Isaiah 13

1 God mustereth the armies of his wrath. 6 He threateneth to destroy Babylon by the Medes. 19 The desolation of Babylon.

 13:3 I x589 have commanded 6680 z8765 my sanctified ones, 6942 z8794 I have also x1571 called 7121 z8804 my mighty ones 1368 for mine anger, 639 [even] them that rejoice 5947 in my highness. 1346

 13:4 The noise 6963 of a multitude 1995 in the mountains, 2022 like x1823 as y1823 of a great 7227 people; 5971 a tumultuous 7588 noise 6963 of the kingdoms 4467 of nations 1471 gathered together: 622 z8737 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 mustereth 6485 z8764 the host 6635 of the battle. 4421

 13:5 They come 935 z8802 from a far y4801 country, 776 x4480 x4801 from the end 7097 x4480 of heaven, 8064 [even] the LORD, 3068 and the weapons 3627 of his indignation, 2195 to destroy 2254 z8763 the whole x3605 land. 776

 13:6 ¶ Howl 3213 z8685 ye; for x3588 the day 3117 of the LORD 3068 [is] at hand; 7138 it shall come 935 z8799 as a destruction 7701 from the Almighty. 7706 x4480

 13:7 Therefore x5921 x3651 shall all x3605 hands 3027 be faint, 7503 z8799 and every x3605 man's 582 heart 3824 shall melt: 4549 z8735

 13:10 For x3588 the stars 3556 of heaven 8064 and the constellations 3685 thereof shall not x3808 give 1984 z8686 their light: 216 the sun 8121 shall be darkened 2821 z8804 in his going forth, 3318 z8800 and the moon 3394 shall not x3808 cause her light 216 to shine. 5050 z8686

 13:11 And I will punish 6485 z8804 the world 8398 for x5921 [their] evil, 7451 and the wicked 7563 for x5921 their iniquity; 5771 and I will cause the arrogancy 1347 of the proud 2086 to cease, 7673 z8689 and will lay low 8213 z8686 the haughtiness 1346 of the terrible. 6184

 13:12 I will make a man 582 more precious 3365 z8686 than fine gold; 6337 x4480 even a man 120 than the golden wedge 3800 x4480 of Ophir. 211

 13:13 Therefore x5921 x3651 I will shake 7264 z8686 the heavens, 8064 and the earth 776 shall remove 7493 z8799 out of her place, 4725 x4480 in the wrath 5678 of the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 and in the day 3117 of his fierce 2740 anger. 639

 13:14 And it shall be x1961 as the chased 5080 z8716 roe, 6643 and as a sheep 6629 that no x369 man taketh up: 6908 z8764 they shall every man 376 turn 6437 z8799 to x413 his own people, 5971 and flee 5127 z8799 every one 376 into x413 his own land. 776

 13:15 Every one x3605 that is found 4672 z8737 shall be thrust through; 1856 z8735 and every one x3605 that is joined 5595 z8737 [unto them] shall fall 5307 z8799 by the sword. 2719

 13:16 Their children 5768 also shall be dashed x7376 to pieces y7376 z8792 before their eyes; 5869 their houses 1004 shall be spoiled, 8155 z8735 and their wives 802 ravished. 7693 z8735 y7901 z8675

 13:17 Behold, x2009 I will stir up 5782 z8688 x853 the Medes 4074 against x5921 them, which x834 shall not x3808 regard 2803 z8799 silver; 3701 and [as for] gold, 2091 they shall not x3808 delight 2654 z8799 in it.

 13:18 [Their] bows 7198 also shall dash 7376 z0 the young men 5288 to pieces; y7376 z8762 and they shall have no x3808 pity 7355 z8762 on the fruit 6529 of the womb; 990 their eye 5869 shall not x3808 spare 2347 z8799 x5921 children. 1121

 13:19 ¶ And Babylon, 894 the glory 6643 of kingdoms, 4467 the beauty 8597 of the Chaldees' 3778 excellency, 1347 shall be x1961 as when God 430 overthrew 4114 x853 Sodom 5467 and Gomorrah. 6017

 13:20 It shall never 5331 x3808 be inhabited, 3427 z8799 neither x3808 shall it be dwelt 7931 z8799 in from generation 1755 to x5704 generation: 1755 neither x3808 shall the Arabian 6163 pitch tent 167 z8762 there; x8033 neither x3808 shall the shepherds 7462 z8802 make their fold 7257 z8686 there. x8033

 13:21 But wild beasts of the desert 6728 shall lie 7257 z8804 there; x8033 and their houses 1004 shall be full 4390 z8804 of doleful creatures; 255 and owls 1323 3284 shall dwell 7931 z8804 there, x8033 and satyrs 8163 shall dance 7540 z8762 there. x8033

 13:22 And the wild beasts of the islands 338 shall cry 6030 z8804 in their desolate houses, 490 and dragons 8577 in [their] pleasant 6027 palaces: 1964 and her time 6256 [is] near 7138 to come, 935 z8800 and her days 3117 shall not x3808 be prolonged. 4900 z8735
