Genesis 22

1 Abraham is tempted to offer Isaac. 3 He giveth proof of his faith and obedience. 11 The angel stayeth him. 13 Isaac is exchanged with a ram. 14 The place is called JEHOVAH-jireh. 15 Abraham is blessed again. 20 The generation of Nahor unto Rebekah.

 22:1 ¶ And it came to pass x1961 after 310 these x428 things, 1697 that God 430 did tempt 5254 z8765 x853 Abraham, 85 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Abraham: 85 and he said, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 [here] I [am].

 22:2 And he said, 559 z8799 Take x3947 now y3947 z8798 x4994 x853 thy son, 1121 x853 thine only 3173 [son] x853 Isaac, 3327 whom x834 thou lovest, 157 z8804 and get x1980 thee y3212 z8798 into x413 the land 776 of Moriah; 4179 and offer x5927 him y5927 z8685 there x8033 for a burnt offering 5930 upon x5921 one 259 of the mountains 2022 which x834 I will tell 559 z8799 thee of. x413

 22:3 ¶ And Abraham 85 rose up early 7925 z8686 in the morning, 1242 and saddled 2280 z8799 x853 his ass, 2543 and took 3947 z8799 x853 two 8147 of his young men 5288 with x854 him, and Isaac 3327 his son, 1121 and clave 1234 z8762 the wood 6086 for the burnt offering, 5930 and rose up, 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 unto x413 the place 4725 of which x834 God 430 had told 559 z8804 him.

 22:4 Then on the third 7992 day 3117 Abraham 85 lifted up 5375 z8799 x853 his eyes, 5869 and saw 7200 z8799 x853 the place 4725 afar off. 7350 x4480

 22:5 And Abraham 85 said 559 z8799 unto x413 his young men, 5288 Abide 3427 z8798 ye here x6311 with x5973 the ass; 2543 and I x589 and the lad 5288 will go y3212 z8799 x1980 yonder 3541 x5704 and worship, 7812 z8691 and come again 7725 z8799 to x413 you.

 22:6 And Abraham 85 took 3947 z8799 x853 the wood 6086 of the burnt offering, 5930 and laid 7760 z8799 [it] upon x5921 Isaac 3327 his son; 1121 and he took 3947 z8799 x853 the fire 784 in his hand, 3027 and a knife; 3979 and they went y3212 z8799 x1980 both 8147 of them together. 3162

 22:7 And Isaac 3327 spake 559 z8799 unto x413 Abraham 85 his father, 1 and said, 559 z8799 My father: 1 and he said, 559 z8799 Here x2009 [am] I, my son. 1121 And he said, 559 z8799 Behold x2009 the fire 784 and the wood: 6086 but where x346 [is] the lamb 7716 for a burnt offering? 5930

 22:8 And Abraham 85 said, 559 z8799 My son, 1121 God 430 will provide 7200 z8799 himself a lamb 7716 for a burnt offering: 5930 so they went y3212 z8799 x1980 both x8147 of them y8147 together. 3162

 22:9 And they came 935 z8799 to x413 the place 4725 which x834 God 430 had told 559 z8804 him of; and Abraham 85 built 1129 z8799 x853 an altar 4196 there, x8033 and laid y6186 z0 the wood y6086 in order, 6186 z8799 x853 x6086 and bound 6123 z8799 x853 Isaac 3327 his son, 1121 and laid 7760 z8799 him on x5921 the altar 4196 upon 4605 x4480 the wood. 6086

 22:10 And Abraham 85 stretched forth 7971 z8799 x853 his hand, 3027 and took 3947 z8799 x853 the knife 3979 to slay 7819 z8800 x853 his son. 1121

 22:11 And the angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 called 7121 z8799 unto x413 him out of x4480 heaven, 8064 and said, 559 z8799 Abraham, 85 Abraham: 85 and he said, 559 z8799 Here x2009 [am] I.

 22:12 And he said, 559 z8799 Lay 7971 z8799 not x408 thine hand 3027 upon 413 the lad, 5288 neither x408 do x6213 thou y6213 z8799 any thing 3972 unto him: for x3588 now 6258 I know 3045 z8804 that x3588 thou x859 fearest 3373 God, 430 seeing thou hast not 3808 withheld 2820 z8804 x853 thy son, 1121 x853 thine only 3173 [son] from x4480 me.

 22:13 And Abraham 85 lifted up 5375 z8799 x853 his eyes, 5869 and looked, 7200 z8799 and behold x2009 behind 310 [him] a ram 352 caught 270 z8737 in a thicket 5442 by his horns: 7161 and Abraham 85 went y3212 z8799 x1980 and took 3947 z8799 x853 the ram, 352 and offered him up 5927 z8686 for a burnt offering 5930 in the stead y8478 of x8478 his son. 1121

 22:14 And Abraham 85 called 7121 z8799 the name 8034 of that x1931 place 4725 Jehovahjireh: 3070 as 834 it is said 559 z8735 [to] this day, 3117 In the mount 2022 of the LORD 3068 it shall be seen. 7200 z8735

 22:15 ¶ And the angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 called 7121 z8799 unto x413 Abraham 85 out of x4480 heaven 8064 the second time, 8145

 22:16 And said, 559 z8799 By myself have I sworn, 7650 z8738 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 for x3588 because 3282 834 thou hast done 6213 z8804 x853 this x2088 thing, 1697 and hast not 3808 withheld 2820 z8804 x853 thy son, 1121 x853 thine only 3173 [son]:

 22:17 That x3588 in blessing 1288 z8763 I will bless 1288 z8762 thee, and in multiplying 7235 z8687 I will multiply 7235 z8686 x853 thy seed 2233 as the stars 3556 of the heaven, 8064 and as the sand 2344 which x834 [is] upon x5921 the sea 3220 shore; 8193 and thy seed 2233 shall possess 3423 z8799 x853 the gate 8179 of his enemies; 341 z8802

 22:18 And in thy seed 2233 shall all x3605 the nations 1471 of the earth 776 be blessed; 1288 z8694 because 834 6118 thou hast obeyed 8085 z8804 my voice. 6963

 22:19 So Abraham 85 returned 7725 z8799 unto x413 his young men, 5288 and they rose up 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 together 3162 to x413 Beersheba; 884 and Abraham 85 dwelt 3427 z8799 at Beersheba. 884

 22:20 ¶ And it came to pass x1961 after 310 these x428 things, 1697 that it was told 5046 z8714 Abraham, 85 saying, 559 z8800 Behold, x2009 Milcah, 4435 she x1931 hath also x1571 born 3205 z8804 children 1121 unto thy brother 251 Nahor; 5152

 22:21 x853 Huz 5780 his firstborn, 1060 and Buz 938 his brother, 251 and Kemuel 7055 the father 1 of Aram, 758

 22:22 And Chesed, 3777 and Hazo, 2375 and Pildash, 6394 and Jidlaph, 3044 and Bethuel. 1328

 22:23 And Bethuel 1328 begat 3205 z8804 x853 Rebekah: 7259 these x428 eight 8083 Milcah 4435 did bear 3205 z8804 to Nahor, 5152 Abraham's 85 brother. 251

 22:24 And his concubine, 6370 whose name 8034 [was] Reumah, 7208 she x1931 bare 3205 z8799 also x1571 x853 Tebah, 2875 and Gaham, 1514 and Thahash, 8477 and Maachah. 4601
