Psalms 18

David praiseth God for his manifold and marvellous blessings.

 18:1 ¶ {To the chief Musician, 5329 z8764 [A Psalm] of David, 1732 the servant 5650 of the LORD, 3068 who x834 spoke 1696 z8765 unto the LORD 3068 x853 the words 1697 of this x2063 song 7892 in the day 3117 [that] the LORD 3068 delivered 5337 z8689 him from the hand 3709 x4480 of all x3605 his enemies, 341 z8802 and from the hand 3027 x4480 of Saul: 7586 And he said,} 559 z8799 I will love 7355 z8799 thee, O LORD, 3068 my strength. 2391

 18:2 The LORD 3068 [is] my rock, 5553 and my fortress, 4686 and my deliverer; 6403 z8764 my God, 410 my strength, 6697 in whom I will trust; 2620 z8799 my buckler, 4043 and the horn 7161 of my salvation, 3468 [and] my high tower. 4869

 18:3 I will call 7121 z8799 upon the LORD, 3068 [who is worthy] to be praised: 1984 z8794 so shall I be saved 3467 z8735 from x4480 mine enemies. 341 z8802

 18:4 The sorrows 2256 of death 4194 compassed 661 z8804 me, and the floods 5158 of ungodly men 1100 made me afraid. 1204 z8762

 18:5 The sorrows 2256 of hell 7585 compassed me about: 5437 z8804 the snares 4170 of death 4194 prevented 6923 z8765 me.

 18:6 In my distress 6862 I called y7121 z8799 upon x7121 the LORD, 3068 and cried 7768 z8762 unto x413 my God: 430 he heard 8085 z8799 my voice 6963 out of his temple, 1964 x4480 and my cry 7775 came 935 z8799 before 6440 him, [even] into his ears. 241

 18:7 Then the earth 776 shook 1607 z8799 and trembled; 7493 z8799 the foundations 4146 also of the hills 2022 moved 7264 z8799 and were shaken, 1607 z8691 because x3588 he was wroth. 2734 z8804

 18:8 There went up 5927 z8804 a smoke 6227 out of his nostrils, 639 and fire 784 out of his mouth 6310 x4480 devoured: 398 z8799 coals 1513 were kindled 1197 z8804 by x4480 it.

 18:9 He bowed 5186 z8799 the heavens 8064 also, and came down: 3381 z8799 and darkness 6205 [was] under x8478 his feet. 7272

 18:10 And he rode 7392 z8799 upon x5921 a cherub, 3742 and did fly: 5774 z8799 yea, he did fly 1675 z8799 upon x5921 the wings 3671 of the wind. 7307

 18:11 He made 7896 z8799 darkness y2822 x2824 his secret place; 5643 his pavilion 5521 round about 5439 him [were] dark 2824 waters 4325 [and] thick clouds 5645 of the skies. 7834

 18:12 At the brightness 5051 x4480 [that was] before x5048 him his thick clouds 5645 passed, 5674 z8804 hail 1259 [stones] and coals 1513 of fire. 784

 18:13 The LORD 3068 also thundered 7481 z8686 in the heavens, 8064 and the Highest 5945 gave 5414 z8799 his voice; 6963 hail 1259 [stones] and coals 1513 of fire. 784

 18:14 Yea, he sent out 7971 z8799 his arrows, 2671 and scattered 6327 z8686 them; and he shot out 7232 z8804 lightnings, 1300 and discomfited 2000 z8799 them.

 18:15 Then the channels 650 of waters 4325 were seen, 7200 z8735 and the foundations 4146 of the world 8398 were discovered 1540 z8735 at thy rebuke, 1606 x4480 O LORD, 3068 at the blast 5397 x4480 of the breath 7307 of thy nostrils. 639

 18:16 He sent 7971 z8799 from above, 4791 x4480 he took 3947 z8799 me, he drew 4871 z8686 me out of many y7227 waters. 4325 x4480 x7227

 18:17 He delivered 5337 z8686 me from my strong 5794 enemy, 341 z8802 x4480 and from them which hated 8130 z8802 x4480 me: for x3588 they were too strong 553 z8804 for x4480 me.

 18:18 They prevented 6923 z8762 me in the day 3117 of my calamity: 343 but the LORD 3068 was x1961 my stay. 4937

 18:19 He brought me forth 3318 z8686 also into a large place; 4800 he delivered 2502 z8762 me, because x3588 he delighted 2654 z8804 in me.

 18:20 The LORD 3068 rewarded 1580 z8799 me according to my righteousness; 6664 according to the cleanness 1252 of my hands 3027 hath he recompensed 7725 z8686 me.

 18:21 For x3588 I have kept 8104 z8804 the ways 1870 of the LORD, 3068 and have not x3808 wickedly departed 7561 z8804 from my God. 430 x4480

 18:22 For x3588 all x3605 his judgments 4941 [were] before x5048 me, and I did not x3808 put away 5493 z8686 his statutes 2708 from x4480 me.

 18:23 I was x1961 also upright 8549 before x5973 him, and I kept y8104 z8691 myself x8104 from mine iniquity. 5771 x4480

 18:24 Therefore hath the LORD 3068 recompensed 7725 z8686 me according to my righteousness, 6664 according to the cleanness 1252 of my hands 3027 in x5048 his eyesight. 5869

 18:25 With x5973 the merciful 2623 thou wilt show thyself merciful; 2616 z8691 with x5973 an upright 8549 man 1399 thou wilt show thyself upright; 8552 z8691

 18:26 With x5973 the pure 1305 z8737 thou wilt show thyself pure; 1305 z8691 and with x5973 the froward 6141 thou wilt show thyself froward. 6617 z8691

 18:27 For x3588 thou wilt x859 save 3467 z8686 the afflicted 6041 people; 5971 but wilt bring down 8213 z8686 high 7311 z8802 looks. 5869

 18:28 For x3588 thou x859 wilt light 215 z8686 my candle: 5216 the LORD 3068 my God 430 will enlighten 5050 z8686 my darkness. 2822

 18:29 For x3588 by thee I have run through 7323 z8799 a troop; 1416 and by my God 430 have I leaped over 1801 z8762 a wall. 7791

 18:30 [As for] God, 410 his way 1870 [is] perfect: 8549 the word 565 of the LORD 3068 is tried: 6884 z8803 he x1931 [is] a buckler 4043 to all x3605 those that trust 2620 z8802 in him.

 18:31 For x3588 who x4310 [is] God 433 save 1107 x4480 the LORD? 3068 or who x4310 [is] a rock 6697 save 2108 our God? 430

 18:32 [It is] God 410 that girdeth 247 z8764 me with strength, 2428 and maketh 5414 z8799 my way 1870 perfect. 8549

 18:33 He maketh 7737 z8764 my feet 7272 like hinds' 355 [feet], and setteth 5975 z8686 me upon x5921 my high places. 1116

 18:34 He teacheth 3925 z8764 my hands 3027 to war, 4421 so that a bow 7198 of steel 5154 is broken 5181 z8765 by mine arms. 2220

 18:35 Thou hast also given 5414 z8799 me the shield 4043 of thy salvation: 3468 and thy right hand 3225 hath holden me up, 5582 z8799 and thy gentleness y6037 x6038 hath made me great. 7235 z8686

 18:36 Thou hast enlarged 7337 z8686 my steps 6806 under x8478 me, that my feet 7166 did not x3808 slip. 4571 z8804

 18:37 I have pursued 7291 z8799 mine enemies, 341 z8802 and overtaken 5381 z8686 them: neither x3808 did I turn again 7725 z8799 till x5704 they were consumed. 3615 z8763

 18:38 I have wounded 4272 z8799 them that they were not x3808 able 3201 z8799 to rise: 6965 z8800 they are fallen 5307 z8799 under x8478 my feet. 7272

 18:39 For thou hast girded 247 z8762 me with strength 2428 unto the battle: 4421 thou hast subdued 3766 z8686 under x8478 me those that rose up 6965 z8801 against me.

 18:40 Thou hast also given 5414 z8804 me the necks 6203 of mine enemies; 341 z8802 that I might destroy 6789 z8686 them that hate 8130 z8764 me.

 18:41 They cried, 7768 z8762 but [there was] none x369 to save 3467 z8688 [them]: [even] unto x5921 the LORD, 3068 but he answered 6030 z8804 them not. x3808

 18:42 Then did I beat y7833 z8799 them small x7833 as the dust 6083 before 6440 x5921 the wind: 7307 I did cast them out 7324 z8686 as the dirt 2916 in the streets. 2351

 18:43 Thou hast delivered 6403 z8762 me from the strivings 7379 x4480 of the people; 5971 [and] thou hast made 7760 z8799 me the head 7218 of the heathen: 1471 a people 5971 [whom] I have not x3808 known 3045 z8804 shall serve 5647 z8799 me.

 18:44 As soon as they hear 8088 241 of me, they shall obey 8085 z8735 me: the strangers 1121 5236 shall submit 3584 z8762 themselves unto me.

 18:45 The strangers 1121 5236 shall fade away, 5034 z8799 and be afraid 2727 z8799 out of x4480 their close places. 4526

 18:46 The LORD 3068 liveth; 2416 and blessed 1288 z8803 [be] my rock; 6697 and let the God 430 of my salvation 3468 be exalted. 7311 z8799

 18:47 [It is] God 410 that avengeth 5414 5360 z8802 me, and subdueth 1696 z8686 the people 5971 under x8478 me.

 18:48 He delivereth 6403 z8764 me from mine enemies: 341 z8802 x4480 yea, x637 thou liftest me up 7311 z8787 above x4480 those that rise up 6965 z8801 against me: thou hast delivered 5337 z8686 me from the violent 2555 man. 376 x4480

 18:49 Therefore x5921 x3651 will I give thanks 3034 z8686 unto thee, O LORD, 3068 among the heathen, 1471 and sing praises 2167 z8762 unto thy name. 8034

 18:50 Great 1431 z8688 deliverance 3444 giveth he to his king; 4428 and showeth 6213 z8802 mercy 2617 to his anointed, 4899 to David, 1732 and to his seed 2233 forevermore. 5769 5704
