2 Kings 7

1 Elisha prophesieth incredible plenty in Samaria. 3 Four lepers, venturing on the host of the Syrians, bring tidings of their flight. 12 The king, finding by spies the news to be true, spoileth the tents of the Syrians. 17 The lord, who would not believe the prophecy of plenty, having charge of the gate, is trodden to death in the press.

 7:1 ¶ Then Elisha 477 said, 559 z8799 Heare 8085 z8798 yee the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 To morrowe 4279 about this time 6256 shal a measure 5429 of fine flower 5560 [be sold] for a shekell, 8255 and two measures 5429 of barley 8184 for a shekel, 8255 in the gate 8179 of Samaria. 8111

 7:2 Then a lord 7991 on x5921 whose x834 hand 3027 the king 4428 leaned, 8172 z8737 answered 6030 z8799 x853 the man 376 of God, 430 and said, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 [if] the LORD 3068 would make 6213 z8802 windowes 699 in heauen, 8064 might this x2088 thing 1697 bee? x1961 and he saide, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 thou shalt see 7200 z8802 [it] with thine eies, 5869 but shalt not x3808 eate 398 z8799 thereof. x4480 x8033

 7:3 ¶ And there were x1961 foure 702 leprous 6879 z8794 men y582 x376 at the entring in 6607 of the gate: 8179 and they saide 559 z8799 one 376 to x413 another, 7453 Why x4100 sit 3427 z8802 wee x587 here x6311 vntill x5704 we die? 4191 z8804

 7:4 If x518 we say, 559 z8804 We will enter 935 z8799 into the citie, 5892 then the famine 7458 [is] in the citie, 5892 and wee shall die 4191 z8804 there: x8033 and if x518 we sit x3427 still y3427 z8804 here, x6311 we die 4191 z8804 also. Now x6258 therefore come, y3212 z8798 x1980 and let vs fall 5307 z8799 vnto x413 the host 4264 of the Syrians: 758 if x518 they saue vs aliue, 2421 z8762 we shall liue; 2421 z8799 and if x518 they kill 4191 z8686 vs, we shall but die. 4191 z8804

 7:5 And they rose vp 6965 z8799 in the twilight, 5399 to goe 935 z8800 vnto x413 the campe 4264 of the Syrians: 758 and when they were come 935 z8799 to x5704 the vttermost part 7097 of the campe 4264 of Syria, 758 behold, x2009 there was no x369 man 376 there. x8033

 7:6 For the Lord 136 had made x853 the host 4264 of the Syrians 758 to heare 8085 z8689 a noise 6963 of charets, 7393 and a noise 6963 of horses, 5483 [euen] the noise 6963 of a great 1419 host: 2428 and they said 559 z8799 one 376 to x413 another, 251 Loe, x2009 the king 4428 of Israel 3478 hath hired 7936 z8804 against x5921 vs x853 the kings 4428 of the Hittites, 2850 and the kings 4428 of the Egyptians, 4714 to come 935 z8800 vpon x5921 vs.

 7:7 Wherefore they arose 6965 z8799 and fled 5127 z8799 in the twilight, 5399 and left 5800 z8799 x853 their tents, 168 and their horses, 5483 and their asses, 2543 euen the campe 4264 as x834 it x1931 [was], and fled 5127 z8799 for x413 their life. 5315

 7:8 And when these x428 lepers 6879 z8794 came 935 z8799 to x5704 the vttermost part 7097 of the campe, 4264 they went 935 z8799 into x413 one 259 tent, 168 and did eate, 398 z8799 and drinke, 8354 z8799 and carried 5375 z8799 thence x4480 x8033 siluer, 3701 and gold, 2091 and raiment, 899 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 and hid 2934 z8686 it, and came againe, 7725 z8799 and entred 935 z8799 into x413 another 312 tent, 168 and carried 5375 z8799 thence x4480 x8033 also, and went y3212 z8799 x1980 and hid 2934 z8686 it.

 7:9 Then they said 559 z8799 one 376 to x413 another, 7453 We x587 doe 6213 z8802 not x3808 well: x3651 this x2088 day 3117 is a day 3117 of good tydings, 1309 and we x587 hold our peace: 2814 z8688 if we tarie 2442 z8765 till x5704 the morning 1242 light, 216 some mischiefe 5771 will come y4672 z8804 vpon x4672 vs: nowe x6258 therefore come, y3212 z8798 x1980 that we may goe, 935 z8799 and tell 5046 z8686 the kings 4428 houshold. 1004

 7:10 So they came, 935 z8799 and called 7121 z8799 vnto x413 the porter 7778 of the citie: 5892 and they told 5046 z8686 them, saying; 559 z8800 We came 935 z8804 to x413 the campe 4264 of the Syrians, 758 and behold, x2009 [there was] no x369 man 376 there, x8033 neither voice 6963 of man, 120 but x3588 x518 horses 5483 tyed, 631 z8803 and asses 2543 tyed, 631 z8803 and the tents 168 as x834 they x1992 [were].

 7:11 And hee called 7121 z8799 the porters, 7778 and they told 5046 z8686 [it] to the kings 4428 house 1004 within. 6441

 7:12 ¶ And the king 4428 arose 6965 z8799 in the night, 3915 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 his seruants, 5650 I will now x4994 shew 5046 z8686 you x853 what x834 the Syrians 758 haue done 6213 z8804 to vs: They know 3045 z8804 that x3588 we x587 [be] hungrie, 7457 therefore are they gone out 3318 z8799 of x4480 the camp, 4264 to hide y2247 z8736 themselues x2247 in the field, 7704 saying; 559 z8800 When x3588 they come out 3318 z8799 of x4480 the citie, 5892 we shal catch 8610 z8799 them aliue, 2416 and get 935 z8799 into x413 the citie. 5892

 7:13 And one 259 of his seruants 5650 x4480 answered, 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 Let some take, 3947 z8799 I pray thee, x4994 fiue 2568 of x4480 the horses 5483 that remaine, 7604 z8737 which x834 are left 7604 z8738 in the citie: (behold, x2009 they are as all x3605 the multitude 1995 of Israel 3478 that x834 are left 7604 z8738 in it: behold, x2009 I say, they are euen as all x3605 the multitude 1995 of the Israelites 3478 that x834 are consumed) 8552 z8804 and let vs send, 7971 z8799 and see. 7200 z8799

 7:14 They tooke 3947 z8799 therefore two 8147 charet 7393 horses, 5483 and the king 4428 sent 7971 z8799 after 310 the hoste 4264 of the Syrians, 758 saying, 559 z8800 Goe, y3212 z8798 x1980 and see. 7200 z8798

 7:15 And they went y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 them vnto x5704 Iordane, 3383 and loe, x2009 all x3605 the way 1870 was full 4392 of garments, 899 and vessels, 3627 which x834 the Syrians 758 had cast away 7993 z8689 in their haste: 2648 z8800 and the messengers 4397 returned, 7725 z8799 and told 5046 z8686 the king. 4428

 7:16 And the people 5971 went out, 3318 z8799 and spoiled 962 z8799 x853 the tents 4264 of the Syrians: 758 So a measure 5429 of fine flowre 5560 was x1961 [sold] for a shekell, 8255 and two measures 5429 of barley 8184 for a shekel, 8255 according to the word 1697 of the LORD. 3068

 7:17 ¶ And the king 4428 appointed 6485 z8689 x853 the lord 7991 on x5921 whose x834 hand 3027 he leaned, 8172 z8737 to haue the charge of x5921 the gate: 8179 and the people 5971 trode y7429 z8799 vpon x7429 him in the gate, 8179 and he died, 4191 z8799 as x834 the man 376 of God 430 had said, 1696 z8765 who x834 spake 1696 z8765 when the king 4428 came downe 3381 z8800 to x413 him.

 7:18 And it came to passe, x1961 as the man 376 of God 430 had spoken 1696 z8763 to x413 the king, 4428 saying, 559 z8800 Two measures 5429 of barley 8184 for a shekel, 8255 and a measure 5429 of fine flowre 5560 for a shekel, 8255 shalbe x1961 to morrow 4279 about this time, 6256 in the gate 8179 of Samaria: 8111

 7:19 And that lord 7991 answered 6030 z8799 x853 the man 376 of God, 430 and said, 559 z8799 Now behold, x2009 if the LORD 3068 should make 6213 z8802 windowes 699 in heauen, 8064 might such x2088 a thing 1697 be? x1961 And he said, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 thou shalt see 7200 z8802 it with thine eyes, 5869 but shalt not x3808 eate 398 z8799 thereof. x4480 x8033
