Genesis 27

1 Isaac sendeth Esau for venison. 6 Rebekah instructeth Jacob to obtain the blessing. 15 Jacob under the person of Esau obtaineth it. 30 Esau bringeth venison. 33 Isaac trembleth. 34 Esau complaineth, and by importunity obtaineth a blessing. 41 He threateneth Jacob. 42 Rebekah disappointeth it.

 27:1 ¶ And it came to pass, 1961 z8799 that x3588 when Isaac 3327 was old, 2204 z8804 and his eyes 5869 were dim, 3543 z8799 so that he could not see, 7200 z8800 x4480 he called 7121 z8799 x853 Esau 6215 his eldest 1419 son, 1121 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, My son: 1121 and he said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Behold, x2009 [here am] I.

 27:2 And he said, 559 z8799 Behold x2009 now, x4994 I am old, 2204 z8804 I know 3045 z8804 not x3808 the day 3117 of my death: 4194

 27:3 Now x6258 therefore take, 5375 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 thy weapons, 3627 thy quiver 8522 and thy bow, 7198 and go out 3318 z8798 to the field, 7704 and take 6679 z8798 me [some] venison; 6718 z8675 y6720

 27:4 And make 6213 z8798 me savoury meat, 4303 such as 834 I love, 157 z8804 and bring 935 z8685 [it] to me, that I may eat; 398 z8799 that x5668 my soul 5315 may bless 1288 z8762 thee before 2962 I die. 4191 z8799

 27:5 And Rebekah 7259 heard 8085 z8802 when Isaac 3327 spake 1696 z8763 to x413 Esau 6215 his son. 1121 And Esau 6215 went y3212 z8799 x1980 to the field 7704 to hunt 6679 z8800 [for] venison, 6718 [and] to bring 935 z8687 [it].

 27:6 ¶ And Rebekah 7259 spake 559 z8804 unto x413 Jacob 3290 her son, 1121 saying, 559 z8800 Behold, x2009 I heard 8085 z8804 x853 thy father 1 speak 1696 z8764 unto x413 Esau 6215 thy brother, 251 saying, 559 z8800

 27:7 Bring 935 z8685 me venison, 6718 and make 6213 z8798 me savoury meat, 4303 that I may eat, 398 z8799 and bless 1288 z8762 thee before 6440 the LORD 3068 before 6440 my death. 4194

 27:8 Now x6258 therefore, my son, 1121 obey 8085 z8798 my voice 6963 according to that which 834 I x589 command 6680 z8764 thee.

 27:9 Go y3212 z8798 x1980 now x4994 to x413 the flock, 6629 and fetch 3947 z8798 me from thence x4480 x8033 two 8147 good 2896 kids 1423 of the goats; 5795 and I will make 6213 z8799 them savoury meat 4303 for thy father, 1 such as x834 he loveth: 157 z8804

 27:10 And thou shalt bring 935 z8689 [it] to thy father, 1 that he may eat, 398 z8804 and that 834 x5668 he may bless 1288 z8762 thee before 6440 his death. 4194

 27:11 And Jacob 3290 said 559 z8799 to x413 Rebekah 7259 his mother, 517 Behold, x2005 Esau 6215 my brother 251 [is] a hairy 8163 man, 376 and I x595 [am] a smooth 2509 man: 376

 27:12 My father 1 peradventure x194 will feel 4959 z8799 me, and I shall seem y5869 x1961 to him x5869 as a deceiver; 8591 z8772 and I shall bring 935 z8689 a curse 7045 upon x5921 me, and not x3808 a blessing. 1293

 27:13 And his mother 517 said 559 z8799 unto him, Upon x5921 me [be] thy curse, 7045 my son: 1121 only x389 obey 8085 z8798 my voice, 6963 and go y3212 z8798 x1980 fetch 3947 z8798 me [them].

 27:14 And he went, y3212 z8799 x1980 and fetched, 3947 z8799 and brought 935 z8686 [them] to his mother: 517 and his mother 517 made 6213 z8799 savoury meat, 4303 such as x834 his father 1 loved. 157 z8804

 27:15 And Rebekah 7259 took 3947 z8799 x853 goodly y2532 x2530 raiment 899 of her eldest 1419 son 1121 Esau, 6215 which x834 [were] with x854 her in the house, 1004 and put them upon 3847 z8686 x853 Jacob 3290 her younger 6996 son: 1121

 27:16 And she put 3847 z8689 the skins 5785 of the kids 1423 of the goats 5795 upon x5921 his hands, 3027 and upon x5921 the smooth 2513 of his neck: 6677

 27:17 And she gave 5414 z8799 x853 the savoury meat 4303 and the bread, 3899 which x834 she had prepared, 6213 z8804 into the hand 3027 of her son 1121 Jacob. 3290

 27:18 ¶ And he came 935 z8799 unto x413 his father, 1 and said, 559 z8799 My father: 1 and he said, 559 z8799 Here x2009 [am] I; who x4310 [art] thou, x859 my son? 1121

 27:19 And Jacob 3290 said 559 z8799 unto x413 his father, 1 I x595 [am] Esau 6215 thy firstborn; 1060 I have done 6213 z8804 according as x834 thou badest 1696 z8765 x413 me: arise, 6965 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 sit 3427 z8798 and eat 398 z8798 of my venison, 6718 x4480 that x5668 thy soul 5315 may bless 1288 z8762 me.

 27:20 And Isaac 3327 said 559 z8799 unto x413 his son, 1121 How x4100 [is it] x2088 that thou hast found 4672 z8800 [it] so quickly, 4116 z8765 my son? 1121 And he said, 559 z8799 Because x3588 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 brought 7136 z8689 [it] to x6440 me. y6440

 27:21 And Isaac 3327 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Jacob, 3290 Come near, 5066 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 that I may feel 4184 z8799 thee, my son, 1121 whether thou x859 [be] my very 2088 son 1121 Esau 6215 or x518 not. x3808

 27:22 And Jacob 3290 went near 5066 z8799 unto x413 Isaac 3327 his father; 1 and he felt 4959 z8799 him, and said, 559 z8799 The voice 6963 [is] Jacob's 3290 voice, 6963 but the hands 3027 [are] the hands 3027 of Esau. 6215

 27:23 And he discerned 5234 z8689 him not, x3808 because x3588 his hands 3027 were x1961 hairy, 8163 as his brother 251 Esau's 6215 hands: 3027 so he blessed 1288 z8762 him.

 27:24 And he said, 559 z8799 [Art] thou x859 my very x2088 son 1121 Esau? 6215 And he said, 559 z8799 I x589 [am].

 27:25 And he said, 559 z8799 Bring [it] near 5066 z8685 to me, and I will eat 398 z8799 of my son's 1121 venison, 6718 x4480 that x4616 my soul 5315 may bless 1288 z8762 thee. And he brought [it] near 5066 z8686 to him, and he did eat: 398 z8799 and he brought 935 z8686 him wine, 3196 and he drank. 8354 z8799

 27:26 And his father 1 Isaac 3327 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Come near 5066 z8798 now, x4994 and kiss 5401 z8798 me, my son. 1121

 27:27 And he came near, 5066 z8799 and kissed 5401 z8799 him: and he smelled 7306 z8686 x853 the smell 7381 of his raiment, 899 and blessed 1288 z8762 him, and said, 559 z8799 See, 7200 z8798 the smell 7381 of my son 1121 [is] as the smell 7381 of a field 7704 which x834 the LORD 3068 hath blessed: 1288 z8765

 27:28 Therefore God 430 give 5414 z8799 thee of the dew 2919 x4480 of heaven, 8064 and the fatness 4924 of the earth, 776 and plenty 7230 of corn 1715 and wine: 8492

 27:29 Let people 5971 serve 5647 z8799 thee, and nations 3816 bow down 7812 z8691 to thee: be 1933 z8798 lord 1376 over thy brethren, 251 and let thy mother's 517 sons 1121 bow down 7812 z8691 to thee: cursed 779 z8803 [be] every one that curseth 779 z8802 thee, and blessed 1288 z8803 [be] he that blesseth 1288 z8764 thee.

 27:30 ¶ And it came to pass, x1961 as soon as x834 Isaac 3327 had made an end 3615 z8765 of blessing 1288 z8763 x853 Jacob, 3290 and Jacob 3290 was x1961 yet 389 scarce y3318 z8800 gone out 3318 z8804 from x4480 x854 the presence 6440 of Isaac 3327 his father, 1 that Esau 6215 his brother 251 came in 935 z8804 from his hunting. 6718 x4480

 27:31 And he x1931 also x1571 had made 6213 z8799 savoury meat, 4303 and brought x935 it y935 z8686 unto his father, 1 and said 559 z8799 unto his father, 1 Let my father 1 arise, 6965 z8799 and eat 398 z8799 of his son's 1121 venison, 6718 x4480 that x5668 thy soul 5315 may bless 1288 z8762 me.

 27:32 And Isaac 3327 his father 1 said 559 z8799 unto him, Who x4310 [art] thou? x859 And he said, 559 z8799 I x589 [am] thy son, 1121 thy firstborn 1060 Esau. 6215

 27:33 And Isaac 3327 trembled 2729 z8799 very y1419 exceedingly, 3966 2731 x1419 x5704 and said, 559 z8799 Who? x4310 where 645 [is] he x1931 that hath taken 6679 z8801 venison, 6718 and brought 935 z8686 [it] me, and I have eaten 398 z8799 of all x4480 x3605 before x2962 thou camest, 935 z8799 and have blessed 1288 z8762 him? yea, x1571 [and] he shall be x1961 blessed. 1288 z8803

 27:34 And when Esau 6215 heard 8085 z8800 x853 the words 1697 of his father, 1 he cried 6817 z8799 with a great 1419 and x5704 exceeding 3966 bitter 4751 cry, 6818 and said 559 z8799 unto his father, 1 Bless 1288 z8761 me, [even] me x589 also, x1571 O my father. 1

 27:35 And he said, 559 z8799 Thy brother 251 came 935 z8804 with subtilty, 4820 and hath taken away 3947 z8799 thy blessing. 1293

 27:36 And he said, 559 z8799 Is not he rightly 3588 named 7121 8034 z8804 Jacob? 3290 for he hath supplanted x6117 me y6117 z8799 these 2088 two times: 6471 he took away 3947 z8804 x853 my birthright; 1062 and, behold, x2009 now x6258 he hath taken away 3947 z8804 my blessing. 1293 And he said, 559 z8799 Hast thou not x3808 reserved 680 z8804 a blessing 1293 for me?

 27:37 And Isaac 3327 answered 6030 z8799 and said 559 z8799 unto Esau, 6215 Behold, x2005 I have made 7760 z8804 him thy lord, 1376 and all x3605 his brethren 251 have I given 5414 z8804 to him for servants; 5650 and with corn 1715 and wine 8492 have I sustained 5564 z8804 him: and what x4100 shall I do 6213 z8799 now 645 unto thee, my son? 1121

 27:38 And Esau 6215 said 559 z8799 unto x413 his father, 1 Hast thou but one 259 blessing, 1293 my father? 1 bless 1288 z8761 me, [even] me x589 also, x1571 O my father. 1 And Esau 6215 lifted up 5375 z8799 his voice, 6963 and wept. 1058 z8799

 27:39 And Isaac 3327 his father 1 answered 6030 z8799 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Behold, x2009 thy dwelling 4186 shall be x1961 the fatness 4924 x4480 of the earth, 776 and of the dew 2919 x4480 of heaven 8064 from above; 5920 x4480

 27:40 And by x5921 thy sword 2719 shalt thou live, 2421 z8799 and shalt serve 5647 z8799 thy brother; 251 and it shall come to pass x1961 when x834 thou shalt have the dominion, 7300 z8686 that thou shalt break 6561 z8804 his yoke 5923 from off x4480 x5921 thy neck. 6677

 27:41 ¶ And Esau 6215 hated 7852 z8799 x853 Jacob 3290 because y5921 of x5921 the blessing 1293 wherewith 834 his father 1 blessed x1288 him: y1288 z8765 and Esau 6215 said 559 z8799 in his heart, 3820 The days 3117 of mourning 60 for my father 1 are at hand; 7126 z8799 then will I slay 2026 z8799 x853 my brother 251 Jacob. 3290

 27:42 And x853 these words 1697 of Esau 6215 her elder 1419 son 1121 were told 5046 z8714 to Rebekah: 7259 and she sent 7971 z8799 and called 7121 z8799 Jacob 3290 her younger 6996 son, 1121 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Behold, x2009 thy brother 251 Esau, 6215 as touching thee, doth comfort y5162 z8693 himself, x5162 [purposing] to kill 2026 z8800 thee.

 27:43 Now x6258 therefore, my son, 1121 obey 8085 z8798 my voice; 6963 and arise, 6965 z8798 flee 1272 z8798 thou to x413 Laban 3837 my brother 251 to Haran; 2771

 27:44 And tarry 3427 z8804 with x5973 him a few 259 days, 3117 until 834 x5704 thy brother's 251 fury 2534 turn away; 7725 z8799

 27:45 Until x5704 thy brother's 251 anger 639 turn away 7725 z8800 from x4480 thee, and he forget 7911 z8804 x853 [that] which x834 thou hast done 6213 z8804 to him: then I will send, 7971 z8804 and fetch 3947 z8804 thee from thence: x4480 x8033 why 4100 should I be deprived 7921 z8799 also x1571 of you both 8147 in one 259 day? 3117

 27:46 And Rebekah 7259 said 559 z8799 to x413 Isaac, 3327 I am weary 6973 z8804 of my life 2416 because 6440 x4480 of the daughters 1323 of Heth: 2845 if x518 Jacob 3290 take 3947 z8802 a wife 802 of the daughters 1323 x4480 of Heth, 2845 such as these x428 [which are] of the daughters 1323 x4480 of the land, 776 what good 4100 shall my life 2416 do me?
