Isaiah 63

1 Christ sheweth who he is, 2 what his victory over his enemies, 7 and what his mercy toward his Church. 10 In his just wrath he remembereth his free mercy. 15 The Church in their prayer, 17 and complaint, profess their faith.

 63:1 ¶ Who x4310 [is] this x2088 that cometh 935 z8802 from Edom, 123 x4480 with dyed 2556 z8803 garments 899 from Bozrah? 1224 x4480 this x2088 [that is] glorious 1921 z8803 in his apparel, 3830 travelling 6808 z8802 in the greatness 7230 of his strength? 3581 I x589 that speak 1696 z8764 in righteousness, 6666 mighty 7227 to save. 3467 z8687

 63:2 Wherefore x4069 [art thou] red 122 in thine apparel, 3830 and thy garments 899 like him that treadeth 1869 z8802 in the winefat? 1660

 63:3 I have trodden 1869 z8804 the winepress 6333 alone; x905 and of the people 5971 x4480 [there was] none 376 x369 with x854 me: for I will tread 1869 z8799 them in mine anger, 639 and trample 7429 z8799 them in my fury; 2534 and their blood 5332 shall be sprinkled 5137 z8799 upon x5921 my garments, 899 and I will stain 1351 z8689 all x3605 my raiment. 4403

 63:4 For x3588 the day 3117 of vengeance 5359 [is] in mine heart, 3820 and the year 8141 of my redeemed 1350 z8803 is come. 935 z8804

 63:5 And I looked, 5027 z8686 and [there was] none x369 to help; 5826 z8802 and I wondered 8074 z8709 that [there was] none x369 to uphold: 5564 z8802 therefore mine own arm 2220 brought salvation 3467 z8686 unto me; and my fury, 2534 it x1931 upheld 5564 z8804 me.

 63:6 And I will tread down 947 z8799 the people 5971 in mine anger, 639 and make them drunk 7937 z8762 in my fury, 2534 and I will bring down 3381 z8686 their strength 5332 to the earth. 776

 63:7 ¶ I will mention 2142 z8686 the lovingkindnesses 2617 of the LORD, 3068 [and] the praises 8416 of the LORD, 3068 according x5921 to all x3605 that x834 the LORD 3068 hath bestowed 1580 z8804 on us, and the great 7227 goodness 2898 toward the house 1004 of Israel, 3478 which x834 he hath bestowed 1580 z8804 on them according to his mercies, 7356 and according to the multitude 7230 of his lovingkindnesses. 2617

 63:8 For he said, 559 z8799 Surely x389 they x1992 [are] my people, 5971 children 1121 [that] will not x3808 lie: 8266 z8762 so he was x1961 their Saviour. 3467 z8688

 63:9 In all x3605 their affliction 6869 he was afflicted, 6862 and the angel 4397 of his presence 6440 saved 3467 z8689 them: in his love 160 and in his pity 2551 he x1931 redeemed 1350 z8804 them; and he bare 5190 z8762 them, and carried 5375 z8762 them all x3605 the days 3117 of old. 5769

 63:10 ¶ But they x1992 rebelled, 4784 z8804 and vexed 6087 z8765 x853 his holy 6944 Spirit: 7307 therefore he was turned 2015 z8735 to be their enemy, 341 z8802 [and] he x1931 fought 3898 z8738 against them.

 63:11 Then he remembered 2142 z8799 the days 3117 of old, 5769 Moses, 4872 [and] his people, 5971 [saying], Where x346 [is] he that brought them up 5927 z8688 out of the sea 3220 x4480 with x854 the shepherd 7462 z8802 of his flock? 6629 where x346 [is] he that put 7760 z8802 x853 his holy 6944 Spirit 7307 within 7130 him?

 63:12 That led y3212 z8688 x1980 [them] by the right hand 3225 of Moses 4872 with his glorious 8597 arm, 2220 dividing 1234 z8802 the water 4325 before 6440 x4480 them, to make 6213 z8800 himself an everlasting 5769 name? 8034

 63:13 That led y3212 z8688 x1980 them through the deep, 8415 as an horse 5483 in the wilderness, 4057 [that] they should not x3808 stumble? 3782 z8735

 63:14 As a beast 929 goeth down 3381 z8799 into the valley, 1237 the Spirit 7307 of the LORD 3068 caused him to rest: 5117 z8686 so x3651 didst thou lead 5090 z8765 thy people, 5971 to make 6213 z8800 thyself a glorious 8597 name. 8034

 63:15 ¶ Look down 5027 z8685 from heaven, 8064 x4480 and behold 7200 z8798 from the habitation 2073 x4480 of thy holiness 6944 and of thy glory: 8597 where x346 [is] thy zeal 7068 and thy strength, 1369 the sounding 1995 of thy bowels 4578 and of thy mercies 7356 toward x413 me? are they restrained? 662 z8694

 63:16 Doubtless 3588 thou x859 [art] our father, 1 though x3588 Abraham 85 be ignorant 3808 3045 z8804 of us, and Israel 3478 acknowledge 5234 z8686 us not: x3808 thou, x859 O LORD, 3068 [art] our father, 1 our redeemer; 1350 z8802 thy name 8034 [is] from everlasting. 5769 x4480

 63:17 ¶ O LORD, 3068 why x4100 hast thou made us to err 8582 z8686 from thy ways, 1870 x4480 [and] hardened 7188 z8686 our heart 3820 from thy fear? 3374 x4480 Return 7725 z8798 for thy servants' y5650 sake, x4616 x5650 the tribes 7626 of thine inheritance. 5159

 63:18 The people 5971 of thy holiness 6944 have possessed 3423 z8804 [it] but a little while: 4705 our adversaries 6862 have trodden down 947 z8790 thy sanctuary. 4720

 63:19 We are x1961 [thine]: thou never 5769 x3808 x4480 barest rule 4910 z8804 over them; they were not x3808 called 7121 z8738 by x5921 thy name. 8034
