254 z8762 God 410 in the desert. 3452

 106:15 And he gave 5414 z8799 them their request; 7596 but sent 7971 z8762 leanness 7332 into their soul. 5315

 106:16 They envied 7065 z8762 Moses 4872 also in the camp, 4264 [and] Aaron 175 the saint 6918 of the LORD. 3068

 106:17 The earth 776 opened 6605 z8799 and swallowed up 1104 z8799 Dathan, 1885 and covered 3680 z8762 x5921 the company 5712 of Abiram. 48

 106:18 And a fire 784 was kindled 1197 z8799 in their company; 5712 the flame 3852 burned up 3857 z8762 the wicked. 7563

 106:19 They made 6213 z8799 a calf 5695 in Horeb, 2722 and worshiped 7812 z8691 the molten image. 4541

 106:20 Thus they changed 4171 z8686 x853 their glory 3519 into the similitude 8403 of an ox 7794 that eateth 398 z8802 grass. 6212

 106:21 They forgot 7911 z8804 God 410 their savior, 3467 z8688 which had done 6213 z8802 great things 1419 in Egypt; 4714

 106:22 Wondrous works 6381 z8737 in the land 776 of Ham, 2526 [and] terrible things 3372 z8737 by x5921 the Red 5488 sea. 3220

 106:23 Therefore he said 559 z8799 that he would destroy 8045 z8687 them, had not 3884 Moses 4872 his chosen 972 stood 5975 z8804 before 6440 him in the breach, 6556 to turn away 7725 z8687 his wrath, 2534 lest he should destroy 7843 z8687 x4480 [them].

 106:24 Yea, they despised 3988 z8799 the pleasant 2532 land, 776 they believed 539 z8689 not x3808 his word: 1697

 106:25 But murmured 7279 z8735 in their tents, 168 [and] hearkened 8085 z8804 not x3808 unto the voice 6963 of the LORD. 3068

 106:26 Therefore he lifted up 5375 z8799 his hand 3027 against them, to overthrow 5307 z8687 them in the wilderness: 4057

 106:27 To overthrow 5307 z8687 their seed 2233 also among the nations, 1471 and to scatter 2219 z8763 them in the lands. 776

 106:28 They joined y6775 z8735 themselves x6775 also unto Baalpeor, 1187 and ate 398 z8799 the sacrifices 2077 of the dead. 4191 z8801

 106:29 Thus they provoked [him] to anger 3707 z8686 with their inventions: 4611 and the plague 4046 broke in 6555 z8799 upon them.

 106:30 Then stood up 5975 z8799 Phinehas, 6372 and executed judgment: 6419 z8762 and [so] the plague 4046 was stayed. 6113 z8735

 106:31 And that was counted 2803 z8735 unto him for righteousness 6666 unto all y1755 generations 1755 forevermore. 5769 5704

 106:32 They angered 7107 z8686 [him] also at x5921 the waters 4325 of strife, 4808 z8677 y4809 so that it went ill 3415 z8799 with Moses 4872 for their sakes: x5668

 106:33 Because x3588 they provoked 4784 z8689 x853 his spirit, 7307 so that he spoke unadvisedly 981 z8762 with his lips. 8193

 106:34 They did not x3808 destroy 8045 z8689 x853 the nations, 5971 concerning whom x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 559 z8804 them:

 106:35 But were mingled 6148 z8691 among the heathen, 1471 and learned 3925 z8799 their works. 4639

 106:36 And they served 5647 z8799 x853 their idols: 6091 which were x1961 a snare 4170 unto them.

 106:37 Yea, they sacrificed 2076 z8799 x853 their sons 1121 and their daughters 1323 unto devils, 7700

 106:38 And shed 8210 z8799 innocent 5355 blood, 1818 [even] the blood 1818 of their sons 1121 and of their daughters, 1323 whom x834 they sacrificed 2076 z8765 unto the idols 6091 of Canaan: 3667 and the land 776 was polluted 2610 z8799 with blood. 1818

 106:39 Thus were they defiled 2930 z8799 with their own works, 4639 and went a whoring 2181 z8799 with their own inventions. 4611

 106:40 Therefore was the wrath 639 of the LORD 3068 kindled 2734 z8799 against his people, 5971 insomuch that he abhorred 8581 z8762 x853 his own inheritance. 5159

 106:41 And he gave 5414 z8799 them into the hand 3027 of the heathen; 1471 and they that hated 8130 z8802 them ruled 4910 z8799 over them.

 106:42 Their enemies 341 z8802 also oppressed 3905 z8799 them, and they were brought into subjection 3665 z8735 under x8478 their hand. 3027

 106:43 Many 7227 times 6471 did he deliver 5337 z8686 them; but they x1992 provoked 4784 z8686 [him] with their counsel, 6098 and were brought low 4355 z8799 for their iniquity. 5771

 106:44 Nevertheless he regarded 7200 z8799 their affliction, 6862 when he heard 8085 z8800 x853 their cry: 7440

 106:45 And he remembered 2142 z8799 for them his covenant, 1285 and repented 5162 z8735 according to the multitude 7230 of his mercies. 2617

 106:46 He made 5414 z8799 them also to be pitied 7356 of 6440 all x3605 those that carried them captives. 7617 z8802

 106:47 Save 3467 z8685 us, O LORD 3068 our God, 430 and gather 6908 z8761 us from among x4480 the heathen, 1471 to give thanks 3034 z8687 unto thy holy 6944 name, 8034 [and] to triumph 7623 z8692 in thy praise. 8416

 106:48 Blessed 1288 z8803 [be] the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 from x4480 everlasting 5769 to x5704 everlasting: 5769 and let all x3605 the people 5971 say, 559 z8804 Amen. 543 Praise 1984 z8761 ye the LORD. 3050
