Genesis 40

1 The butler and baker of Pharaoh in prison. 4 Joseph hath charge of them. 5 He interpreteth their dreams. 20 They come to pass according to his interpretation. 23 The ingratitude of the butler.

 40:1 ¶ And it came to pass x1961 after 310 these x428 things, 1697 [that] the butler y8248 z8688 x4945 of the king 4428 of Egypt 4714 and [his] baker 644 z8802 had offended 2398 z8804 their lord 113 the king 4428 of Egypt. 4714

 40:2 And Pharaoh 6547 was wroth 7107 z8799 against 5921 two 8147 [of] his officers, 5631 against x5921 the chief 8269 of the butlers, y8248 z8688 x4945 and against x5921 the chief 8269 of the bakers. 644 z8802

 40:3 And he put 5414 z8799 them in ward 4929 in the house 1004 of the captain 8269 of the guard, 2876 into x413 the prison, 1004 5470 the place 4725 where x834 x8033 Joseph 3130 [was] bound. 631 z8803

 40:4 And the captain 8269 of the guard 2876 charged 6485 z8799 x853 Joseph 3130 with x854 them, and he served 8334 z8762 them: and they continued x1961 a season 3117 in ward. 4929

 40:5 ¶ And they dreamed 2492 z8799 a dream 2472 both x8147 of them, y8147 each man 376 his dream 2472 in one 259 night, 3915 each man 376 according to the interpretation 6623 of his dream, 2472 the butler y8248 z8688 x4945 and the baker 644 z8802 of the king 4428 of Egypt, 4714 which x834 [were] bound 631 z8803 in the prison. 1004 5470

 40:6 And Joseph 3130 came in 935 z8799 unto x413 them in the morning, 1242 and looked y7200 z8799 upon x7200 them, and, behold, x2009 they [were] sad. 2196 z8802

 40:7 And he asked 7592 z8799 x853 Pharaoh's 6547 officers 5631 that x834 [were] with x854 him in the ward 4929 of his lord's 113 house, 1004 saying, 559 z8800 Wherefore x4069 look 6440 ye [so] sadly 7451 to day? 3117

 40:8 And they said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, We have dreamed 2492 z8804 a dream, 2472 and [there is] no x369 interpreter 6622 z8802 of it. And Joseph 3130 said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, [Do] not x3808 interpretations 6623 [belong] to God? 430 tell x5608 me y5608 z8761 [them], I pray you. x4994

 40:9 And the chief 8269 butler y8248 z8688 x4945 told 5608 z8762 x853 his dream 2472 to Joseph, 3130 and said 559 z8799 to him, In my dream, 2472 behold, x2009 a vine 1612 [was] before x6440 me; y6440

 40:10 And in the vine 1612 [were] three 7969 branches: 8299 and it [was] as though it budded, 6524 z8802 [and] her x1931 blossoms 5322 shot forth; 5927 z8804 and the clusters 811 thereof brought forth x1310 ripe y1310 z8689 grapes: 6025

 40:11 And Pharaoh's 6547 cup 3563 [was] in my hand: 3027 and I took 3947 z8799 x853 the grapes, 6025 and pressed 7818 z8799 them into x413 Pharaoh's 6547 cup, 3563 and I gave 5414 z8799 x853 the cup 3563 into x5921 Pharaoh's 6547 hand. 3709

 40:12 And Joseph 3130 said 559 z8799 unto him, This x2088 [is] the interpretation 6623 of it: The three 7969 branches 8299 [are] three 7969 days: 3117

 40:13 Yet 5750 within three 7969 days 3117 shall Pharaoh 6547 lift up 5375 z8799 x853 thine head, 7218 and restore 7725 z8689 thee unto x5921 thy place: 3653 and thou shalt deliver 5414 z8804 Pharaoh's 6547 cup 3563 into his hand, 3027 after the former 7223 manner 4941 when x834 thou wast x1961 his butler. y8248 z8688 x4945

 40:14 But x3588 x518 think y2142 z8804 on x2142 me when x834 it shall be well 3190 z8799 with thee, and shew 6213 z8804 kindness, 2617 I pray thee, x4994 unto x5973 me, and make mention 2142 z8689 of me unto x413 Pharaoh, 6547 and bring me y3318 z8689 out x3318 of x4480 this x2088 house: 1004

 40:15 For x3588 indeed I was stolen away 1589 z8795 out of the land 776 x4480 of the Hebrews: 5680 and here x6311 also x1571 have I done 6213 z8804 nothing 3972 x3808 that x3588 they should put 7760 z8804 me into the dungeon. 953

 40:16 When the chief 8269 baker 644 z8802 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 the interpretation 6622 z8804 was good, 2896 he said 559 z8799 unto x413 Joseph, 3130 I x589 also 637 [was] in my dream, 2472 and, behold, x2009 [I had] three 7969 white 2751 baskets 5536 on x5921 my head: 7218

 40:17 And in the uppermost 5945 basket 5536 [there was] of all manner y3978 x4480 x3605 of bakemeats 4639 644 z8802 x3978 for Pharaoh; 6547 and the birds 5775 did eat 398 z8802 them out of x4480 the basket 5536 upon 5921 x4480 my head. 7218

 40:18 And Joseph 3130 answered 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 This x2088 [is] the interpretation 6623 thereof: The three 7969 baskets 5536 [are] three 7969 days: 3117

 40:19 Yet x5750 within three 7969 days 3117 shall Pharaoh 6547 lift up 5375 z8799 x853 thy head 7218 from off x4480 x5921 thee, and shall hang 8518 z8804 thee on x5921 a tree; 6086 and the birds 5775 shall eat 398 z8804 x853 thy flesh 1320 from off x4480 x5921 thee.

 40:20 ¶ And it came to pass x1961 the third 7992 day, 3117 [which was] x853 Pharaoh's 6547 birthday, 3117 3205 z8715 that he made 6213 z8799 a feast 4960 unto all x3605 his servants: 5650 and he lifted up 5375 z8799 x853 the head 7218 of the chief 8269 butler y8248 z8688 x4945 and of the chief 8269 baker 644 z8802 among 8432 his servants. 5650

 40:21 And he restored 7725 z0 x853 the chief 8269 butler y8248 z8688 x4945 unto x5921 his butlership 4945 again; y7725 z8686 and he gave 5414 z8799 the cup 3563 into x5921 Pharaoh's 6547 hand: 3709

 40:22 But he hanged 8518 z8804 the chief 8269 baker: 644 z8802 as x834 Joseph 3130 had interpreted 6622 z8804 to them.

 40:23 Yet did not x3808 the chief 8269 butler y8248 z8688 x4945 remember 2142 z8804 x853 Joseph, 3130 but forgat 7911 z8799 him.
