Genesis 12

1 God calleth Abram, and blesseth him with a promise of Christ. 4 He departeth with Lot from Haran. 6 He journeyeth through Canaan, 7 which is promised him in a vision. 10 He is driven by a famine into Egypt: 11 fear maketh him feign his wife to be his sister. 14 Pharaoh, having taken her from him, by plagues is compelled to restore her.

 12:1 ¶ Now the LORD 3068 had said 559 z8799 unto x413 Abram, 87 Get thee out y3212 z8798 x1980 of thy country, 776 x4480 and from thy kindred, 4138 x4480 and from thy father's y1 house, 1004 x4480 x1 unto x413 a land 776 that x834 I will shew 7200 z8686 thee:

 12:2 And I will make x6213 of thee y6213 z8799 a great 1419 nation, 1471 and I will bless 1288 z8762 thee, and make y1431 z0 thy name y8034 great; 1431 z8762 x8034 and thou shalt be x1961 a blessing: 1293

 12:3 And I will bless 1288 z8762 them that bless 1288 z8764 thee, and curse 779 z8799 him that curseth 7043 z8764 thee: and in thee shall all x3605 families 4940 of the earth 127 be blessed. 1288 z8738

 12:4 So Abram 87 departed, y3212 z8799 x1980 as x834 the LORD 3068 had spoken 1696 z8765 unto x413 him; and Lot 3876 went y3212 z8799 x1980 with x854 him: and Abram 87 [was] seventy 7657 y8141 and five 2568 years 8141 old 1121 when he departed 3318 z8800 out of Haran. 2771 x4480

 12:5 And Abram 87 took 3947 z8799 x853 Sarai 8297 his wife, 802 and Lot 3876 his brother's 251 son, 1121 and all x3605 their substance 7399 that x834 they had gathered, 7408 z8804 and the souls 5315 that x834 they had gotten 6213 z8804 in Haran; 2771 and they went forth 3318 z8799 to go y3212 z8800 x1980 into the land 776 of Canaan; 3667 and into the land 776 of Canaan 3667 they came. 935 z8799

 12:6 ¶ And Abram 87 passed through 5674 z8799 the land 776 unto x5704 the place 4725 of Sichem, 7927 unto x5704 the plain 436 of Moreh. 4176 And the Canaanite 3669 [was] then 227 in the land. 776

 12:7 And the LORD 3068 appeared 7200 z8735 unto x413 Abram, 87 and said, 559 z8799 Unto thy seed 2233 will I give 5414 z8799 x853 this 2063 land: 776 and there x8033 builded 1129 z8799 he an altar 4196 unto the LORD, 3068 who appeared 7200 z8737 unto x413 him.

 12:8 And he removed 6275 z8686 from thence x4480 x8033 unto a mountain 2022 on the east 6924 x4480 of Bethel, 1008 and pitched 5186 z8799 his tent, 168 [having] Bethel 1008 on the west, 3220 x4480 and Hai 5857 on the east: 6924 x4480 and there x8033 he builded 1129 z8799 an altar 4196 unto the LORD, 3068 and called 7121 z8799 upon the name 8034 of the LORD. 3068

 12:9 And Abram 87 journeyed, 5265 z8799 going on 1980 z8800 still 5265 z8800 toward the south. 5045

 12:10 ¶ And there was x1961 a famine 7458 in the land: 776 and Abram 87 went down 3381 z8799 into Egypt 4714 to sojourn 1481 z8800 there; x8033 for x3588 the famine 7458 [was] grievous 3515 in the land. 776

 12:11 And it came to pass, x1961 when 834 he was come near 7126 z8689 to enter 935 z8800 into Egypt, 4714 that he said 559 z8799 unto x413 Sarai 8297 his wife, 802 Behold 2009 now, 4994 I know 3045 z8804 that x3588 thou x859 [art] a fair 3303 woman 802 to look upon: 4758

 12:12 Therefore it shall come to pass, x1961 when x3588 the Egyptians 4713 shall see 7200 z8799 thee, that they shall say, 559 z8804 This x2063 [is] his wife: 802 and they will kill 2026 z8804 me, but they will save thee alive. 2421 z8762

 12:13 Say, 559 z8798 I pray thee, 4994 thou x859 [art] my sister: 269 that 4616 it may be well 3190 z8799 with me for thy sake; x5668 and my soul 5315 shall live 2421 z8804 because of x1558 thee. y1558

 12:14 ¶ And it came to pass, x1961 that, when Abram 87 was come 935 z8800 into Egypt, 4714 the Egyptians 4713 beheld 7200 z8799 x853 the woman 802 that x3588 she x1931 [was] very 3966 fair. 3303

 12:15 The princes 8269 also of Pharaoh 6547 saw 7200 z8799 her, and commended 1984 z8762 her before 413 Pharaoh: 6547 and the woman 802 was taken 3947 z8714 into Pharaoh's 6547 house. 1004

 12:16 And he entreated y3190 z0 Abram y87 well 3190 z8689 x87 for her sake: x5668 and he had x1961 sheep, 6629 and oxen, 1241 and he asses, 2543 and menservants, 5650 and maidservants, 8198 and she asses, 860 and camels. 1581

 12:17 And the LORD 3068 plagued 5060 z8762 x853 Pharaoh 6547 and his house 1004 with great 1419 plagues 5061 because of 1697 x5921 Sarai 8297 Abram's 87 wife. 802

 12:18 And Pharaoh 6547 called 7121 z8799 Abram, 87 and said, 559 z8799 What x4100 [is] this x2063 [that] thou hast done 6213 z8804 unto me? why x4100 didst thou not x3808 tell 5046 z8689 me that x3588 she x1931 [was] thy wife? 802

 12:19 Why x4100 saidst x559 thou, y559 z8804 She x1931 [is] my sister? 269 so I might have taken 3947 z8799 her to me to wife: 802 now therefore x6258 behold x2009 thy wife, 802 take 3947 z8798 [her], and go thy way. y3212 z8798 x1980

 12:20 And Pharaoh 6547 commanded 6680 z8762 [his] men y582 x376 concerning x5921 him: and they sent him away, 7971 z8762 x853 and his wife, 802 and all x3605 that x834 he had.
